@champpy You willing to send me the name of the clinic you went to? I'm considering it doing it as well.
I asked the clinic i went to if they are ok with me releasing their name. They said they will be, but they want to make sure this procudure works first before offering it to everyone.
Ill have my return visit in 6 weeks. If all goes well ill release the name then.
Just hold tight for a few more weeks guys

@champpy one more question- how many threads were inserted in Your crown?
No problem, it was roughly 8-10. The tech said it was enough to create the crosshatch effect that they go for. They try to form the needles in a grid shape like a tic tac toe board, like this #

Since im here its almost been two weeks so ill give a brief update.
Honestly nothing so far but that was expected. I still have one spot thats a little sensitive to touch, but its getting better.
Tech said that on rare occasions a thread will come out, but it would be impossible to notice if hair was nearby. This may be whats going on with me with this one spot, idk.
As far as the clinic name, i remember him telling me something like "if this works we will make billions", so they are def on board with doing this, if it works. Its probably speaks to their credibility that they want to verify results before charging others for this.

Pictures from the article were results after 3 months so yeah I guess there is still time to see results

There are other doctors, but at least you tried. Honestly it might be better for everyone to wait a few weeks to see if this even helps at all before anyone else spends money on this

I agree, but on the other hand the more people try the more certain we can be about this. Just imagine if you were a bad responder or if they did something wrong and a descend growth enabler remains undiscovered. I mean who knows, this is the first time anyone really tries this on the scalp.

I'll try to contact a few clinics in the UK this week to see if there is interest. Personally, I place way too much hope on this, but it would be amazing to have something that substitutes minoxidil...

I believe the study mentioned the growth factors don't release until after 3 weeks, so nothing should be expected until after then.
Thanks for the update though.

I also agree with jonnywalker93 regarding someone else trying it.

How long does it take a 25 mm^2 or larger wound to heal? Maybe that's about how long the threads should keep the wounds open :) Maybe this will push the wound into regeneration mode instead of repair mode.

Also @champpy duuuuude hurry up and tell me who this person is...I'm in ATX and wanna try!

Hey guys,

I just got an email back from a clinic in Bangkok. They seem to be interested in the procedure. Waiting on champpy's result before i confirm the appointment.

@champpy heya - thanks for being so thorough :)

Can you please create a new thread titled something along the lines of scalp threading with pics with your before and after photos (when you get em).

It is slow work / much effort trying to find your pics and relevant news over 17 pages.

Cheers!!

I think it has more to do with the results of the SEOUL study, which says that the CXXC5 when interacting with the (Dvl) protein is responsible for hair loss, and that this CXXC5 protein is reduced with acute wounds. this study maybe revolutionary, and may lead to a cure, because unlike other studies, this one makes the link between hair loss and DHT. and wounds also.

It's been 3 weeks since the procedure. Do you feel a reduction in inflammation, hair loss reduced, or anything like that?

Everything that ever gave me regrowth immediately stopped the painful scalp feel and the itching, then the shedding reduced, and regrowth slowly followed. If you don't feel any change then this might not have a bright future. By the 3 week mark you should definitely be able to tell if something is happening.

To be fair the research project took 12 weeks.

As it’s a new treatment who the hell knows if those things matter or not.

I vote we all chill out and wait for 12 week update.

@champpy is that fair to say?

I think its still to early to say for sure.
Just 3 weeks in. My hair doesn't look any worse really. It kind of looks fuller, but its also been about a month since my last haircut so...
I have not noticed a decrease in shedding at all. Its not been a horrible amount, but its remained the same as it was for past few months.
Thats all i can really say. I took a pic at the gym the other day but i wont post it cause lighting/angle/distance is all different and id get sh*t from someone.
Ill try to take update photos next week after a cut.

I don't think you should post pictures till you can see a visible difference or 12 weeks. I'm still up for it when they let you. My hair loss is diffused so might be worth a shot. Who knows.
