Yeah but it's all just a competition isn't it?

I mean if every girl stopped wearing makeup they'd all still get the same guys. (besides the ones that it works particularly well on, but you get my point).

So even if it were socially expected of guys to wear makeup, we'd still all get the same girls, so long as you're wearing the makeup.

Makeup as in "make up for our flaws". If you don't have hair loss you can get a cool hairstyle which takes away the attention from your flaws and gives the illusion that you're better looking than reality.

To be fair, it really isn't difficult to spot the ones who will look bad with no makeup, it just takes practice. Not falling for girls with heavy makeup is a good start.

A girl with "no make up" make up shouldn't look too different from strict no makeup look.

If you tell me a girl can go from 6 to 10 with makeup, you need to revisit your taste.

Like I said hair is the only thing that works as make up for men, with the right hairstyle you can gain a few points and takes the attention away from your flaws, same with make up for women, there's so much they can do without having the right features to begin with. Women's hair doesn't make much of a difference unless they go really short, they won't gain a thing for having a pony tail one day and a side part the next day, as long as it looks tidy their appeal stays the same.

This, especially in Milan. Whenever I see a 6+ girl, I'm sure her boyfriend will be at least 2 points better, tall, fullhead, muscular, top tier facial aesthetics. And guess what? I'm always correct. Exceptions are rare, and there's always money and status in the picture anyway.

I do not doubt you can be pretty although short. I am talking about what seems to be the rule in the rich parts of North of Italy (I don't know about the South): men and women seem to follow the "looksmatching" hypothesis to a "T". The thing is so visible that exceptions are immediately spotted and a justification will be present (usually it's money).

Its so refreshing to see such quality posts - a lot of the posters aren't all doom and gloom but acknowledge the importance of looks and how they play a significant factor in searching for a mate.

4 point jumps are rare I'm sure, however, I don't doubt they can happen in the most extreme of cases, as I've easily seen chicks go from 5's to 8's by caking their faces in that sh*t. The majority of men are fooled by it. Even now I'm thinking of one girl I know who I'm heavily suspicious may be a 4/10 without makeout....and dudes are all about her. Many women just never leave the house without makeup so the people in their lives don't know any better

As I said before, all men can do is looksmax as best we can and we are what we are. We can't just throw a mask on our face everyday to add whole points to our looks and get away with it...it's not socially acceptable for straight men to wear makeup

Maybe...idk....gaining a FEW POINTS just by STYLING it a certain way? Maybe .5 - 1 point in the best case scenarios.

I don't know that dudes should be doing really flamboyant looking styles unless they:

a) are sub NW1.5 and 8+ in the face

or

b) have that super thick, borderline cartoonish looking NW0 hair

....otherwise I think you risk drawing attention to yourself as a "hot guy wannabe"

Strict looksmatching is just rare in real life.
Even in Hollywood, michael fassbender and alicia vikander. She's beautiful without a doubt but I'd say she's about 1-2 points below him.

Really, thats funny i think she is so beautiful but part of it is her performances perhaps 'enhancing' her beauty.

And to me he already looks 'aged' ...not sure how old he is but has not been around that long so assumed he is in 30s but looks 40s to me. Handsome but aged.

i do too....I see two types...

1 is the 'rich' dudes with the real beauty that most men dream about. Although the OLDER rich dudes are usually with more 'sexy' high end prostitutes look that most young guys would NOT dream of.

2 the middle class or lower middle class pretty 'wannabe' Kim K looking chick with a BF she bosses around.
