But my original point was about the theory of dht being sent as an inflammatory response to the mishaped galea.. the reason I've used that example and not the tens of others I found was because in that case you have an extreme version of your point but he is not balding. I never said you were talking about an example like this.. I wanted to know why he wasnt bald/balding because he somehow kept his hair! But now I see you're not saying this theory affects the crown region just the recession of temples right? Do you acknowledge the theory of testosterone being the main culprit of recession not DHT? Seems to be up in the air a lot of the time so what's your opinion?
no im talking about recession mainly, Some people with tha galeas im talking about dont thin out in their crown but they have receding hairlines. Idk about that t/dht theory.

So what’s the whole point of the thread? What is the solution? Anti-inflammatory diet, massages, micro needle?

Scalp massages help a lot. They will promote blood flow to hypoxic balding scalp.

Peyton has the classic head shape for baldness, it’s like the top of his forehead grows upward

Yes he does have a bigger galea than 99.99% of people. What you mean by big galea is you mean a low splanchno to neuro ratio. Saying big galea means jack sh*t because we are not talking about absolute size of the head here. However women always have way worse splanchno to neuro ratios then men and have big galeas relative to their face. They have smaller heads than men though. So is it the absolute size of neurocranium or relative? You see galea is a tiny part of the head dimensions. Neurocranium basically makes the part you are discussing. Just saying big galea is so extremely wrong.

No the top of his head is not expanded like balding men. You keep cherry picking replies too. I asked YOU multiple times and quoted you about children with receded hairlines and you chose to reply to me when i was talking to someone else. He does not have a big galea, he has a big skull and a very well strctured brow ridge too and a smooth galea. We are taking into account the size of his skull and compare it to the galea. Obviosuly his smooth galea will be bigger than a balding man with a smaller face but a big galea. Thats common f*****g sense.

His “galea” might look smaller because, oh idk, there’s hair covering it. Fr though he has the biggest weirdest head ever you sir are wild

The fact that retrograde alopecia exists breaks this theory in half. So there's a correlation in patterns, but it's not even provably close to finding causation. I live and study with a lot of East Asians with "big galeas" who never had even a smidge of balding. Asians come with fairly variable head shapes and a good chunk of them are immune to balding. Some not even reaching NW3 in their lives. The whole galea theory also doesn't explain why some people recede to their sideburns and have a smaller horseshoe.

I don't want to be petty and have to take a picture of every Asian I come across just to prove my point. This is genetics in play. Some guys will bald so aggressively that even their donor area is fucked, and that part is below the galea.

My biggest problem with this theory is that there is no solid taxonomy you can point to other than saying “His galea is big and wide” or “He has poor cranial and facial structure.” Maybe the methodology is incomplete, but as an onlooker, I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean. You guys seem to have a taxonomy you agree on, but I just don’t follow or see the distinctions you’re talking about when you post examples.

That said, there is plenty you could point to to say that scalp tension and poor blood flow plays a big part in hair loss. Treatments like microneedling and vasodilators obviously work for a reason.

well put

and other treatments like "gRoW bAnD" don't work for a reason
