most people arent. theyre in a kind of no mans land. kind of going bald with diffuse hair loss. this isnt an easy position to be in because you can easily suffer from shock loss, and later have your hair loss progress despite the meds your taking.

its not as simple as 'yeah f*** it lets get a hair transplant'

I'm a 1.5 - 2 with my crown closing up, just waiting hopefully for my cowlick area to thicken up. I'll be on finasteride for a year this October. I've seen progress so I'm still hopeful.

You're right personally I'd rather be bald or balding later in life rather than have just some wispy hairs from a transplant and a scar. It'd be a much easier decision for me if I just had temple recession versus the diffuse thinning. As you know diffuse thinning is so sneaky, you may be a NW2 yet in a matter of months that can turn into a 3A or a 4.

I believe is was @shookwun who accurately said, that if someone with this little hair uses concealer it just looks like they emptied a bag of dust on their head. At least that's what it looks like in real life, these videos don't show the realistic picture. Concealer can be amazing if you already have a decent head of hair (<NW3), but you're not fooling anyone if you're above that.

Man, I met my brother (18 years old) and his buddy chilling out at the park the other day. His friend, also 18, looked like late stage Phil Collins. I'm not kidding, he must have been a NW5 or NW6, only a small dime-sized patch of hair in the front. He'll be a horseshoe by he's 20.

Then I recall never seeing him without a hat for the past 2-3 years or so. His Dad is a perfect cue ball.

Lucky for him though, he's had the same GF since he was 15. f***, nature can be so brutal. Robbed of his youth before it even began.

I am not proud or ashamed lol

people are so weird about this forum.

I had serious hair issue and this place helped me immensely. The impact section is a distraction. :)
