I think you have a degree in tabloid politics.

Lol at this argument about degree.

Having degree in fields like politics or philosophy doesn't make you right in them.

You make this all way too personal with individuals.

It's politics. And politics can be rough. And the plight of the Ukraine people is an especially passionate issue for me.

And I'm not the only American who's impassioned about the plight of the Ukrainians. President Obama and VP Biden were seriously thinking about arming the Ukraine military with sophisticated weapons, but Angela Merkel (Germany) discouraged that effort because she was concerned that Russia would get angry if those sophisticated American weapons killed Russian soldiers.

There's strong bipartisan support in both the US Senate and US Congress for supporting the Ukraine military. This is a very hot issue among the politicians. And it's a hot issue for me.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/02/world/us-taking-a-fresh-look-at-arming-kiev-forces.html

http://www.rferl.org/a/us-bipartisan-support-for-arming-ukraine/26896652.html

I would go so far as to say that I want NATO to go into Ukraine and stand in Russia's way to prevent further Russian advance. Russia would not dare shoot at NATO troops.

And this may sound foolish, but it's the honest truth - I care more about the suffering of the Ukraine people than I care about my hair loss. I would give every hair on my head and agree to never get it back if god would empower the Ukraine military to defeat the Russians. I would even agree to start using a capital "g" when I spell god's name if god would just give Ukraine the power to repel Russia.

This is interesting. Why so passionate about the Ukrainian cause, nameless?

Do you have Ukrainian heritage?

I have no Ukrainian heritage.

It's just sad and irritating. Those people have no chance against Russia but they fight anyway. And they die. But they keep fighting.

It's an incredible fight for freedom and it's a very dramatic. It's so dramatic that it might be the only issue that brings almost ALL democrats and almost ALL republicans together in the senate and house. Almost all of them want to arm the Ukraine Army. And they are HOT to do this.

I don't know if you know about spheres of influence but that's what this is all about. Ukraine used to be part of the Soviet Union sphere of influence, which means that Ukraine used to have its' own government but Moscow pulled the strings. The Ukraine government didn't do anything unless Russia said OK.

But Ukraine was freed when the Soviet Union fell. And now free Ukraine wants to join the EU and maybe even NATO. But Putin wants Ukraine to be a Russian vassel again. A vassel is another word for SLAVE.

Fair independent polls indicate that the Ukraine people want to be associated with the EU. IMO the people of any country should get to decide the path their country takes. But Putin is trying to strong-arm Ukraine to accept being a Russian vassel again. Putin is using mercenaries and regular army Russian soldiers to steal large pieces of Ukraine's territory. He has wrecked the entire eastern part of that country. He's turned the entire eastern part of their country into a pile of rubble. And he says that in any deal the EU/NATO will have to agree that they will pay to clean up the mess. What a dog.

These Russian soldiers and mercenaries are killing men, women, and children. A lot of war crime sh*t. They capture Ukraine women and rape them and torture them and beat them. Locking people up and killing them. They're putting up with a lot worse sh*t than we are.

And while there's bipartisan support in the US congress to arm the Ukraine military Trump might shake that up. Trump's sucks up to Putin and there is worry that Trump could agree to give Ukraine to Putin if Putin will give America some things that America wants.

And check out this girl - she's an incredible creature in terms of her character.

http://observer.com/2016/05/freed-ukrainian-pilot-curses-at-putin-and-walks-in-public-fountain/

She was a pilot in the Ukraine military. She was captured by Russia's mercenary goon squad in Ukraine while she was in Ukraine fighting for Ukraine. I'm not just saying this; it IS true. The global media and her defense team publicly displayed the evidence and she was definitely inside Ukraine defending Ukraine against Russia's mercenaries goons. Those Russian goons grabbed her, took her prisoner, and whisked her off to Russia. Russia lied and said that she went into Russia and started attacking Russian citizens. She spent 2 years in a Russian prison.

Anyway, this gal went on a hunger strike and badmouthed Putin/Russia while she was a prisoner. The Russians finally got rid of her because they were tired of her heroic and very vocal argument against Russia. She was a big story while she was a prisoner. Virtually ALL European countries were officially calling for her release while Russia was running her through Russia's Kangaroo Kourt.

The Ukraine people elected her to their congress in absentia while she was a political prisoner in Russia. While she was a prisoner she told the whole Russian government to kiss her *** and Russia couldn't get her to stop it. She even told them all off in open Russian court. I think Russia was glad to work out a deal to set her free and get her out of Russia.

What a gal. If you learn about her you could fall in love with her. And it looks like she has nice boobs too. She wears her hair to short though but that's because she's a soldier maybe. I think she could be kind of cute with long hair but she's a tough one.

So yeah, again, I know what I'm talking about.

Of course you know what you are talking about.
It is your opinion after all, but that's all it is.
An opinion, not some universal truth.

Give it some thought.

And argues with me who lives not far, understands both local languages, spoke with a people from both sides, watched/read tons of content from both sides and sees refugees who run away from ukrainian army shellings on weekly basis by his own eyes.

Total retardation.

Large swaths of the US media portray every conflict as good against evil, which explains nameless' "thinking" on the issue. At any given point, there is a "new Hitler" in the media: Saddam Hussein, Slobodan Milosevic, Col. Ghadaffi, Bashar Assad, and now Vladimir Putin.

What never enters the public debate is the most obvious thing: that these struggles come down to competing national interests.

In the case of Ukraine, Russia wants access to Sevastopol and doesn't want NATO troops and weapons closer to the Russian border. The USA, however, wants access to Sevastopol and wants NATO troops and weapons closer to the Russian border. That's one of the driving considerations here.

There was a simply 97% or so majority of russians in Crimea

And around 70-80% in western "Ukraine".

Ukrainians performed a coup in 2014 not surprisingly that part of their territory who elected overthrowned president went away and took weapons in their hands when army decided to punish them.

War itself is absurd since it is civil war by the fact both sides talk mostly in the same language – russian.

Argument about Sevastopol is legit and it spreaded in local news agencies as well.

Not sure that NATO wanted Sevastopol but Sevastopol was needed to Russia since it is a glory city since WWII and before.

Like Syria, and Georgia 2007, Ukraine is a proxy war between NATO and Russia. They were going at it for twenty years via phoney colour revolutions, a couple years ago it went military.

Civil wars can also be proxy wars, classic example is the Spanish civil war. Hitler was heavily involved, and helped Franco.

NATO wants Sevastopol to prevent Russia from having Sevastopol.

Overall we're in a period of high risk now. It wouldn't be foolish to store canned food, bottled water, gold, and cash.

The funniest thing is that they always give 0 argument to counter what I say.

At least @hairblues tried a little.

The others were like: "Haha, you're wrong because I say so!"

Honestly Fred other than immigration or refugees crisis in Europe you dont make ANY arguments about Right that are appetizing to me

I have said many times if i were in Europe and i was faced with refugee crisis i would totally get it

Where i live? no i dont get it

Are there people here on far left just as cooky as people here on far right? yes but its like apples and oranges

besides that i dont agree with Voodooo trickle down ecconomics--which is what Trump is going to do on steroids

I dont agree with getting rid of EPA or crippling the Department of Educatin

I dont agree with picking a leader of Exxon to be Secretary of State

I dont believe in MORE privatizing of prisons

I dont believe in privatizing of social security or medicare

I dont believe in lower tax rates for the top 1% of the 1%

I mean i can go on and on and on and one

The Wall? i get the idea for Texax and other bored states--but really its not ever going to be an actual wall and Mexico is not ever going to pay for it.

He's lowering taxes on the wealthiest of wealthy YET he wants to do a Billion Dollar wall and a Billion dollar infrastructure

He wants ANOTHER arms race.

He does not care that Japan other countries get or build nuclear weapons.

I mean i can go on and on and on and on

So you keep pointing out from EUROPES perspective when i am not European.

Almost forgot

My biggest hugest gripe with the Right of USA?

The fucked up notion of 'originalism" judges for Supreme Court when dealing with constitution.

I also believe in amending constitution when its necessary I am not this purist like its the bible..and it was created for such things...so this is for me HUGEST issue. And really mainly effects DOMESTIC issues not INTERNATIONAL--so you keep citing international arguments to me an American who is Left for AMERICAN politics.

I am NOT fan of any of the far right supreme court judges rulings on most domestic cases.

I mean seriously? I can go down more to so many topics

Do i agree with some far left? NO I am not a fan of obstructing ANY speech even hate speech but especially NOT comedians or people with opposing views--i know that is happening on campuses

I dont give a f*** about safe=spaces

I dont give a f*** about the far far left aspects of some BLM movement---there is a huge difference between wanting killings by cops investigated and being anti-cop..Im NOT anti cop...(although i grew up with a lot of NYPD--and lets not pretend not plenty of criminals on force over the years--i can literally site cases for you) My biggest gripe is not so much the guys on the force who f*** up--but the police automatic stance to innocence...and they have in the past 'fixed' crime scenes..so they dont have a great track record. On other hand i see there side so its complex.

I dont give a f*** about far left about animal activism---yes i love animals lets not torture them etc but some go way too far and care more about animals then people.

Again i am speaking from my perspective IN USA!!!!

Many legitimate points @hairblues that distinguish the American situation from the European situation.

@FredTheBelgian has actually acknowledged some bizareness with the American right wing in the past. For example he's glad he wasn't crippled by student loans, and that he has access to public health care and public transportation.

It was simply an all-out atrocious situation in this election. It wasn't good against evil, it was evil against evil. Trump: all the problems you mention. Meanwhile Hillary wanted to wage an aggressive war against Russia and to intervene in Syria immediately after the election. It would have been a catastrophe.
