I was just on facebook and thinking about the other guys who are nerdy like me and into computers and stuff. Of course they all have hair.

These are the same guys I would be in competition with for jobs and girlfriends, since we are similar. I feel its kind of pointless trying to compete with them for girls though. Why would a girl choose me when she can choose another guy like me who doesnt look like Tony Soprano?

I guess at least for a job I have more of a chance . . . . .

God ****ing damn this makes me feel so ****ing ****ty and ****ing inferior. This stupid ****ing rat race is pointless. I want to break down but baldness even ruins that. Not only are you bald now, but you are also a pussy.

Channel it something into positive. Instead of being like a 23 year old, act and relate to 33 year olds, and use it to advance in a career.

Nerds, especially computer nerds are typically socially inept. Hair aint gonna save you.

Glasses aren't going to deter you from swimming in a sea of pussy. I have glasses. Had them since 2nd year of high school. I've never felt inferior with them.

Try a hair system dude. At your Norwood level what have you got to lose?

Oh, not much to lose, just his dignity... nothing that important.

That don't matter. It's not even about masculine interests. My interests range from 'geeky' to supposed 'alpha.' Yet I will get attention from some 'cool' girls. Some of my friends get it regularly, I'm not talking attraction as such, just that they see you as on the same level socially. It comes down to your face (usually hair) and body language. Some people fit some don't. But by dressing a certain way, being lean, positive body language all helps. Don't limit yourself to a fixed type of girl, doesn't work that way. Also you learn more the wider type of friends you have.

One of my closest friends has a 'hot girlfriend' and yet the dude tinkers with computer builds, GPUs, has spent thousands of hours on a variety of number of games. Reason for hot girlfriend? He's a good looking guy. He doesn't see it this way, he thinks its all confidence, but I as well as you all here on HairLossTalk.com know better than this.

Take my interests for example;

- Tech News
- Basketball (playing and NBA)
- Photography (do it professionally and hobby street photography)
- Design
- Travelling (unlike some, I actually travel)
- Airsoft (like paintball, but without paint)
- Movie Buff

Doesn't matter how interesting I am... if I'm not 'hot' I'm just another useless balding shitheel.

I feel for you exodus. I wish that baldness wasn't possible before the age of 50 at least, if it has to exist at all. It seems completely pointless that your youth, which is supposed to be the time of your life, is wasted due to baldness. I only hate one thing in this world, and that is male pattern baldness/FPB.

How is looking like a grandpa in your early 20's something positive?

One would assume that someone suffering from hairloss wouldn't make such an ignorant comment.

There are LOTs of dudes in 30s suffering from hairloss, many becoming NW6 by 40. Hardly grandpa age.

I didn't say that men in their 30's look like grandpas, I just meant that the slick bald look will make you look a lot older than your age, which is true.

Doesnt matter what you look like when bald. Baldness = social rejection.

No, baldness only means romantic rejection.
Ugly dudes are not necessarily socially rejected.

Tell that to guys who get overlooked at job interviews.

Not trying to offend anybody, but as far as nerds getting chicks, I would say even if they do get girls they are usually average at best. From what I have seen, nerds will settle for whatever they can get. I am sure the girls they get are pretty much in the same boat and settle for the same thing. Being bald will not help you get chicks, but I highly doubt you will be fantasizing about any nerds' girlfriend.

As many have stated before, nothing trumps looks. So all the crap you see in TV or movies about the nerd getting a great job and landing a hot wife is just that crap. It can happen, but rarely does. Most likely we will end up with our equal, at least in the looks department.

Nerds or not, most people "settle" with an "average chick", and vice versa. But I hate to say "settle" because nerd or not, most people, by definition, are average. Just because someone's with someone else that's "average" doesn't mean they've "settled", as if you're settling if you didn't land that 10/10 supermodel. Walk around a busy street and you'll see just how many people are less than attractive (at least by the absurd standard that some of you guys seem to have). Spencer always talks about how the hotter the woman, the more messed up she is in the head, and I 100% agree based on personal experience. I've never dated a "10/10" or whatever, but I have girl friends who easily have model good looks, and some of the crap they talk about... They were always extremely insecure, constantly talked crap about other women, they were usually so high maintenance to the point that it was practically their boyfriend's jobs to keep them happy. What sane guy wants to deal with that kind of crap other than to brag about how hot their girlfriend is? I don't get the obsession landing hot women.

Actually, I've never wanted or really been attracted to the '10/10 model type'. I find them 'too hot'... in the sense that, they're not even human. To me, they're just fraud women created by the media for people to buy a fvcking idea and ultimately, a product. I've always liked the more 'REGULAR' women... I get flack for this too from some of my friends. Someone asked me, who's youre type? And I answered America Ferrera. His response; Really? Ugly Betty? That's terrible, I was expecting something like Meghan Fox.'

Yesterday day I was at the bank getting a check to pay for my condo fees and the girl helping me out at the counter was just another 'random face' but to me, she was/is really beautiful and would go for her in a heartbeat. Shes not a 10/10 in the yes of damn near all people, but I dont care for people's opinion or their fvcking validation of MY preferences. Ah well, now I know where to do my banking :)

I'm the same way. I'm pretty numb to model-level girls but the girls I've been crazy about appearance-wise would be considered "average", or less than average. I guess my point with my rant is that too many people on here complain about how "shallow" women are. But the same guys are pining for the hottest model-looking women out there without giving a second thought to an "average" woman, as if being with an average woman is such a horrible thing. I think that's a huge double standard that's also created by the media and social networking. The coolest and most down-to-earth people out there are the ones that aren't hyper-obsessed with their appearance.
