How are you combining microneedling with topical finasteride. & CB? Do you wait 24hrs? Are you seeing it go more systemic the application after you needle?
I don't mix finasteride and cb together in one topical...separate mix and separate application. i only lightly dermastamp cb...no need for it to go systematically as its an androgen receptor antagonist...focus on the follicles/scalp which i wanted to target that by stamping. i don't stamp with finasteride as i don't want sides by finasteride going systematic.

Okay! Update time.

I shared earlier in the thread how things had gotten significantly worse. Not much has changed.

To give a brief review. I purchased my CB from Kane which through their testing was 98.5% purity. I did not test my batch as it's not really apparent how I would go about doing this easily in my city. However others have and have found similar results to what Kane has stated online.

I used about 2.67% once daily in the mornings covering my whole scalp for a period of 8 weeks. Following this I began to do nightly treatments about 4x a week that focused on my worst areas (temples and crown). That took me to about 11 weeks. Since then I have been applying roughly 3.5% once in the mornings, and 5x a week in the evenings as well.

The only other treatments I'm on are Minoxidil, which I was previously using about twice a day - although I would usually miss applications on friday and saturday nights. I have been on minoxidil for three years now. In my current regimen I now use minoxidil once a day. I use it at night, and I put it on before the CB. I also apply keto shampoo 2x/week. Again, neither of these things are new.

I used a 15ml Vehicle that gets me through about 5-6 days. I use 6ml of Transcutol, 6ml of 100% ethanol, and 3ml of PG.

Attached are two key angles. I do have more photos but they're not much different, you kind of get the jist from these photos. The one caveat is that the new photos are my hair with the application already in, so it does look slightly worse than after being washed and dried. That being said, it's still pretty obvious that the temple hairline has moved back, and that I've lost even more density. They are under identical lighting, at similar (not perfect) angles.

At this point I'm going to order another 10g batch from Wuhan. I'll continue my treatment at least 6 months. At that point I'll post another update. All I'm hoping for now is that this was a significant shed and that it will all regrow over the next 3-4 months. I'm doubtful of that however.

Beyond that, I'm guarding down to #0-1 and I've held off on microneedling because I want to be sure CB actually does anything if I'm going to commit so many finances. If there's no real benefit at 6 months then I'll stop the CB and probably go back to minoxidil 2x daily with microneedling and just keep my head shaved for the rest of my life.

1.Your minoxidil has water, water hydrolyze clascoterone.
2. with your follicles fullfilled of the Minoxidil lotion, how do you know that CB is indeed going inside? I would change this practice as soon as.

I'm aware of this.

CB goes on in the morning without any minoxidil.

In the evening I used minoxidil foam and allow it to dry before placing the CB ontop. Thus the water should mostly be evaporated from the skin. Thus this is not a concern.

Yeah, I get that you're not combining the CB & topical finasteride. My question was more so, if I want to dermaroll / microneedle (1.5mm once a week), is waiting 24-36 hours enough before applying topical finasteride. in order to avoid systemic absorption (as you would want to avoid that, especially with topical finasteride). Guess it depends on how quickly the pores / wounds close up after needling.

Thanks very much for the update, the only user I can find right now who is taking CB and also taking photos so very useful. I would say from your pics that your lighting in the second picture looks a lot brighter which can help reveal the scalp a lot more, I think its very hard to see a tangible shed at all from that but if there has been then I think its a good sign at least its not doing nothing at all, as with all treatments that work their seems to be a shed, lets hope it comes back thicker although maintenance would probably be the thing to look out for most with your hairless as it dose not appear to be advanced

The lighting is identical. I may be closer to it. That being said the recession in the temple seems obvious to me.

I agree on the shedding part. It's usually a sign things are working. I've never really had major sheds in the 9 years I've been experiencing hair loss. Here's to hoping it comes back.

Hey guys! I’m hoping clascoterone 1% for acne will approved by the end of the year. When it comes out I’m going to get it prescribed but apply it to my hairline. Will add it on to apolactoferrin. If I don’t get any results with Apolactoferrin I’ll probably drop it before though.

I initially contacted Wuhan first as Screech and others got it from them. I spoke to two Wuhan's reps via Alibaba and price quotes were all over the place. Also, my price quote was greater than ppl who recently ordered from them...and they were supposed to have a sale in Sept. so instead got price quote from other sellers on Alibaba and neg. that price and went back with Wuhan's rep. but guess they didn't want my business.

Ask the other company on $30/g as I told them I'm a part of a hair loss forum (this one) and would promote them but they didn't budge so it was at $35/g. I'm a skeptic and don't want to mention the name of the company as I'm testing if it works on myself and looking into testing the purity. I asked a local university to test but they declined. If you want to know the company then feel free to pm me.

One thing about your case.
Have you ever tried Finasteride?
And if affirmative, worked?
Maybe you a refractory to the DHT pathway.
Having said that, i would wait, the pictures are not so bad.

They say starting off with any hair loss product to expect an initial shed. Is that true for CB?

I think if anything AAs work better for people who finasteride doesn't work for as honestly I was reading some posts by @ChemHead who seems incredibly intelligent about everything and in layman's terms it is a different mechanism which is responsible for the male pattern baldness for people who respond to finasteride versus AAs, although in saying that the vast majority responds to both.

But I think if you don't respond to finasteride, this is probably a decent chance of working.

Not for me.

It just started falling out less and less after about 2 weeks.
