I had decreased libido and watery semen discharge. It kinda felt like my penis was just there sagging and didn't react to anything, not even my girlfriend. It scared the crap out of me. Is this what you experienced as well?
Yes, exactly the same.

And how strong did your body return to normal after 2 months as it adjusted? You're sure you're completely back to 100% sexually? I want to convince myself that my side effects will dissapear also and not be a permanent thing as described on these propecia side effects websites.
Watery semen was gone after 2-3 months or so. Libido is back to around 95% mark I'd say. It does not affect my sex life at all. My libido has been increasing steadily over the past 4-5 months.

I know I'm repeating the things you already answered, but this is a big concern for me. You said you did tons of research. What kind of findings did you find that convinced you to proceed even with the risk of side effects? Thanks man. You can send me a private message if you want... or I can give you my email...
Well, I read everything I could find on the net.. and I came up with the conclusion that this was safe to use. I don't have links now (it's been a while) but I was convinced that side effects were rare and temporary. It's being used by millions of men worldwide, and doctors still recommend them for hairloss treatment. I trust MD's, FDA and other scientific studies done by professionals.. I do not trust online forum theorists.

You can reply here any time you want! We are all in this together, I'm glad to help out. Cheers

Nice. Thanks.

I respect your courage to keep taking the pills even though you were starting to experience the symptoms. I hope I can recover too like you did and have my normal bodily functions return 100%. Do you know anyone else personally that experienced symptoms that dissappeared after prolonged use?

So how do you get your propecia? You get proscar and chop it up? How difficult is it to do that? Do you have a special cutter?

Buying regular propecia is ridiculously expensive. Do you know any good websites to buy those generic finasteride pills from India? If I'm going to commit to this long term, might as well plan with most efficiency.

I also have a bottle left from last time (prob like a year old) with some pills. You think these ever 'expire' or go bad? You think it'll still have the same potency as before?

Thanks man, I feel a strange bond with you (not in a gay way). Its good to know someone very similar to me is or has gone through the same thing.

I don't know anyone personally.. no one knows I have a hairloss problem so I just keep it quiet. I know many people on this forum though, who initially experienced sides and got better.

I buy proscar from local pharmacy and chop it up using a small scissor or a razor blade. It's impossible to cut it exactly 1/4th.. but it doesn't really matter. I never buy my finasteride online, they could be fake. I always buy my finasteride at a local pharmacy, that way I know it's 100% legit. Using Proscar costs me around $15 bucks per month.. and I know it's 100% legit. It's pretty cheap I'd say.

I can't answer this question because I have no idea. Maybe someone else can chime in :)

Great result! Congratulations
I'm going to buy Proscar the next week and already have been using Nizoral for about 1.5 months. However, not so sure about the minoxidil cause the one which my local pharmacy can offer doesnt seem too reliable and genuine. It's still minoxidil though, so does it matter which exact product to buy?
The only thing horrifies me - your shed in the beginning. I have pretty much to lose so can you check out my story and say what do you think?

Re: Zeroheat's Story-(Temple loss, Big 3, Update pg 16)

hey zeroheat. great regrowth! seriously.. have not seen anything like it..

It gives me hope cos I'm asian as well.. though I've been using propecia for nearly 2 years, it doesn't do anything to thicken up the crown area (I'm thinning at the crown, hairline is fine), so either propecia is not working for me at all or I need to throw in minoxidil to the mix.. but scared shitless of the infamous regular minoxidil shed and it's effect being temporary (though your story seems to dispel that)

I've got a feeling that your thickening up even at the top is due to minoxidil more than finasteride, cos I don't think finasteride does much in terms of thicken hairs up.. that's just my take.

Do you think I should start minoxidil after 2 years of no success with finasteride? what was your theory behind starting finasteride with minoxidil at the same time? as opposed to starting them one after the other to see which one gave you the most effect?

Sorry for all the questions bro, and good on ya for staying on the forum even after winning the battle. :bravo:

There was a graph showing the hair count for finasteride vs. finasteride+minoxidil.. that's what convinced me to start minoxidil. I wouldn't call finasteride a failure, perhaps it is preventing further hair loss..

Yeah it's pulled back.

Hey Zeroheat, thanks for the reply.
The reason I am suss about finasteride helping me is because I still get the same itchy scalp before and afer finasteride, which feels like male pattern baldness is still attacking the follicles..

just wondering.. did you have a itch/irritated scalp before you started any regimen?

lol i see.. good that you didn't let it bother you as much as it did for me.

so for the itch you got before any treatment, was it only local to the crown? the hairline? both? or the entire scalp? If you still remember...

Hi ZH..Congrats on your phenomenal regrowth. :bravo:

Are you still taking finasteride & Min or have you stopped taking them after getting the regrowth? Did you ever stop the regime completely & if you did, did you end up losing what you gained?

:)

I can't really remember, I'd say entire scalp

Thanks, I'm still taking my meds and will never quit. I know I'll eventually lose it all if I quit.
