The problem with these long threads are that the information and pictures are spread out over 150 pages so we get a lot of repeat questions. Do you guys think starting a new thread where the initial post contains all progress pictures, shared studies, information on how to roll, different pens etc etc from this thread could ge a good idea?

These are the pictures from the first 50 pages. I´m currently collecting all of them

Hey, man.
I think that's a great idea. That way, we can just link the newcomers to that thread.

If it works for hair the same way it does for skin then i suspect it has long lasting results, i had very deep visible forehead lines that i got rid of using a manual stamp, after they went away i got lazy and probably didn't stamp again for a year or so and the lines were still not noticeable. I hope this is the same.

Yes, it might well be. Centurie's case might be of limited significance. As he noted himself, his loss area is minimal and it seems to be the same area that the vast majority of men lose early on in life, including many whose hairloss is not going to progress further.
We may hypothesise that specific dynamics apply to that area than the rest of the scalp.

In the German forum, many people tried dermarolling in the past and I remember that a lot of people only got vellus hair which never turned terminal. :(

Were they following the studies?

The same can be said of any treatment including the ones with the pompous label of "FDA approved"

Keep in mind that a lot of people only use a roller, which definitley doesn’t penetrate the full depth. We need to reach 1.5mm to activate a response for the skin to begin repairing follicles as well as the skin. This is why a stamp or pen is more effective.
Also, I would think that when you stop wounding, you will start to lose hair at the same rate you were before starting. There may be a period of time where the new regrowth remains, and then after the damage to the follicles accumulates over a few months the balding resumes at the same pace.

Just stamped for my fourth time today, pic taken about an hour afterward. My pen is broke so i can only use the lowest speed setting which isn't as effective in wounding imo. People with ultima A6 may think the same.

Im currently taking 0.5mg dutasteride every second day(not been on it long)
10mg oral minoxidil at night
5% minoxidil foam at night with light dermarolling using 1.5mm roller(not on the day i stamp)
various supplements(biotin, msm, fish oil, zinc etc etc)

So these are pretty much all progress pictures in this thread. I Skipped some that was just results from the first few weeks of needling.
I´m trying to gather up pretty much all the things we have learned so far, i´m by no means the most knowledgeable guy here, probably not even top 100 in this thread so please tell me more things i should add, then eventually we can make a new thread so we get all the information on the first page

Progress Pictures
Regimens and length between pictures vary, all are consistent micro-needlers though.

I don't know if you can determine that people who use a roller definitely don't penetrate the full depth...
Maybe it makes bigger wounds and hurts more, but it is possible to use a roller do it right.

Yes the person on whom this thread is based on used a roller. There is no need to be worry about what device is used. We are all over thinking this.

I would add another frequency option for up to 4 weeks intervals.
Besides logic (complete collagen buildup takes 3 months, for other skin treatments the recommendation for 1.5mm needling is every 6 weeks),
There is a study from 2016 where they needled once a month and still regrew hair (some with minoxidil and some without)
It also makes it easy for some people to keep up with this method because it's not the most fun to do and you have 1-2 days of recover.
So I think that should be an option.

We need not worry about this.

The healing time period of 2mm microneedling session for skin treatments is actually 4-6 weeks. We can just change to that frequency if it works for us and we are satisfied with the result. I will actually apply minoxidil right after all over the scalp if I end up doing it once a month. Right now I'm applying it only in my worst hit area.
