Your hair loss looks very similar to mine: significant temple recession and slight thinning on top. I've just started finasteride and minoxidil today. Hopefully I'll see results like yours but... we can't all be that lucky! Congratulations anyway!

You attribute most of your temple regrowth to the minoxidil and I will be applying it there too. My question is.. how do you apply it? You are using the liquid right? I just tried applying it and it got messy. Either dripping down the forehead or getting in the hair around but not so much on the skin. The Regaine I bought has three different applicators, a normal sprayer, a "roll-on" type and a smaller, long-reaching squirter. Suggestions?

I use liquid dropper that comes with Kirkland package.. it was a bit messy in the beginning, but once I got small peach fuzz growing it was easier to apply. I haven't used Regaine so I can't comment on that..

I think I'm going through a very minor shed (losing about 15 hairs when I dry with the towel, compared to 7-8 before), but nothing is visible.. my hair looks better than ever right now. I'll post an update after I get a haircut some time next week.

are you using brand name proscar or generic proscar from the pharmacy?

I just got a prescription from my derm for proscar and i got the generic at my local pharmacy.

it's brand name proscar.. but as long as you get your generics from local pharmacy, you should be fine

Hey all, today marks:
Proscar 1.25mg: 7.5 months
Nizoral: 7 months
minoxidil: 6 months

Nothing really new to report.. everything very stable.. no new growth in the temple region, but very stable. minoxidil itching/dandruff issue is manageable right now. Now I can go outside without having to put on a hat, and I love this feeling. My hair is back! My hair finally looks "normal", according to my sister

Starting Big 3 was the best decision in my life. Get on it everyone..

A question... during the first month when you took finasteride (and no minoxidil or nizoral). Did you experience (increased) hairloss?

Check pages 1-3, you will see crazy shedding

Wow that's still looking fantastic! It's so thick, you can't even tell you've ever had any hair loss at all. Keep updating, it's encouraging!

I'm shedding again.. it's not as bad as my first shed, but I'm definitely shedding, and I'm losing density on top. Temple seems stable though. I hope this is just a regular shedding cycle.. keeping my fingers crossed

Hey man how it is going? You inspired me to start my own trip down the finasteride/Nizoral route. Will be adding minoxidil at the endof this month. Hopefully I will respond as well as you.

Good luck! All you can do is get on Big 3 and hope for the best.
As for my shedding, I think it has slowed down. I'm monitoring it closely.

Great result. You were norwood 1 towards 2 and now you are almost norwood 0.

Hey man, Vanezz told me in my topic you had about the same situation with hairloss as I had, so here I came looking. Your results are pretty damn impressive, I must say! :bravo:

How long have you been using Kirkland's Minoxidil? Right now, I'm using it for less than 2 months. Before I used 2% (from another branch) with some decent result, but nothing impressive as the receding continued. So now I switched to Kirkland.

How long are you having hair problems, and how long did it take for oyu to acchieve these results? Did you do anything else besides using the Big 3? Change your diet, stopped or started to excercise ect? I'm just real curious, cause I'd like to have the same regrowth you have had.
