It's indeed not AIDS, at least with AIDS, your appearance remains normal and you can still live a normal life.

AIDS breaks down muscle tissue, and gradually destroys the body over time. HIV people loose a lot of muscle over time, it's known as muscle wasting syndrome. That's why they are prescribed HGH, and low doses of anabolics to prevent HIV-related muscle breaking effects.

In a way HIV patients, and male pattern baldness sufferers can relate. Both have a deteriorating disease

Also, apparently neither can get laid without lying about their condition.

Ive said the title of this post numerous times. The actual stats of how many men lose their hair is GREATLY skewed.

I realize that some poeple may have compounding "issues" such as being overweight, shy, unattractive by conventional standards, etc, but really? You can't get laid if you are bald? I call bull****. I'm 28, been losing my hair in some sense since I was probably 20 (first time the barber showed me my thinning crown), and have gone through all the emotions, but fellas! SACK UP! I know I'm new to the board but sitting around in a dark room talking to your glass of cheap whiskey about how much your life sucks is not going to make you feel any better. We all know women love confidence; in fact everybody is drawn to it. You gotta find a way to lift yourself up.

Most people get laid including homosexuals, of which are the biggest contributors to HIV related diseases being transmitted through a*** sex.The chance of getting an HIV through vaginal intercourse with a women is extremely slim, and most HIV related diseases are passed from men.

Even ***gots get laid while baldites have their c*** in one hand, and a mouse in the other with twenty different tabs open.

Women love:

1) Looks
2) Money
3) Status

Confidence is a by-product of one of those three things. Please don't spread lies. Women have no interest in sleeping, dating or marrying men that lack those three items.

All three of those things are changeable to a degree. One thing is for certain and that is feeling sorry for yourself won't help one bit. If you are stuck in front of a screen with a bottle of Jergins, then get off the internet and chase real chicks. Lord knows I've delved deep in to the world of interwebs pron, but one thing is for certain (at least for me) the amount of pron watched and the amount of real women I spend time with are inversely correlated.

Chasing girls your own age as a young nw5 bald man is an excersize in frustration and futility. Unless your a glutten for punishment who enjoys being actively shunned and ridiculed then you will soon realize it's not worth the humiliation. Let's see how your cofidence holds when you can barely look at yourself in the mirror being made fun of everyday by random people. Talk to me when your actually bald because all your hair is clouding your judgement.

Um, I'm pretty damn bald. Really bald in fact. Especially since I got off Rogaine. Now that I'm closer to 30 it bothers me less, but losing it at 22/23 was certainly crushing. I just buzz it down to a 1 or two and be done with it. On the Big 3 for a couple months now to see what I can get back.

Why did you get off rogaine???

You kow, I'm not totally sure. I had been on it for about a year, had definitely seen some regrowth, but wasn't anything spectacular. I had just broken up with my girlfriend, and summer was coming, so I just started buzzing it real short.

I heard a stat recently that most people make a change to their appearance shortly after a breakup, and I don't think I was doing this conciously (buzzing my hair), but it's interesting looking back. I think I was just over still having clearly thinning hair even when I was on the Rogaine, so I just said f**k it and started buzzing it. A friend even told me "hey, you can't even really tell you're balding when you buzz it."

Of course, with hair that short, you can't really see it shedding, but shed it certainly did. Fast Forward another 6 months or so, and one of my customers who is a doctor starts telling me all about finasteride, and how he had been on it for 15 years, and how safe it really can be (and is, for the majority of people). So here we are, giving it my best shot. I should have started finasteride years ago, and I could have probably reverted all the way back to a full head of hair, but now I'm pretty much a full NW6 pattern, except that I still have hair all over the top of my head, just not thick at all. Basically all my hopes are pinned on getting back what I originally gained on the Rogaine, and being a great responder to finasteride.

did you noyice changes in scalp greassiness when buzzing hair short?

Nope, never really had any sides from Rogaine--maybe some dark circles under the eyes, but that could also be attributed to an overall lack of sleep. And the place I was living at the time had old single-pane windows and was across the street from a bus stop and a rowdy bar, so I was often woken up during the night. And I stay up too late.

Just look at this. Ethan Hawke and Ellar Coltrane from the movie Boyhood (Hawke plays Coltrane's father). It's a great movie which I recommend. But Hawke is 24 years older than Coltrane, and has much better hair and hairline. Coltrane obviously has temple recession and is trying to hide it. This sucks but shows how a lot of men don't go bald, and a lot of men lose it early. hawke-coltrane-24th-annual-gotham-independent-film-awards-01.jpg

That was a great movie. Ethan Hawke looked pretty much the same for over a decade due to his strong hair. Lucky motherfcker

coltrane is only covering one side of his hairline so i dont see how he is trying to hid his recession

i still think he looks good with that recession. theres a small chance it cud be his hairline naturally tho, ive seen guys with high *** hairlines who werent going bald

Confidence is a byproduct.

Just like having sex with a women reinforces value, and worth, in return confidence is derived.

So when you don't have hair or get laid, and have real life experience... Where's this 'confidence' derived from. It's just a delusional mind set.

Nothing
