Quite an assumption. Tsuji isn’t even gonna happen, it’s just the latest meme that softens one’s heart about this issue. And yes, you’re all clueless and the reason I tell you is because you claim to be the opposite. I get it, you kids google and visit ncbi. You read A, you read B, then you add A and B and form your conclusions. But there is no A and B, there is A to Z. And that’s a fraction of the literature that you need to know in order to understand. When people say “my balls hurt on propecia but it went away” what do you make of it? Nothing. You need ncbi related articles but none of them will tell you why it happened and what went on or where you are now after the pain is gone.

My point is this whole thing is false and if you take the few seconds to open your eyes and ears, you’ll see it too. This is not only a childish approach to dangerous chemical cocktails, the entire path is wrong. Antiandrogens will never be a proper solution to hair loss because it doesn’t combat what it needs to combat, it works as a nuclear explosion to kill the lights. Lights go off, so does everything else.

If someone wants to do research, it’s not the way to do it. Reading a bunch of articles means nothing. Read literature, medicine books, visit endocrinologists. I know, many doctors are clueless about much of it but not all. And let us focus on taking a different path into fighting hair loss.

Scaring people works well sometimes. It prevents them from doing stupid sh*t they will regret later on. Reading the kid’s post on how permanently damaging the AR enzyme is a beautiful way to halt hair loss and hair loss to those who don’t respond to Finasteride is absurd. First of all, nobody here knows why some don’t respond. Maybe in fact they do but there is another factor working synergistically with the AR enzyme you’re fighting. And it just doesn’t stop hair loss. You can’t force your assumptions as facts to an argument because it suits you. Nobody needs to assume regarding the horrendous and sometimes irreversible damage this drug can have on an individual. Son, any guy on gear will tell you using an AI for years is suicide. Why don’t you google THAT. And you want me to shut up and tell nobody that this horrendous drug taken for life is what? Is going to be ok? Is going to be fine because you and someone else take it? That’s classic misinformation, when A trusts B based on B’s personal experience. Finasteride has a sheet of paper with side effects that should you notice them, discontinue the drug immediately. And people here take it regardless of them. One day they develop other far more complicated sides. Brain isn’t what it used to be, shortterm memory is fucked. Immune system problems. Surely it must be all the relentless sex and parting you’ve had. No wait, you didn’t. With a limp dick and b**ch tits? No.

f*** this drug and anyone promoting it or any related drugs as safe and sound. Period.
noone said they are safe and sound , i ve quite finasteride after years cause of sides . But all you do in here is try to scare people without having a medical background , practically you google stuff and throw arguments under every topic , and then make fun of people for reading articles

Where do you think literature, medicine book and endocrinologists get their information? Surely it isn't clinical and bench research!!! No those are just stupid articles...

I will pretend I didn’t read that. I will assume it’s a bait. It has to be a bait.

Deflect deflect deflect. It’s really your only strategy when people try to get you to admit there is not some super secret knowledge that you have which makes our current clinical data wrong.

Modern medicine is called evidence based for a reason, because baseless extrapolations like you so routinely throw around tend to be wrong

actually you didnt link anything in any of the topics you replied to , you call ncbi a joke and post things that you supposedly read about in medicine books ? link these books next time , and you had better quote the exact paragraphs from the books , if you dont have a medical background how are you "summarising" and using them as arguments ?

I will show you what the books of first year I’d medicine here in my country looks like. You’re a moron if you think people study the articles you read to get their degree. That’s what lazy people do in their spare time because they like it. Hair loss sufferers on the other hand do it because hey are obsessed with it. Please log out. Now. Didn’t even read your post tbh.

Ncbi isn’t a joke, that term would be nonsensical. You’re the joke because you use articles related to a subject you have no idea about and come to conclusions based on bits here and there that you alone put together and use some childish, naive algorithm to state your conclusions as facts. And you state them as facts by linking the exact same articles you used to craft your conclusion in the first place. Can you understand how moronic that is? People do it everywhere, in fitness industry, hair loss industry, you name it. And yet nobody has ever ever actually contributed or better yet “discovered” anything substantial. I know it feels adventurous and neat to play “scientists and mice” but you have no place in medicine and you don’t try to acquire a tiny space in it because you keep doing it wrong. The fact that you think a couple of hours of scrolling through articles makes you relevant or adequate to “state facts” about hormones is absurd. This is why many people fall victims to medication, because they ditch their doctors and listen to “online gurus”.

I have a MD. I’m a pediatrician.

Medical textbooks are a very condensed version of our current medical knowledge that is derived from clinical research... rarely is a textbook used for clinical management decisions... we use guidelines and the latest clinical data. Ask any top specialist his opinion on something and he will cite hard data, not a textbook like Harrison’s.

So my doctor prescribed my finasteride ,are you happy now ?Am i free to take it ?
You dont have an approach to hairloss , you are basically asking everyone to wait for a product to come out when the only thing that came out the last 30 years is finasteride and minoxidil . You are using textbook terms that you probably dont even understand to scare people off everything and you ask them to do nothing about their issue, and not even try to follow new research.I dont understand what you are doing in this section at all, it is not about proven and safe treatments , nor is it about accepting hairloss

A pediatrician has no relation whatsoever to the subject we are talking about. I urge you to reconsider and understand that endocrinologists don’t cite data to cure people, they do read citings and also discuss with other doctors of different areas but that has nothing to do with how they will treat a patient with Hashimoto, how they will treat a patient with thyroid cancer or how they will treat a kid with gyno. No they won’t prescribe letro because if you’d read literature regarding femera you’d find out a lot more than you’d expect. Instead, someone will go to bb.com, go to misc, search for gyno reversal naturally, find citings in ncbi mentioning the words letrozole, conclude that “based on what I read it looks safe” and then throw his f*****g axis to neverland.

Please, don’t. Besides you’re he prime example of a person who took Finasteride while on sides, quit it after years and put his life at risk knowing it’s false. If that doesn’t make you what I’ve stated before, I don’t know what does.

what is the main risk of using an AI to reduce oestradiol to the normal range ( If you only have to take extremly low dosage , like 01 mg arimidex twice a week ) ?
Or using a SERM such as raloxifene for a short period of time ( 3 month max ) ?

Dude you quite obviously have zero medical experience yourself... an endocrinologist would absolutely use the latest clinical data to guide management of hashimotos. It's called EVIDENCE base medicine for a reason. We do what's shown to work with statistically sound studies, whether we are a pediatrician, surgeon, endocrinologist etc etc

The second half of what you wrote was pure gibberish...

You being a pediatrician has nothing to do with endocrinology or other medical areas. Endocrinologists have massive amounts of literature they read and it serves to educate them. If I ask you about fatty liver and blood tests you will have absolutely no clue because you are as useless in this field as the college degree you got by paying fees annually. I’ve tried to explain but you don’t want to listen.

In the end, and I close this here, I find it wrong to push people into antiandrogens as a hair loss cure. I find it wrong that you cite articles around the subject but not specific and use them as facts to promote your own conclusions as correct. I think we need to move forward from old topical and oral solutions that as you’ve witnessed yourself cannot possibly be taken for life. Maybe we need to start citing articles regarding Tsuji, regarding organ and follicular regeneration, maybe we need to search articles talking about genes, about something out of the spectrum, peptides, whatever. Certainly not the childish search you and others do by putting a single word on the search bar and citing what comes on top of the results list. To put your mind to think, to find the new search word instead of taking it from here, that’s the hard part. And to find the right words to lead you to the right citings, you need to have a clue. A clue you get from literature and education and building the foundation.

Cheers.

More hairloss

Excellent. Just the post I needed to prove my last point. Childish assumption based on the childish search algorithm that says “reducing estrogens cause more hair loss”. When in fact, an AI will crush your IGF-1 and cholesterol. How would you know that if you haven’t opened a book? It won’t be mentioned as simply as I’ve stated it. But it’s mentioned and you learn why it happens, not that it happens. And even if it wasn’t, a person who have studied can put two and two together. On the contrary, a person who reads articles about subjects not specifically related to what he’s asked can EASILY be led to FALSE conclusions.

Is it the medication itself which cause lipid issue OR the fact that you overuse it and crush your oestradiol too low ?
And I don't think low E2 will cause hair thinning , prepubertal boy have very low E2

Yes please don’t ask me about “fatty liver and blood tests” because I know nothing of those lol.

I work with endocrine problems all the time... an endocrinologist doesn’t have some sort of secret knowledge that no one else does. They use the same data and guidelines like everyone else.

You degrade people as simply using google to find data, but I’ve never seen you demonstrate any knowledge in how to actually do a scientific literature review or show any of the statistical background necessary to actually interpet the data presented to you. The fact that you cite 1st year medical student texts is extremely telling. There are some on this forum with obvious scientific backgrounds who actually have something of value to add. You are not one of them, stop acting like you are

Name the two things that show fat in the liver and at which values or more and which must be at what value. Name them, you include them in blood tests should you wish to. Name them right now. You’re free to search using any browser and any article you want to, since you obviously have no clue. You would if you studied. Go.

Edit: @hemingway_the_mercenary
already disliked it, he couldn’t find sh*t on ncbi, he’s mad.

The medication itself and for prolonged periods of time. It’s the act itself of the AI and the AI itself, not the estradiol value. Do blood tests and find out where you’re at.
