No, I do not have any resentment towards my ancestors for passing baldness down to me. Most men experience male pattern baldness some time through out life. It runs on both sides of my family, so it's no surprise to me that I got it. There's also graying on both sides which I am experiencing too, and is catching up quick. This is no one's fault, it is what has happened.
Some of my biggest problems with hair loss is the identity issue, the way you feel about yourself, and self image. The inflammation and itching of my scalp is already bothersome as it is.
I never cared much about what people think but the text in bold is probably what bothers me the most about how hair loss can be perceived. I've said something similar to this in my posts before, but I cannot believe that there are people out there who actually think we WANT to look like this. To me, it's at the same level of people who think wearing hats causes balding, and there's many out there who still think that's true.
There is a lot of truth in this.
I discovered this when my hair loss first became noticeable.
The response I got from people in my social circle, who I would otherwise consider intelligent, was basically;
"How do you walk around like that? Don't you know how bad that looks!
We're very disappointed in you."
Yep, that pretty much some it up.
Never put too much faith in the intelligence of your average citizen.
