What Are Everyone's Opinions On Something Solid Being Out By 2020?

I don't think so. What I am hoping that at least we will have clue where we are going with RCH-01 and Seti/Fevi. I don’t care about Tsuji and other topical magic mixture.

Highly unlikely. There are realistically 3 options that could be available to the public based on their current FDA/trial statuses:
  • Follica
  • Samumed
  • Replicel
Follica seems to be limping along in terms of progress. I doubt they'll go through phase III trials and release within 1.5 years considering nothing solid has been announced. Who knows how effective Replicel even is, and if it's worth traveling to Japan for. But based on current trial status, they have the most straightforward path to release since they don't need a phase III.

The only thing I can see potentially getting released in 2020 would be Samumed since they've explicitly stated they'll enter Phase III this year. And that is likely more like 2021.

Riken/Tsuji might be in trials then but unlikely it will be widely available, if at all, in 2020. There's always the chance of something popping up in a less regulated country (I think an international or serendipitous breakthrough is our best hope at this point), but who knows.

Follica is limping along, good way to put it...its like follica wants their product to be as good as possible and if that means delay after delay then they seem to be fine with it.

not sure if you're criticizing my post or not. But true, if they can significantly enhance the product, I don't mind the delays. Considering they can't make any significant changes without redoing past trials, though, I don't think the delays are to increase its efficacy...it's probably just $$ and logistics.

seriously though i think male pattern baldness is a lot harder to cure than people realise. if you are slick bald, it means your follicles have been destroyed. there is as much chance as a pill or lotion being released that can regrow an eye or a heart, as there is a pill regrowing a follicle.

You talking about hair regrowth, not hair loss cure.

Tsuji or something similar is going to be available sooner or later I believe. They're treating the issue with a different approach unrelated to the cause of hair loss. While all other companies are trying to combat nature.

I think you guys are missing the biggest breakthrough in the past 20 years and it should be available late July! Topical Zinc Thymulin. It has been shown to regrow hair on slick bald patched that haven't seen hair for 10 years. It may not be a complete cure but the closest thing we have right now!

Please show pics other then the few study pictures that have hair length differences. If i had patients on a product and it worked, I guarantee that would let me show results as long as their face was not shown!

I am absolutely sure there are more pictures as he has already sent some to Zenhead. I would say right from the start that this treatment is a slow burner with the best results between 6-12 months.

Ok so when are you guys going to be placing your orders? I would go nuts if a bunch of you reported back side effect free positive results. It would be a gold mine and would make my summer!

Nobody knows. None of us are actual doctors, I found some of the wordings in the paper slightly strange and some of the methodology questionable, also the complete lack of footnotes irritated me. But I am just applying general academic standards, medicine is not really my field, maybe I am projecting wrong expectations onto the paper.

Some of the pictures were indeed very promising and clear, though, showing clear regrowth in very old patients, who probably lost their hair quite a while ago. On the other hand, we didn't really have a picture on younger patients showing an improvement in hair density, that was proportionally higher as one might expect.

I just wish we had a few more alternative FDA treatments that were finished with actual studies proving they worked. Nothing works for everyone, and even the best one propecia has some major risks associated with it. 30 years later there should have been some other formulations, or a topical version to help people that cant use propecia.
I think more needs to go into AAs and preventative treatments because I dont see anything beyond prevention treatments in the next 20 years honestly
