This place most of the time is like its just ranting for the sake of it. Look at the David Bowie thread, noone can just go "R.I.P you will be missed" etc no they had to use it to moan about hairloss, same with Prince William and stupid comments on the pages. Its like people are LOOKING for reasons to moan and rant about.

I agree about the "cutting down" part of the OP at least.

The way posters on here continually ridicule each others views at the earliest opportunity and turn on each other like dogs is almost comical at this stage.

I think that once you've learnt everything there is to know here about hair loss treatments and hair transplants, this whole forum is then best avoided because after a while, whether it be consciously or subconsciously, the steady stream of negativity will drag you down mentally and warp your whole world view on things.

Lets be clear, I'm still just as objective and realistic about baldness as I always have been & I suspect all the balding/bald guys who don't use the forum are too, but why self-impose even more negativity on ourselves??.... As if being bald in the 2016 real world wasn't already hard enough! loool

Him and Jesse we're my favourite characters. Mike was great. It's great to see him again in Better Call Saul.

Oh i agree about the negative type vibe getting to you, i always regret saying some comments cause i realise due to what i see makes me say some things what may seem...harsh or angry etc, when really all i want is the place to calm down abit. Again this dont mean we have to hold hands blah blah, you gonna rant but just chill out sometimes take a break and talk about good things, like you say "why self-impose even more negativity on ourselves??".

Yeah, being realistic and truthful is fine up to a point. Ther's a way of saying things even when you're telling someone a harsh truth.............

I think the forums should be for everyone - the positive and the negative. If anybody has a problem with that, they're free to leave. Nobody is forcing you to stay on the forums :)

I just saw that I've surpassed 1000 posts on HairLossTalk.com... Don't know if that's an accomplishment or a sign of how much of a loser I am... Maybe a bit of both lol

Come on, this is a hair loss forum - we're not supposed to hold hands and tell each other everything will be alright. The reason why I like this forum is mainly because people here are honest about their experiences, and doesn't sugar coat reality. Hair loss is devastating, so naturally that will reflect onto the posts here. But I still think we support each other in a way, by giving advice on treatment options and how to deal with baldness etc. I think this forum is great exactly the way it is; we don't need to turn into HerAlopecia where everyone compliments each others wigs and sing each others praises. That's not how it works in the real world.

You don't get along with most women, do you EvilLocks? :)

Also, you're starting to write like us dudes.:smoke:

I think it is understandable that some of the posts on here seem bitter. This is a place to vent, at least in part.

Actually I do get along with most women. I just prefer the honesty of men, they don't sugar coat reality like the women on HerAlopecia. But I do have a lot of female friends, at least used to (prior to baldness). After baldness I only have a few close friends left.

Yeah, I AM somewhat turning into a dude you know (baldness). So why not write like them? :woot:

Thats fine, but when you see threads like David Bowie what is nothing to do with baldness yet used to go on a rant...what next?

This section is called "The Impact of Hairloss", it's not the "Pretend Hairloss has no Impact" section.

Whos saying that though?

A lot aren't, you just need to go to a website like SlyBaldGuys to see this. I personally find the realistic views on hair loss here refreshing, and I wish that I had come here sooner.

I'm newer to this site, so I can't honestly say that I can lay proper judgement on it.. Just reading through several threads led to this particular one. I'm not sunshine pumping nor trying to void "reality". Just think a little more grace would be nice for this place.

Grace is saved for the field. When bald guys are being openly disrespected out in public and they somehow manage to keep their composure, that is the definition of "maning up" imo. Its not like bald guys can openly discuss these issues with friends, family or coworkers because nobody wants to hear a bald guy b**ch. Thats why this section is perfect, just the way it is. It's only natural that this place is so negative because as hair loss suffers, we get alot of unwelcomed shyt from the public. All of that negativity that is force fed to us componds and given the utter lack of effective options, bitching is litterally all that is left for us to do. And god bless this place for that reason.
