I love Ava Garder. Have you heard of Gene Tierney @hairblues ? She was one of the most beautiful women for me.

Yes she is in a really famous movie she plays like a sociopath, cant think of the name of it but she did great job in it.

There were a few really beautiful brunette/light eyed actress in that time period.

The standard was super high.

I read a good article by GLL on men who overly think, analyse situations that involve women in attempts to try to be smooth, and suave. trying to avoid mistakes, awkwardness, and being weary of what to say.

This comes largely with experience, but as a whole it simply doesn't matter.

men who get laid the most are by no means smooth. Hitting on chicks, being sexuall in charge with dialogue, and being physical is what gets some one laid. Finding out now, instead of later if she is interested or not. But like anything just because a women likes you, doesnt mean shes sexually available. Which is why I am starting to believe that picking up chicks in clubs are ineffective. Women are surrounded by men, and women they already want to be with prior, and after to the main event. The before, and after is where deals, and lays are made. Inbetween, you will get a random make-out, possibly a forgotten number and a hand to go home to. These people often times have already decided who they are getting laid with, and you are simply the guy inbetween when they get there. (in most cases)

Its not in your control to determine whether she likes you or is sexually available and wanting to get to know you that following night. A lot of the times I used to contemplate why I didnt have that following chick in the bag at the bar and club. thinking the situation had all to do with me rather then what her schedule, and availability was. Just because a women is at the bar doesnt mean she is readily interested and available like men want to believe.

How to Win Friends and Influence People, buy the modern edition. It's got plenty of good advice in there, such as the importance of acknowledging mistakes.

I recently read The Like Switch which a forum member here recommended, it has good advice as well but I wasn't in as much of a mood to digest it. It has *a lot* of technical information on how to read body language.

After that I have a few unread books in my library. There's a book on autism, a biography of Barack Obama, and The Naked Ape by Desmond Morris. I'm not sure which I'm going to pick up.

What have you been reading lately?

Thanks.

I haven't read any books in quite a while --looks ashamed--
The next one I'm gonna read is Scott Adams How to fail at almost everything and still win big. After that it's Captivate.

Wat?!

I had no idea H.I did cocaine.
It was a couple weeks ago. He said he was doing cocaine while behaving like a sideshow and initiating fights with a handful of people based on old grudges.

Thanks.

Please let us know your thoughts when you're done.

It's interesting that we're both red pillers (mostly) yet we read self help books. Is that a contradiction? A hedge? A proof of balance?

What do you mean by red pill here? The PUA/conservative sites are very pro-self improvement. This is one of the main differences between the value systems of liberals and conservatives. Liberals whine about how the world is unfair, and about they deserve better. Conservatives accept that the world is unfair, and think about what they can do to better position themselves.

A couple of books you might like:
-Fast Food Nation (brilliant piece of jounalism, nothing to do with diet).
-Never good enough.

I agree. I remember when everyone (literally) went crazy for her. Of course I can see she is VERY pretty and sexy, but I'm curious - what is it about her that makes her so special in the eyes of men? What sets her apart from other women? In her prime (transformers) you could literally ask almost any guy and they'd say their dream girl was Fox. And she was the girl every woman wanted to look like.
This is where I first saw her:

She just has/had something...Great features, exotic looks, slightly dominant personality (but not too much), not a bimbo, and super sexual. She looked like the kind of 20 year old girl who would take you into the bedroom and open up a whole new world.

Daddario is very hot but she doesn't have that quality. I agree that she looks amazing for 31. She doesn't ooze sex though.

Malena Morgan is someone who I've felt looked like Fox and gave that dominant sexual vibe.

I don't map the red/blue pill dichotomy onto the conservative/liberal dichotomy. Do you think that I should?

These books are largely about personality and interactions, whereas the discussions on this site are focused on looks. If we were consistent, would we not be reading books on grooming tips? Perhaps we get enough of that here.
