The Real Reason That Women Freeze Their Eggs

Infuriating excerpt:

Because where does it start? Here you have the women in their 30s, beautiful, confident, independent and hilarious, spending their flat deposit on a single hope, because there is nobody there at night to have a grown-up conversation with about fertility. And here you have the men who learned at school to lose interest in a girl if she texts back too quickly. The thread between the two seems baked in amber, the power imbalance in heterosexual relationships almost integral now to the way we date.

As always, everything a person thinks and says has to be interpreted based on her walk of life.

The woman who wrote this article is not good looking. At all. It does not surprise me that she thinks men lose interest if she texts back too soon.

The grim reality is: men - and women - lose interest if you text back too soon... and they do not think you are good looking.

This picture sums up perfectly the mental frame of these women (and many men)

"I am flawless and I have done nothing wrong! Everyone else out there must be the problem!"

Sorry sweetheart, but there's a 100% chance that your observation is flat wrong.

Really? I thought everyone loved needy pushovers who offer 0 challenge!

Seriously though, it's sad to see these people refusing to take responsibility for their failures.

You know, it is very difficult and painful to rationalize these truths. Especially for women, because they are NOT used to being told they can be ugly. Every woman is a 10 according to her Facebook friends.

Not by chance, these articles blaming on men the failure to communicate are all written by women who do not look good.

Rarely will you read a feminist article by, say, a former model. Let alone an article complaining that men are not available for a relationship and women are compelled to freeze their eggs. If anything, they may need to freeze men's private parts to calm them down.

Excuse me?... What an impudent reverse.

What was the last time you turned down a girl because she texts too quickly?

saw Guardian....surprised it wasn't written by Jessica Valenti, who seems like the most self absorbed person on the planet

Lol. What sane woman doesn't like like whistles and stares? I know I appreciate them, yes, even if they come from 55yr old men. If they grope you against your will it's a different story, but positive validation for your appearance is always nice whether it be a hot 20yr old hunk or a middle aged beta.

Completely human (both men and women want to feel desired) response. But obviously, still patriarchy's fault that she feels bad ...about feeling bad... about being washed up.

I read her book - "Sex Object". Terrible book, terrible person. She was a cokehead, chasing Chad c***, totally incoherent "feminism" as illustrated by the contradiction pictured here. After she finished her drug and sex binges she settles down with the gentleman up thread. Unlike many here I do have some respect for radical feminism but these third wave pop feminists are intellectually bankrupt and a total embarrassment.

This is what happens when reality meets delusion. No matter how many signs this woman gets that she isn't desirable her friends tell her that she's perfect the way she is.
They say:
There's no need to lose weight, or fix any other problems, because you'll find someone who loves you for you, just wait and see!

Meanwhile she rejects her looksmatch Jimmy the chubby NW3 accountant because her friends tell her she can do better.

She wakes up one day and realized that she's 35 and still has no kids or boyfriend. She tries calling Jimmy the man who always wanted to take her to lunch, but he has found a slim gf in Thailand and is the happiest he has ever been.

Her world falls apart and she tries calling her friends, but they wont talk to her because they're "good vibes only 100 100 fire fire".

You said it all brilliantly with this last paragraph.

This is understandable. Quite often we all think that we actually hate some things because we view them as a daily annoyance, but in actual fact, we realise how much we secretly appreciate these things only after they're gone.

Yeah, but there is a time and place for wolf whistles and maybe even a stare.
Though most guys look like complete creepo's with their attempt at a long, sexy, lingering look at some chick.
Men usually fail big time and out comes a "future restraining order" type stare down.
A big turn off for any classy woman.

A wolf whistle here and there, I'm sure is fine, but I'd hate to be a woman trying to deliver an important "point by point" power presentation in a business meeting and all she is met with is creepo stares and low wolf whistles.

Give it some thought.

I've never seen a woman be whistled at during a power point presentation. Where does that happen?

The behaviour of this woman you have just described could be used to describe the lifestyle choices of any young woman from the Western hemisphere, and also western Europe.
I really don't see anything wrong with an attractive woman (or otherwise) embracing this way of living.

It's normal for females to indulge in this lifestyle while they can. Before society totally shits on them once they dare start showing their age.

Heaven forbid a woman actually starts to get wrinkles and saggy skin.
You see, once this happens the woman becomes more or less invisible.
Invisible at best. And an annoyance at worst.

Why would you read that?

The general vibe I get from Valenti's writing is "it's so hard being hot !!!"
