Short Version: Because it is a social taboo, even for 40 or 50 year olds.
Long Version:
I am 39. I lost my hear since the 20's eventually losing about 1 Norwood every couple of years in my 30's. I have a lovely family and my life is good. I never cared for my hair all these years. TBH I also did not believe anything can grow hair and I did not want an hair transplant.
I hopped on to treatment after meeting my elder brother after more than a decade who is on treatment.
I am on treatment since about 1.5 years and have been lucky to respond such that I am at about NW3 slight diffuse and still improving.
How getting from NW6 to NW3 has affected me:
- I now like to go out, socialise and meet people.
- My personality changed temporarily after I started looking good. I became slightly arrogant (over-confident). I am now fixing that.
- My partner and kids love me same, everything is same except she is bit worried if I talk about other women or start getting over friendly
- Women and girls do not look at me like I am a perv if they catch me looking at them
- I approach and talk to women
- I am motivated to keep healthy and stay fit liek going to the gym regularly. Earlier I was not motivated as I knew that would be in vain and I would not look good anyway
- I take care of my hair much more...every damn signle strand . Its like a treasure returned.
- I groom, buy nice clothes, etc
- I like my photos. I like when someone takes my photos and sends them around.
And finally...
- I am thinking of getting on facebook
Excuse me,can I know what treatment you are using?
