What Is Your Worst/lowest Balding Moment?

I've honestly lost track of what was the worst experience. There are so many to choose from...

A recent experience was when two girls I knew when I had hair three years ago told me that I don't look good anymore. Another friend said..."oh hi... I couldn't recognise you after so long!". And the girl next to him said.... "Because of the hair loss?"
It's crippling. Only I know how hard it was v to hold myself together the whole day...

Oven my own mother who tries to be nice to me winds up saying things like "well, at least he can focus on work, since girls won't bother him"

It's hard for me to carry on and live through all this. I spend all of my free time all alone and am losing my soul.

Just finished reading some of the comments on here and I must say that some of your guys experiences are really bad, is balding really that bad? I'm currently 19 and started to lose my hair at around at 16 but things really haven't been that bad. Started buzzing my head and most of the responses have been pretty good so far. You guys shouldn't let a couple of experiences rule your life, easier said than done i know but seriously there is more to life than hair.

Girl I was dating recently told me that my hair looked like a bad combover, that hurt. It's what sent me here in the first place.

I'm not going to lie; Balding would bother me if I wasn't balding myself. Now? I wouldn't give a crap if a guy I was dating wore a wig, as long as it looked real of course. Had I still been an ignorant fullhead though, things might have been different. To be honest I think many girls will find a man with a hair piece a loser, sadly. I think that's very sad, because if done right a hair piece can look very real and it wouldn't bother me at all, truly.

What about guys who just shave it bro?

The people on here are the ones who find it hard to live with.

The ones who don't care much aren't going to post on here because they have other things to be doing

True, but those who truly don't care are either 9/10 super Chads who have barely lost half a point in looks, or are a rare breed of mental toughness, or, completely deluded. And I mean even beyond the cope we see on this forum.

So a rare bunch indeed.

The majority however, including those who don't go on forums about it, struggle. And just because they don't post about it on a forum daily, does not mean they are not struggling. Even the most "mentally tough" balding or bald guys who are true alphas, who seemingly couldn't give a sh*t about a little hair, will inevitably show their true feelings as you get to know them and when they bring it up. And it's more than a micro-signal, that wincing after they make a self-deprecating joke while running their hand over their scalp, the pain in those eyes, and their cope is the illusion that they're fine with it.

We even see 60 year old, 80 year old guys, way beyond what we could imagine as being part of our social media selfie generation, with thin side and back hairs pristinely placed over a shiny scalp, I don't think they post about it either.

If anything the guys out there not posting about it are just as likely to be dealing with it terribly, with no release for their bottled up frustration like telling an anonymous empathising (mainly) group of forum members. Instead they joke about it regularly with their "mates", and go home to either face that truth in the mirror alone, or their partner who is significantly less appealing, in all ways, than what they had envisaged for themselves as a young man looking forward.

Maybe that's an overly bleek picture but no, I genuinely don't believe any significant amount of men are "OK" about balding. They simply just aren't the forum posting types in general, and actually the vast majority of people would look ridiculous trying to put themselves across on a forum.

Even my more intelligent friends who I've seen on forums do not understand how it works, and look like retards or like they're trying ridiculously hard to be hilarious.

You obviously look okay with hair loss. Most people don't!
Consider yourself very lucky.

It is quite a hard thing to assess because most men don't open up about their feelings.

I feel I cant have a good debate on this topic because its so difficult to know if most men loathe hair loss or whether some men really do just get used to it.

Either way, its clear we cant really handle it too well because otherwise we wouldn't be on here.

I'm personally trying to embrace it as much as possible and hopefully will pull of the bald look one day, but if I cant do that then I will have to get a hair transplant.

Ya I don't agree, my brother who is a 3 years younger than me is NW4-5, started losing it at 18. He laughed and joked the whole time about it, he let girls touch his bald head, he's also overweight. He just can't comprehend why I even care. Trying to explain why this is hurting me so much is how I imagine explaining human biology to an extra-terrestrial being would be. It's baffling, but he really doesn't care what he looks like and can't understand why I do. Has a live in GF too, just an overall very happy guy. I think a lot of guys don't care. It's changing slowly but surely with dating apps, social media, and feminism making women more independent and choose-y but I would still bet it's a 60/40 split on the side of guys who don't give a sh*t.

I'm pretty f*****g tired of this idiotic, edgelord "red pill" rhetoric and misogyny I see on here and would like to wipe it out like the cockroach nest of bad ideas that it is but somethings just aren't in the cards I suppose.

It's not on the cards because it's not reality.

What is the worst thing that has ever happened to you in relation to your hair loss? From being mocked, to being dumped, to noticing your balding for the first time?

Mine isn't so bad, but I remember a girl telling me that she didn't mind my hair loss but if lost too much more than she could never sleep with me because she could never 'do' a bald guy. I laughed it off and told her that I treat my hair loss so it doesn't get too much worse and that was the end of it. But deep inside that was an awful thing to hear.

So whats your worst experience?
well there are many,

like being told to get married soon

staring at your hairline while making a conversation

getting mocked by relatives(and these assholes have almost everything in life fucked up, except their hair)

I can go on...

Yes a bunch of neurotic people screaming online about arcane topics 90% of the population don't understand is reality, great job Lord Kek don't forget to buy a copy of Mike Thernovich's (America's leading Mindthet Exthpert's) new book Gorilla Masturbating in Front of Women.

I don't have a clue what you're talking about. What exactly is your issue?

Worst moment would be when I saw on my girlfriend of 3 year's facebook that her friends had made fun of her being with me. They logged into her account, and wrote a post something like i like men with bad receding hair lines that look like middle aged men. This was when i was age 20, receding fast and diffusing, probably NW4. Anyway, a few weeks later she broke it off with me, she never really gave a reason but i'm sure it was because of hair loss. It was brutal, although i find it hard to blame her. My looks had gone to sh*t in the space of 3 or so years.

On a positive note, about 3 years later after uni when i was back to NW2 with better density i saw her out with some of her mates. She started texting me after that asking to meet up and eventually she started to say things about getting back together. It was quite satisfying breaking the news to her that i had started to date someone else.

sh*t man , that's really brutal

To be perfectly honest, after the hair transplant I stopped finasteride. At that time (2006-7) there was no notion that fina was essential for keeping your transplanted hair. Today, derms say "you don't have a hair transplant if you don't do fina". Not back then.

Those were the first years of the "new wave" of hair transplant, that is the say the first ones that did not look like plugs but really changed your hair for the best.
Little did I know that, in the long run, transplanted hair can slowly fall down, as for some people (my father, for instance), the "donor area" is not SO fail-safe.
So, I restarted fina in 2014, after 7 years of stop in which I thought it was no more necessary.

The hormones that are in the minoxidil have no big side effect on sexual function, except for reduced semen quantity. But the quality of the sexual function is untouched.
But indeed both them and finasteride have slowed down the speed of growth of chest hair and shoulder hair. The beard remains very thick, untouched by hormones or fina.
so @Roberto_72 can you tell me how long finasteride maintained your hair above baseline from starting treatments? and when was it that you found it going below baseline(at what year after starting your finasteride treatment)?

Honestly the original hair did not maintain with finasteride. I started finasteride + minoxidil at 21 and at 30 I was NW6.
I had two transplants later and finasteride is essential to keep THE TRANSPLANTED HAIR

@Roberto_72 oh, so at 21 when you got started at what norwood were you?

and how is the history of male pattern baldness in your family? to lose with finasteride+min from 21 - 30 seems a bit aggressive isn't it?
