I took some new pictures this week end and feel like I can now say I've
archived success. KSR is basically the big three plus a few things.

My hair it so much better now and even if I don't improve from here
I'm totally happy. My front hairline is just starting to come around as you
can see in the closeups. If I can get those those tiny hairs to thicken
I'll be one happy dude.

Here is the starting point 10/2007:

Here it is on 03/09/008:

Here is my crown that was totally bald almost four months ago:

Currently:

1.25 finasteride daily (1/4 of a 5mg Proscar)
3ml mixox twice daily (1.5 front, 1.5 back)
minoxidil has 4 100mg spironolactone tablets added to each 60ml bottle (.15% solution?)
(note in a previous post I said this was proscar which was incorrect)
.05 retin-a cream rubbed in nightly (3 pea size globs)
Tricomin twice a day
1% hydrocortisone nightly
2% Nizoral daily on a dry scalp, leaving about 5 minutes (started this about 2 weeks ago,
was 1% before I started 2%)
5 minute nightly scalp massage before topical's
Daily vitamins: 1 1000mg Salmon oil, 2 GNC MegaMen vitamins,
2 250mg l-carnitine, 2 1000mg vit-C and 2 250mg alpha-lipoic-acid daily.

Thanks Jack!

The nizoral does seem to make my hair very stiff but since it is short it does
not bother me. The biggest problem was my scalp but the Tricomin really
helped that. I will back off the nizoral after a few months and see what the
results are. Right now I'm not sure if it's the finasteride or nizoral or minoxidil but
my hair is growing as fast as it did when I was a teen.

This are pictures from yesterday, day 140 of my treatments. This is before a
haircut. The last pictures were from Day 110 and I had just used a #2 guard
on the clippers. It's grown at least two and maybe three centimeters in the past
thirty days. I think that is about two to three times the normal rate. In real life
you do not see as much scalp as you see in these pictures.

The crown:

This is the hairline on the right side, many of the smaller vellus hairs have turned dark and
and are growing.

The next two pictures are a closeup of the thinest parts of the crown.

This is the hairline, it seems to be getting a LOT better but has a long way to go.

All in all to go from slick crown to this in a little over 4 months is terrific and much more than
I expected. I still will need a hair transplant (or something better).

I'll update again in 30 days if anyone is interested.

WOW. TONS of regrowth all over! Congrats.

Where do u use retin-a, in one area or all over? Brand or generic? I'm thinking of adding it in after 1 year on minoxidil.

Do you buy all your drugs from a legit pharmacy or online, cuz I know drugs like retin-a and spironolactone don't come cheap in real pharmacies. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thanks man, it's pretty amazing stuff. I was looking for hair transplant info
when I found this site, now I think all I will need is the front part
filled in with a transplant.

I order the proscar, retin-a and nizoral 2% from inhousepharmacy.com.

I use about a pea size amount on the frontal areas and about a pea
size amount on the crown. I started with retin-a and ran out and now I'm using
rentin-A micro. I think it is supposed to be absorbed better but I've not
done much research.

HOW DO YOU CUT PROSCAR IN 4 (other people cut it in 5! how??) , you never know you cut equal parts, any disorder in dosage I think its not good .

I think cutting into 5 would be hard but 4 takes about 5 seconds with a pill cutter.

finasteride stays in your blood about 14 days if you stop taking it so the minor day-to-day variance's
are no big deal.

Wow, your regime must be expensive though... I guess somewhere in there you've kindof covered all the angles... It'd be interesting to experiment and take certain things out for a month or so to evaluate its effectiveness.

I've not calculated the cost but I know it's cheaper than a hair transplant :)

I'll leave the experimenting to others as long as this is working.... I'm not
going to change anything.
