I don't know why but there seems to be some unsaid law that if you're bald then you must wear a goatee. Personally I don't like them on myself. They seem to work better on fat guys or dudes with thick necks.

I just think it goes well with the shaved head. A full on beard and a shaved or bald head makes a guy look like a pervert or a lumberjack. A goatee can work depending on the type of goatee. If it's like that guy Neil Strauss where it doesn't connect, then he looks like a gangbanger. But like Ed Norton in American History X looked good, that guy Tm McManus from Oz (the HBO show) looked just fine with the goatee and shaved/bald head.

This is the Tim guy :

Different things look good on different people. I guess you just have to take other factors into account like their skin color, the shape of their face and stuff like that. I like the full beard but trimmed short on me because it helps define my jawline and helps me look more masculine. But sure, that Tim guy looks good like that.

An extra small goatee makes your jaw stronger and looks good. I can't afford to grow myself one yet, but when I'm bald one day, this is a sure thing.

I used to like goatees. I used to have long/longish hair with a goatee. Then I tried the stripe like the French footballer Pires. I had the stripe for at least a year maybe 2.

The thing is, when I walk down the street I see no one with a goatee or a stripe these days. So I don't feel comfortable wearing one. Besides, most girls don't like it.

Well I spoke to this hot chick/friend about hair and it's importance. At first she tried to be nice because she noticed that I was thinning but after a while she opened up. According to her (an educated , working professional in late 20s) hair is very imprtant initially for attraction, but in the long term confidence, personality, wealth, stability, etc become more important. She also said that most girls she knew preferred men WITH hair, not just with hair but men with their preferred hair color and hair style!

Also she thought it was a lie that many girls PREFER men who are shaved slick. She said only slutty, tomboy, bad girl type women would prefer guys who are totally bald.

Anyways thought I'd share.....
She sounds like a high maintenance skank whose dad told her no boy is good enough for her and whose mom told her to only marry rich prince charming types. Either way it's only one pigeon's POV, she doesn't represent the rest of the female populous. Not sure what type of girl you're looking for, but why would you want a chick that is only sticking round for the material sh*t in your life and not what's really important? Looks fade. Even little miss perfect you spoke with will one day look like a shriveled up leather purse. Money and stuff is nice to have, but having a partner who is into you and loves you unconditionally is far better than driving some soulless, blond haired, fake tit, vacuum throat sl*t around in a convertible whatever car 2 or 3 nights a week hoping she feels like giving you some that night after you bought her 500 dollar dinner and gave her a gold anything she fancies.

I talk about boy-girl relationships with one of my female cousins, obviously she's like my sister so we don't talk about sex. I was showing her a picture of one of my friends and asked her if I should introduce them. The first thing she said was "I don't like blonds". So, yes, they have a colour preference when it comes to hair.

my problem is that i look like a thug if i buzz my hair and i work in an environment where i need to look smart etc..

if it was down to me, i would shave it all off.... its so stressing sometimes...]

oh and i am defo more confident with a buzz cut or when i had a full head of hair but i need to walk about with a thinning head of hair cause of work.... its so stressful....

oh and by the way i think all/most women will defo look at a mans hair when they initially meet but once you bond then it does not really matter to a woman if you are bald or not....

basically if you are single and balding then shave/buzz it all off....

when i had a full head of hair, i had no problem with getting women... but when i started balding and thinning, my confident was so low that i couldnt even look anyone in the eye... when i buzzed my hair, alot of my confidence was restored and getting women was not a problem anymore...

anyway i have a girlfriend so i dont really care about what other women think of me or my hair...

Statistically, how many women have bald men and how many men are actually bald?

A quick google search gives me the following graphs http://www.baldingblog.com/2007/11/09/h ... n-go-bald/

The first graph is for NW3 and higher. A person is NW3 when he has a visually significant male pattern baldness. So, NW2 doesn't count. The graph shows that by the age of 47, 50% of all man are visually significant bald.

If we take NW2 into account, more than half of all man probably have a degree of male pattern baldness in their 30s.

Statistics are on our side...

Statistics don't mean crap when an attractive woman (or anyone else for that matter) is laughing at you because of your bald head.
