if yes, please can someone list the steps of how to order it as I can't find anything.

[h=2]Using Topical Liquid Finasteride[/h]
I am 21 and suffering from male pattern baldness. I am 2 months in treatment. For the first month, my doctor put me on 5% Minoxidil + 1.5% Amenixil Solution. But after one month when I visited him again, he switch me on a new solution, that is, 5% Minoxidil + 0.1% Finasteride. I am on this treatment from past 40 days. I think my hair loss is less aggressive than before. I still see few hairs in my hand when I do shampoo. So its not completely stopped .

I apply 2ml- 2.5 ml every night once a day as suggested by the dermatologist. And I also use caffeine + saw palmetto + Biotin enriched shampoo 5 days a week and Ketoconazole 2% twice a week. I am also taking multivitamin tablets rich biotin zinc amino acids L arginine L carnitine Lycopene and Co enzyme Q10.

One question I have is since I am applying 2ml of minoxidil with finasteride 0.1 so that means I am taking 2mg of finasteride. Is that ok and safe. I am not having any complications till now. And this is waht doctor recommend me.

And also how is Topical liquid finasteride compared to oral finasteride in effectiveness??

All right I think I finally figured out how topical finasteride could make sense.

In hindsight it's obvious.

Oral finasteride distributes evenly throughout the body. Every tissue in the body will get some five alpha reductase inhibitor.

For topical finasteride, you can lower the dose. Some of it will go systemic, but if the carriers are picked right there will be comparatively little finasteride left for the rest of the body.

OK. I've literally just had the the H&W topical delivered. Pondering whether to use it given the sides which have been reported. Might just take half the doseage and see if there are any sides. I was told nobody has experienced sides. Considering whether just to wait it out for Polichem to come out with theirs, given the structure approach to trial they are undertaking.

How did you get this

I'm giving topical finasteride a try as soon as it arrives - Polaris NR-11 (12% Minoxidil + 0.1% Finasteride + Alfatradiol .05%). After almost a year the sides on finasteride became concerning so I've been tapering off. It's a shame because oral finasteride worked wonders - completely stopped my hairloss. I will update on sides of the topical.

Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on the H&W solution. I'm seeing one of their reps for a consult in San Francisco on Saturday and wonder if it will be possible. If they're worth their salt as doctors, they'll want for me to retain as much hair as possible prior to a surgery, so I can't see why they wouldn't.

Thanks, Dolph, testimonies by people who've actually experienced sides on oral finasteride are exactly what we need as we're not likely to learn anything useful from those who didn't/wouldn't have sides on oral finasteride anyway.

Hello K9,

Are you purchasing pre-made topical finasteride. or do you prepare it yourself and with what vehicle?
Thank You.
This is a topic I definitely know about, because I use it everyday (since January 2015).

It is slightly more effective, but for side effects, it's the same. There's no difference.

So, it would be a slightly better option for saving your hair. But not for side effects.

Do you use Hasson & Wong's Topical finasteride? What percentage of finasteride?

I live in Vancouver and have been thinking of trying it out.

Thoughts on this?

Un-bleeping-believable that someone put so much time into this instead of finding out something more effective than finasteride.

It's like wanting to go to the Moon, but spending time trying to invent the seat belt for your car instead of building a rocket.

Anyway these are just my thoughts on this.

I am also using Topical Liquid Finasteride from past 40days. It is Morr F lotion. I has 5% minoxidil + 0.1% finasteride. And I apply 2ml of the solution every night before going to sleep. So that means I take 2mg of finasteride topically at a time. Is it safe to take 2mg of finasteride topically?? Os should I decrease the dose to 1 ml?? This is how my doctor told me to apply this.

As far as the side effects is concerned, I can't really figure out anything. Its been 40 days and I can't find any side effects as such. But the thing is I already have gynocomastia so is it going to get worse with Finasteride??

James80 have you tried it yet to see if you noticed any side effects. I have used normal topical finasteride, you'll know quite quickly. Just stop using it and once it's passed through it'll be fine again. The guy whose using this and said the sides were the same are you using the silcon based gel ?

Thanks

I used to use *******'s topical finasteride that was doing real wonders for me. But about a year ago ******* went under again. It defo worked, gave me a very slight ballache (nothing to be afraid of), which went away quickly. Also brain fog occured, but that I stopped with B vitamins and work outs. When comparing my libido, yes it was slightly reduced, but not much. Frankly, saw palmetto reduced my libido more than topical finasteride.... These days, I just mix a finasteride powder in alcohol and smear it all over my head... I also use Lipogaine + azelaic acid and RU and Revita/Big 3 shampoo. The hair is getting better :) Will have a hair transplant in the summer to fill in what I lost in 2 years, which frankly is not that much (I was on and off with the treatment, but since January I am following my regimen strictly).
