This misc broscience has to stop. Im all for giving microneedling a fair chance but lets keep it realistic.
Whoever came up with this ridiculous theory that 'crunchy noises in your scalp means fibrosis' needs to be shot or banned. And continual massage/microneedling until the 'crunchy noises go away' means that 'the fibrosis has gone' is 100% broscience and is as bad as saying cold showers boost test 200%.
Fact is no one in this thread has posted any photo evidence that microneedling even works, the only photos posted thus far contain one or more of the following:

1. Obvious Toppik use
2. Person posting the pics is selling something i.e. the OP
3. Person posting the pics has no before photos
4. Person posting the pics started finasteride and/or minoxidil at the same time as microneedling

Are you saying @layabout is using toppik to fake microneedling results? I seriously doubt that.

I've been using capillary fibers for a long time and thesepictures I don't see evidence of capillary fibers.

I don't know anything about this fibrosis theories but what I know is that you didn't look up 272 pages to discredit all guys as fakers...why do so many people join this thread only to attack members and their hopes...time will pass and we will see more and more results...maybe at this time you start to believe but do not tell us this thread isnt full of directly related microneedling results.

I don't really know what is going on scalp is more painful now when I needle..no flaking still prob cause I'm not on minoxidil..so far existing hair grows stronger faster looks more wirey..will update at 3 months

I'm on my 10th session and last 3 were really painful, maybe it's due to decreased inflammation hence scalp is thinner, but that's just a guess.

Just a heads up - I’ve been using topical corticosteroid shampoo for scalp psoriasis for a few years off and on and it has probably thinned my scalp as steroids are known to do.

If you use clobetasol or any kind of medicated shampoo, be aware of the possibility that your scalp is thinner than it should be and you’re actually poking way deeper than you think

Best of luck dermabros

No, he fits into the 'no before photos' category.

Your before and after pics are totally different lighting.
Im all for legitimate results but to do so you need same hair length and same lighting and without starting other treatments at the same time.

Once again have your read the whole thread? There are numerous pictures of people with results. Someone compiled some pics earlier in it. Secondly there are numerous people that have posted other pictures on here. There are many anecdotals of people getting results early on who also haven't posted pics. There are two-three studies on this, and follica is working with wounding as there main treatment.

I ask, why would anyone come to a hairloss forum, not only lie about their results and regimen, and on top of that put up fake photos. So they can get the approval from people on the forum? I highly highly doubt it, it doesn't make any sense. Like legit i'm starting to wonder if people are being paid to come in and derail this topic.

First part of your message you claim everyone's fibrosis theory has no basis. Then you turn around and make claims that have no basis yourself.

Not only this topic, there are users who seem to enjoy seeingthat there are no treatments for alopecia.

Hello, everyone!

I am reading this forum for more than one year already (feel so unfortunate to go through hairloss in my prime years, but this is exactly what happened....).

First of all, I would like to say a BIG THANKS to the Numberguy. I was in such a deep depression and everyday had suicidal thoughts. However, after I've seen his results I realised that there is hope and it might be possible to reverse the whole thing via hard work (this is what I am best at, so if it is the case, surely I don't want to miss this opportunity). So, if you are reading it, thank you man, once again. You are helping a lot, and, please, do not stop encouraging people. You might even save some lives with your effort, and I am being serious here.

Today I completed my 2nd session. Apart from that, I am using minoxidil foam twice daily. It improved situation at my temples a bit (I am using it since august and before January was using just once before night, apparently it was enough). However, I still feel very down all the time, as I know that I went from very thick hair to such a BS that I do not feel being myself anymore...

Just wanted to share this with you guys. This forum and people that try to find solutions are making me keep going. Thank you all for that. I just hope we all will be able to go through it and live a happy life. That is all I wanted and wish you all the same...

I hope that I will get a good result from needling treatment, and all of you too! WIll share the pics once I see some improvement.

Cheers!

Welcome to this crazy thread! (or at least, out of the shadows). Best of luck needling as well. What Norwood# are you starting at would you say? Pen? Roller?

I also agree on the thought of hard work, or at least ... persistence. Being able to do more than just apply minoxidil makes it feel like you're doing something about the situation rather than spending money and praying.

Today marks the third week im microneedling+monoxidil. I am using the Dr.Pen A6 with 12needles at 1.25ml. I haven't seen any results yet. I think I'm probably between NW4 and NW5.
