The reason you guys are having success with Sandalore and it works (we'll just wait and see how much) is this:
Dihydrotestosterone inhibits hair growth in mice by inhibiting insulin-like growth factor-I production in dermal papillae.
TGF-β1 secretion is increased by androgen treatment in DP-6
And the way that Sandalore helps:
"This analysis revealed a significant decrease in TGF-β2 (Supplementary Fig. 3a) and a significant increase of IGF-1 (Fig. 1d) protein expression in the proximal ORS after long-term Sandalore® treatment"
this case illustrates the extreme importance of delivery vehicle and active agent permeability on human skin.
n-acetylcysteine (NALC), mentioned in the 2nd article, has already been described as a good inhibitor a ROS-mediated, androgen-induced destruction of the hair follicle:
Prostaglandin D2 Uses Components of ROS Signaling to Enhance Testosterone Production in Keratinocytes.
However, there is not one single study using NALC on Androgenetic Alopecia patients, probably because of poor skin delivery. Go Sandalore go !
