I said a shaved head worked on me, but on most guys it won't unfortunately. It surely doesn't work for Adam Levine.

Lol. You think the shaved head doesn't work on Adam Levine? It does work, it's just not preferred to his style. It makes him look more uniform/boring in the eyes of girls, that is all. You can't see that? It looks fine, it just takes away a lot of his character and looks. He is good looking so the change is felt more among his fans. You think you look better than this? Lol if he got those comments you can amplify it by a million for you. I don't mean that in a cruel way, I mean you are saying you look better than this guy with a shaved head? Okay. Honestly, sometimes I wonder how your mind and real life works.

This was actually a pleasant surprise for me:

http://www.billboard.com/articles/c...-blonde-brunette-hair-poll?utm_source=twitter

Did anyone else, as soon as you saw what the link actually is, quickly assume that bald would be at 0.002% or something?

I mean it is a pretty pointless poll and people can just click on anything for a laugh, but he does look particularly worse bald than with hair (and I know pretty much every guy looks worse, but without dark stubble he has a particularly bad head shape) and maybe there's a few more people out there who appreciate baldness than I thought.

Where did I say I thought I looked better than him? That would be crazy.

"Hey girls, I look better than the guy that's been elected the hottest guy on the planet, right?"

CONFIDENCE!

- - - Updated - - -

1 out of 10 women actually like bald guys? It puts things into perspective, I know it's just an internet poll, but these women could have as easily clicked on the two other options.

nope

1 out of 10 women like bald adam levine over a BLONDE adam levine lol...... I doubt that equates to the bald population

You could be confident talking in front of people, confident in your ability to do something well but that doesnt neccesarily translate to confidence in other areas such as confidence to talk to that banging babe. As hellouser said confidence is a byproduct of predictability. If you continously get the same outcome through your actions, of course you will become confident in that area

Thats a good way of looking at it but then wouldnt it be a byproduct of repetition? It kind of more luck than anything.

The poll gives 3 options, brunette, blonde, and bald, nearly 1 in 10 preferred bald over brunette and blonde, which is nearly the same as those who liked the blonde look. I'm trying to get my head around how you took this from a very straightforward poll, even if bald was at 1% and blonde was still 10%, what you just wrote still wouldn't make any sense because brunette's still in the mix, meaning it's still not conclusive as lots of brunette votes could have voted for either blonde or bald if they had to choose one or the other. I don't know why I'm trying to explain that, if you didn't understand how the poll works there's no chance you'll understand what I just wrote.

But basically if you're referring to how bad he in particular looks blonde, there's still the option of brunette, and 1 in 10 women picked bald over his normal look. That's the point (which shouldn't need explaining). I mean he looks like crap blonde, but blonde still beat bald, is that still not good enough for you? Even as **** as he looks blonde, bald is still (marginally) worse, and you still need to beat down any sliver of hope for bald guys?

You said in the other thread that you try to be a positive influence on plenty of guys on here, all I've seen so far are childish, repetitive jokes about CONFIDENCE, and other posts such as the one I've just quoted where you refute basic maths just to put bald guys down, it's masochism.

I mean fair enough if you want to question how valid this poll is, I did myself- it could be down to how bad Levine looks as a platinum blonde; it could be 1/10th of women jumping on the recent news story that he's gone bald; it could be that women love that he did it for charity. You see those would be some decent reasons to question it, instead you went out of your way to create a reason that simply doesn't exist and makes no sense, all in the name of putting your negative slant on something that's technically positive.

Blond is way better off than grey, I know tons of people who go crazy for good blond hair.

Good blonde hair, but Levine's platinum look was flat out evil and scary looking. Jared Leto looks like someone even women want to punch:

Looks like a ****ing baby ferret.

There's only one guy I can think of who looked just about OK with it:

But that's partly because he was a badass. It still looks like dried instant noodles.

Is that picture going to be your only contribution to the debate from now on?

It's the standard picture used when people have no argument and don't even have the strength to use an ad hominem.

Evilness measured based on hair color/status:

1. Bald
2. Blond
3. Grey
...
Last position: dark hair.

I think some people have a strange hate towards males with red hair, even worse than for bald people. But yeah, as a blonde dude myself I've heard girls saying they like dark hair more. Dark hair is pretty much the most favorable seen hair color for dudes, I have no idea why. I'm starting to think girls are much more shallow than I previously thought, I don't remember my friends saying they have weird preferences like hair color, height, body type and so on.

Also, not trying to look on the bright side but keep in mind that women have "types" and the ones that go for the Maroon 5 crew don't have the same preferences as all other women. Again, I'm not saying that baldness is a look that women go for often but it happens.

I didn't see this on first reading of the thread, but that's a very good point. Maroon 5 are hardly a credible band, a lot of their more loyal fans would be closer to the teen One Direction market or girls who watch The Voice (not saying there aren't tons of women generally who would get wet over Levine, but I doubt they chase up the internet about him) so for the girls who are young and like the young, thick haired "cute" look, what Levine has done is like a tragedy.

I'm not at all implying that most women of any age group will prefer bald men, but in their mid-20's through to 30's onwards they at least start to consider it more (and at the very least, this is no doubt because they start to lower their princess standards) but the percentage of woman in older age groups will start to appreciate bald guys more or at least consider them. Also 90% of younger girls (from my fading memory) are stubbornly unwilling to compromise when it comes to looks, he has to be cute and have great styled hair or else they won't find them hot, or even just as importantly, their friends will judge a girl who dates an "ugly" guy, it's all they care about up to a certain age.

As they get older they meet balding guys their age and start to get used to the idea that it happens, and in other ways he can make up for it.

I just realised reading over this again, the guy I quoted saying "not trying to look on the bright side" and my post, which is completely cautious and guarded, we're all so aware of actually trying to look at any positives in terms of balding because of the people ready to shoot us down. We have to constantly remind everyone, as if it isn't already obvious, that we all know bald guys are lower down on the attractiveness scale, that we're totally afraid of saying anything remotely balanced that may seem in any way positive towards baldness. And this is a forum about supporting bald guys.

That's ****ed up.

The saying always goes, women go for "tall, dark, and handsome". I thought dark meant dark skin but it meant dark hair.

to be fair i've heard lots of guys mentioning hair color and body type and stuff. like a guy says he likes thick girls, or black hair latinas, blonde white girls, whatever. thats both guys and girls who say that

Adam Levine actually looks good bald compared to most men. Looks like women are more repulsed by baldness than I thought.

- - - Updated - - -

Oh yes I forgot about red hair.

Women are insanely picky even about the most trivial features.

Men are much, much more forgiving.

Legit. If a woman has small tits or small *** that's perfectly OK. If a guy is short, then he is ****ed. The funny thing is that big tits excite a guy a lot more than height excites a girl. Men have preferences, women have deal breakers.

I'm from a more homogenous country, almost only white people so maybe that's why. But even if a guy prefers something, it's not a deal breaker like it is for women as Norwood said. I have a slight preference for blonde girls but my girlfriend has dark hair and I never even though of her hair color when we met.

If you look online you will get people dissing women with small boobs and *** the same way you do short people, but they are not "****ed", there is nothing wrong with them, like you said people have preferences.

Short men are f*cked. This is 2015. If you're 165 cm, good luck finding a girl who's interested.

While men don't give two sh*ts about small boobs. As I've said, we're much more forgiving.

Women compare settling for a short guy to a death sentence: "But what if I wear heels?!"

Oh that must be so horrible sweetheart, the end of the world!

I was talking to this girl who is 178 cm tall. She said she wanted a guy she could wear heels with.

And I was like: "Do you realize it eliminates 90% of the men out there?" "Yes, but come on, I can't date a guy who is shorter than me."

She's been single for years. A girl who went to school with my girlfriend is taller than me (I'm 190 cm). She never had a boyfriend at all.

Women would rather stay forever alone than settling for the absolute best she thinks she deserve.

That kind of social enforcement basically encourages misandry where men aren't allowed to have 'standards' but something petty like being too tall is taken like a serious issue. Society in 2015 really is pathetic... what annoys me though is that when I mention many, some or one example of such ridiculous social standards for being such, my friends tell me I'M THE NEGATIVE ONE.

I never EVER mention hair loss to any of them, but if I did, they'd quickly deny the 'shame' of being bald and say its all in my head... only to have these same hypocrites go out and ridicule men with hair loss anyway.

No, it's not in my head and the problem isn't me with hair loss... it's society's problem with ME having hair loss. It's not respected, but people will NEVER admit that.

Short men are not ****ed, and preferences i meant with women with small boobs etc, you said yourself most are short so that means there is many single peeps out there, you get haters its common sense here, i watch wrestling and there was a woman who has now retired, who was liked by many but so many guy dissed her (i fancied her), saying the things you could imagine, and why is it you lot (the people who are tall here) can say things about being short when you are not, yet when a guy with hair cant about being bald? you know cause they are not bald etc etc, isnt you giving examples about short people no different then a guy with hair giving examples about lets say his bald friend?
