Wow captain, you are lucky that you were able to come back from the abyss known as nw5. I didn't know that about you. I understand that having an interesting personality and being engaging are important, but in social situations with strangers it is harder for me to open up and feel comfortable when my head seems to be what they are focusing on. At work however I am more comfortable and have had time to get to know people and that is where I can loosen up and be myself without fear of judgement because they have gotten used to my appearance.

Dude, if you didnt go around with a beanie all the time people would already be used to your appearance. You would be "the bald guy", but thats a lot better than hiding it and shocking people when you take your hat off. Be open with it bro.

Oh and both my grandfather died norwood 6 or 7 and were at that stage by their 30s. My dad is a 6 also and was by 30s.

I'm a 2.5v currently but have just had 18+ months off dutasteride and on just fluridil which works, but not enough!

Then it's no surprise you're going bald. At least you knew it was going to go down unlike some of us who ended up being worse than our father and grandfathers.

I can see you are having big troubles with accepting your loss and how it affects your appearance. But we have to be realistic :
For an average looking guy hair loss isnt big problem like it is for an excellent looking guys (i guess there is a stigma that they never suffer hairloss )
Why? Couse average looking guy couldnt have excellent girl even in time he was full of hair! Average girls he just to date are not PICKY, at least not so much. So he only have to adjust a little bit.
But very good looking guy is used to sleep with great chiks. And that girl category IS PICKY, very much. So the adjustment he has to make is a lot bigger - he dropped in average category.

I see people on this forum rate your look as very good.

Lets compare our situation with fat girls now shall we? UCMan would be the fat girl with the good curves. Aka, the girl you know she's fat, but if your into big tits / asses she could totally be your thing, and more. I would consider personally compare myself to the essence of the fat ugly girl, maybe with saggy tits as well If I went bald... :thumbdown2:

If you look good, you look good. Don't bother with it then. I myself am heavily relient on my hair thus: my regime, just as the fat girl being heavily relient on her treadmill and not eating more than 2000kcal a day.

So really it doesn't mather. If you'd look around the forum you'd see many of us complimenting guys who have shaved their hair and look better with it.

I'm personally here because I'm pretty desperate to keep my NW3 hair (and HOPEFULLY regrow some, somehow). I'm 21 years old. I hardly have any money either. No body to love... Life is hard.

Vanity will not help you when your losing hair dude... Not in the slightest bit AT ALL. Better to learn that now than later. I know from experience unfortunately, I had GREAT hair, but was never thankful enough for it. Felt insecure all the time (mainly also because I already sort of anticipated / feared to become the situation I'm in now) and look- here I am.

Vanity can, and WILL drive you insane my man. And here I'd agree with UCMan for a bit, if your still a NW2 or a 'passable' NW3, and are on a regimen, and are maintaining, why the hell bother? I'm grateful for UCMan actually, cause without any bullshit he's saying what life is like when your bald, and don't feel like being bald. I'll likely end up far worse than him, so best for me is to be prepared I gues...

I don't know if you're trolling and I'm not just having a poke at you here but you could definitely not 'slip as 10.' In terms of actual good looks you are not a better looking guy than UCman. If you really believe that good looking guys have it worse when they lose hair, then your ever so slight recession shouldn't have much of an impact on you at all. You're delusional.
