he has diffuse thinning, it is obvious in the photo, unless he has fine hair, which is not common especially for dark hair. He is 19 and has finished maturing most likely. The penis would reach adult size long before 19, for most people. He can start finasteride and, if he got sides, he can stop.You don't even know if he has hairloss. Not knowing anything he's tried or not tried you just recommend a treatment that could potentially limit the size of his genitalia for life? Why do you only take it every other day? Did you have sides? This shouldn't be the first line of treatment for somebody as young as him, extremely reckless and stupid!
Hair loss is induced by androgens. Hence, without anti-androgen drugs you would be doing nothing for the long term. finasteride should be the first treatment taken. Having hair loss at 19 would alienate you from society, it would not be easy for OP. He must take finasteride early on.
I take it EOD because it is of same efficacy and gives lesser sides. Yes, I do have side effects, primarily low sexual drive.
