So today my roommate said I looked rather ill

Haha if you weren't already married (or are you?) I could totally see a hook up between you two *wink wink* ;)

I'm married, but there's no harm in flirting.

Actually, I.D would be out of my league. Intellectually he's on a much higher level than I am (I can old my own but only for so long). If circumstances were different, he could easily charm his way into my life. I'm no oil painting and doubt I would run from I.D. I'm drawn to how I feel when I'm around a guy. I do admit, though, extremely overweight would be a turnoff.

EvilLocks, try to look past the current state of your hair when you look in the mirror and focus on that "10" face. Buy yourself a wig you really like (if you can afford it) and "practice" wearing it around the house. It may be years from now that you'll need it--or maybe never--but wearing it from time to time may help you come to terms with things slowly.

I have been super busy these last few days...I am pledging for a pre health fraternity and I have multiple exams in the next week...I will try to remember to post pictures taken throughout the day within the next couple days or so...Sorry I just forgot to take them I am just super stressed out right now

Good luck with your exams and pledge, dusty. My son's been cramming for exams too and dealing with hair loss like you.

Agree with Joan's advice about adapting to a wig, if it is ever needed. Since you're a girl and pretty, a relationship should be no barrier. It's probably a more mental thing or a particular type of person you want. Identity crisis maybe too.

Flirting keeps the passion alive :) ID is very intellectual.

Yes I use Toppik.

And I agree, nothing more special than being with the right person. I just hope I find him someday, despite my horrible hair... You are lucky to be in a relationship, I really miss that.

Better to find that special person (which I am confident you will) after you have accepted your hair loss than relying on one person to make you feel beautiful in spite of it.

Well I think you are gorgeous Joan, and you look nowhere near your age. I would say you look about 40.

Thanks for your advice. I'll think about it :)

Thank you, EvilLocks. I'll take 40 over 52 any day of the week!

Seriously, though, you weren't exaggerating about your looks. I can see why you've been told you're beautiful--because you are.

I'm not completely sure I would say I'm a low Norwood...my hair is diffuse thinning in a NW6 pattern and much of my hair is gone. I may have at the most a fifth of the density I had 4 years ago on my entire head.

i just checked the pics from the other thread man, i can see the aggressiveness of the hair loss, kinda like me man. i lost my hair in norwood 6 at just 17-18 years old.

i see you are on dutasteride. good idea for being on antiandrogen. about the minoxidil giving you irritation, have you tried scalp foam?

i couldnt do liquid minoxidil cuz of irritation but foam was fine. its designed to be less irritating

but you are already on the big 3, stay on them faithfully and u should at least have maintenance for a while.

anyways, even with the diffusion you have, the texture of your hair makes it look better than it is. its like you have thick hair strands or something, greatly lessens the appearance of thinning. from just the pics in this thread, your hair almost looked full.

for me, i had the opposite, with ligher skin, dark and fine hair, a little diffusion went a long way

I use liquid minoxidil every night now...the irritation isn't unbearable so I am going to stick with it

If hair is bringing you down so much, you should consider buzzing it and getting yourself in the gym!

All the best

Best advice I have heard around here in a while. Tried to give you some positive rep, but there is something wrong with this rep system. Although I say, don't just buzz it down, take it down with a razor.

That's not the best advice. He forgot to mention, take steroids.
