Hey Stabber,
I think we have to make a distinction between gyno and increased fat/tissue. Big difference.
Sounds like Stingray's just got some increased tissue in the chest area, I'm still trying to mwork out which one I've got.
You said you had pain under the arms. That is not normal.

Look for fatty tissue developing under your arms and connecting to the side of your pec. Also, take into account any fat you had there before. It could just be feeding your paranoia.

Stand up straight and look in the mirror. That's a good indication. If they look like a 13 year old's (god forgive me for using that example) chest, then it's possible it's gyno. Some people get puffy lips etc... from gyno too.

EDIT: Mr telogen could probably give you a better answer
good luck

I don't know. I never made a habit of squeezing my tits before so I have no idea if this is normal or not. I would the muscles etc can be felt... is it fat build up? am i grabbing muscle? Bah. I'm just going to ignore it for now..

Well, i won't attribute it to the propecia...since I HAVE been actually moving lately...losing fat and doing some upper body workouts. Shooting my bow, swimming, wakeboarding. So I think I'm just building up muscle mass. So nyah!

Tighten your pecs and look at them in the mirror. When they're tight, try to grab them. How do they feel? They should be firm if it's muscle. Like I said, it may be confusing if you had fat there previously...Usually man boobies hang down and nipples are puffy.

When I flex my pecs they are hard, but on top is another substance, it may be muscle fibres??? theyre not eround, almost like a line across the chest, like thick veins.

doesnt sound like gyno to me at all. I think you would know if there was a change in your pecs. Mine are hard as well, but have a spongy feeling when I press them (on the surface). It's normal. And I'm not on any drugs

Yeah dude, this is totally normal... there is a fat layer surrounding all muscles. Also, if you are working out hard and getting yourself pretty sore, you wont be able to flex your muscles as hard during that time period. Once they have fully recovered try flexing and see if the as much spongy "stuff".

araporn – gyno *can* occur due to elevated estrogen levels over a prolonged period. So I really can’t see gyno appearing after a week. Also tissue just couldn’t appear that quick.
The first few months are definitely a difficult time. Be sure it’s gyno before you stop Finasteride.

In my case I’ve been on finasteride. for 10 months. I can handle increased chest tissue, as I value my hair more. I know, as I’ve proved to myself, if I stop taking the drug the problem goes away.

BTW If anyone is considering starting Finasteride, don’t let this post put you off. Finasteride stops hairloss.

Working out and gyno

I'm standing at the end of the diving board, ready to dive into the propecia pool. Got my first bottle of propecia this week and I'm just about ready to take that plunge. However, If I start a weight lifting routine, how will I know if I'm getting gyno??? My chest will be sore all the time anyway from the bodybuilding. Damn I wish there was better evidence for topical dht inhibitors!!
