With microneedling, I guess I would want to avoid doing it right before topical finasteride. application, but with CB, it wouldn't be bad. I'm thinking microneedling 1x / week, then not applying anything for 24 hrs, then applying CB, and then topical finasteride. 36 hrs later. Any better suggestions?

Any suggestions on how/when to use finasteride and CB topically to optimize results? I am thinking 1 application of finasteride in the morning, and 1 application of 100mg (5%) CB at night. Would applying 100mg of CB (5%) all at once each day give me less results than applying 50mg (5%) twice each day?

I also have SMP done, and alcohol & PG would likely fade that a bit. Are alcohol & PG absolute musts to be used as solvents for CB to be effective, or is there another way to make it while avoiding the ethanol/alcohol content?

I'm assuming Stemoxydine includes alcohol/ethanol & PG? I had to quit minoxidil due to sides (dark circles, bad skin/collagen), do you know if Stemoxydine has the same mechanism and potentially same side effects as minoxidil, or is it side effect free?

The active ingredient of minoxidil is what causes skin aging effects. It's not present in stemox.

Kane also sells this solution, but it seems it has no PG. Would this work just as well as the Stemoxydine as a solvent?

Probably.

Alcohol is the best penetration enhancer from what I understand, but I am sure there are other things that assist penetration - not sure what they would be though.

Wouldn't microneedling fade that as much as alcohol though anyway?

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, the peeling of the skin could have the same affect.

Are you guys using Transcutol as a solvent? It was used in the trials as one of the three main vehicle ingredients, but I don't know where you can obtain the stuff or what its function is exactly (beyond ethanol's).

Any ideas? I'd like to replicate the official formulation as closely as possible, but the fact that many users here seem to be forgoing this ingredient makes me think it's possibly pretty difficult to obtain.

I’m using Stemoxydine mixed in with CB. I only mix for one application. CB dissolves quite instantly with Stemoxydine/Serioxyl.

you switched topical fina (as in your bio) for topical cb or your taking both ?

used earlier eth/pg/transcutol, now eth/pg only. same effect

i would no recom minoxidil as vehicle. cb is just too expensive to accept a reduced penetration

No i still use topical finasteride but i did ditch min for stem for now
How are you combining microneedling with topical finasteride. & CB? Do you wait 24hrs? Are you seeing it go more systemic the application after you needle?
