Take it with a digestive enzymes supplement. I take that along with probiotics as I take in large amounts of protein. The digestive enzymes really help breakdown foods and help absorption of supplements. Only if you are really concerned about absorption and bioavailability...

We don't need to add additional variables into the mix. The safest way would be as was done in previously published clinical trials. Otherwise if it works for some people we then have to start backtracking with questions like "did you take the capsule apart and add it to a drink, or not?", "did you take it with digestive enzymes, or not?", or worse: "were you taking finasteride, or not?"

Keep it simple, and rule things out in a controlled fashion.

How many MG's helios? And you havent washed your hair in 4 days? Or its been 4 days on seti and washing your hair makes it less greasy? It could be that SETI is decreasing sebum levels?

Am on seti at +/-170mg for 9days straight. Haven't washed my hair since 4 days ago. And as far as I recall by now my hair should be greasy, but it's not. Could be coincidence though, wait and see i guess.

What's the science behind this drug, in Laymans terms? Isnt taking a pill for hairloss kind of risky in terms of side effects?

It blocks PGD2.

All men with baldness have very high levels of PGD2.

That is really odd. After a day my hair gets really greasy, after 2 days no wash its a ball of grease. You should start a log with baseline pics. I am going to try when I get my seti

Hellouser, talking about your health.. Do you check your self a the doctor every month when you using Seti? Or do you know that this is very safe? I dont know what the risks are when using it. Have you taught about it before using it? I wanna use this also but the only thing that stops me is the risks. Can you help me with this ?Thanks :innocent:
Also i have posted at the Dutch hairloss community about this. I try to arrange also there a groupbuy.
The most are not confessed that this safe or this is the real product.

It's been approved for safety by the FDA. Think the highest participants took was 1g daily, so taking 200mg should be be fine.

I really do hope it works out, but i have my doubts because we just didnt hear much about its effects on hair during the other trials.
If it was a great drug, i think there would have been more hype about it, coming from those other trials.

Well, based on Kythera's March presentation (http://files.shareholder.com/downlo...6-9D97-631C0F6B7C97/KYTH-105_setipiprant_.pdf) Seti has been tested numerous times without adverse effects. The presentation shows that there was only 1 incidence of a serious side effect. All in all, that would point to the fact that this should be pretty safe to use - providing that the compound has been mapped correctly (which presumably is the case).Talking of group buys, is the current one still open? And also, will there be another one any time soon? I would be interested in getting this and then would plan to use around 200mg orally as I would like to replicate the fact they intend it as a "tablet" and would not want the associated hassle of making a topical.

Well, based on Kythera's presentation material in March 2015 (can be found on their website) the safety profile of Seti has been proven across numerous studies and there have been very few side effects - and even then, only one severe side effect was noted down during studies. Therefore, that should not be a cause for concern and given that the Seti goes through testing it should all be fine - providing the actual make-up of the drug has been mapped correctly. In terms of obtaining some, is there going to be another Seti group buy soon? I would be interested in trying to get some and then just taking 200mg orally - partly as I would like to replicate what is intended with the drug, and also because I would not want to go through the process of making a topical.

I don't think anyone should be too worried about the safety profile of Seti. It certainly seems safer than finasteride/dutasteride or any anti-androgens we're currently using. It's been through something like 8 human trials already for asthma at doses of 500mg-1000mg day with negligible adverse effects. The real question is the efficacy. Nobody really knows how much it will help our hair. Also although the company plan to release it as an oral, it seems the most efficient method would be topical because around 50% of the Seti is excreted, meaning half the Seti you take orally will be essentially wasted.

Hopefully this won't be much of an issue if/when it becomes available and affordable because people can just take higher doses, but for now, given the expense and difficulty obtaining it, it looks like you will get more bang for your buck with the topical route.

Theres a group buy happening right now. 25g for $340.

Granted, there will be some wastage by going down the oral route, however, it will be easier to take that way for me than to try and apply topically. The £ to US $ exchange rate also means that this is slightly more favorable for me given my location - although naturally it could be cheaper it wouldn't be that much more expensive than an equivalent supply of Regaine.-----------------------------------------------------------Hellouser, until when will this group buy be open? Also, does that include delivery and how long would I have to wait? And if I was unable to sort it out this time, do you know when the next group buy would be running? (Thanks a lot for your help in advance).
