To be perfectly honest, after the hair transplant I stopped finasteride. At that time (2006-7) there was no notion that fina was essential for keeping your transplanted hair. Today, derms say "you don't have a hair transplant if you don't do fina". Not back then.
Those were the first years of the "new wave" of hair transplant, that is the say the first ones that did not look like plugs but really changed your hair for the best.
Little did I know that, in the long run, transplanted hair can slowly fall down, as for some people (my father, for instance), the "donor area" is not SO fail-safe.
So, I restarted fina in 2014, after 7 years of stop in which I thought it was no more necessary.
The hormones that are in the minoxidil have no big side effect on sexual function, except for reduced semen quantity. But the quality of the sexual function is untouched.
But indeed both them and finasteride have slowed down the speed of growth of chest hair and shoulder hair. The beard remains very thick, untouched by hormones or fina.
