Youtube suggested this garbage to me. It was a bit entertaining even though it's really dark. Hopefully I won't waste too much time on this in the future.

It's apropos to many of our discussions here and consistent with what @WhitePolarBear has written many times. Ugly, rich, or ugly, socially connected men can get beautiful women due to circumstance in some "Facebook official" capacity (if even that), but they're not really "getting" them. It's an artificial relationship of convenience.

I cringed at the anger of both men. They come off as truly delusional, multiple times over.

Those typ of girls are nice to have freaky sex, you dont show them to your parents lol. Why he even got into her. Relatively socially aware guy here, those videos are all fake.

But my point remains true, men who can't reach the top 20% when it comes to looks looks (and I include height in looks as in tangible characteristic) are fucked if they want to pursue a genuine and solid relationship.

There's a certain effortlessness in my current relationship that's provided by my looks and height. Of course I still need to be attentive, to learn not to be a dick to her, to have my sh*t together etc. But I'm never feeling like I'm fighting an uphill battle to keep her interested.

And as I've said before, physical attraction is the real cornerstone of a romantic relationship, it's what's left when everything else goes to sh*t, and with the stress of your respective daily lives, the burden of rising children, the tragedies of life, you can be sure that it's coming, it's very hard for to couple not to end up being at each other's throat when it becomes all too much, and I believe genuine physical attraction will be the safety net that will save your relationships during those harsh times.

The guys who have it backwards, who think they can make up for their lack of looks, height or hair by working on themselves, by increasing their status, by learning the Venusian Arts ( @shookwun ), those are the guys who will get destroyed when those difficult times come. I've always known this intuitively, when I witness a harsh divorce happening around me, the guy's almost always an overweight balding beta male. To the point that you completely understand why his wife is running away from him with a look of disgust on her face.

Well said sir. Lightning may strike here and there, but the fact is if you don't meet a certain looks threshold, you have no chance. You might be able to lure a gold digger if you stumble upon wealth, but you won't ever find true love. If you got cucked by the genetic lottery, you might as well just recognize your place in society and LDAR. It will be a lot less humiliating in the long run.

Old couples who are in their 80s may not have had sex for a decade, and probably aren’t infatuated with one another anymore, but they have an enduring bond because of the things they’ve shared.

I'm fed up by people who use the exception to demonstrate that there is no rule or that the rules don't matter.

Goddamn confirmation bias or sometimes ideological possession in the case of Muslims for example, somehow they're deeply convinced that rules don't matter because well, God decides, so even if you can prove that something is true in 99% of cases, they'll say it doesn't matter because it's the 1% cases that might manifest. Jesus, that justification fucked with my head for quite a while. In the end, it's just an assault on reality.

If you push the reasoning further, since science, reason, intuition, anecdotal reports, philosophy, well any of the tools we currently have at our disposal to describe and understand reality can't ever be 100% certain, well nothing is certain. But. God knows.

The reasoning the blue-pilled crowd and other hopeful betas will use is the same: "Look at this extremely rare exception, that means looks don't matter!" No, it means that you've just witnessed an exception to a very widespread and solid rule that's true cross-culturally. And as you say, you'll have more chance to be struck by lightning than to end up in a relationship with a hottie as an average balding Joe.

I can relate to that since I fall short of being Chad, I'm somewhere around a 6,5/10 facially, 6'3 and fit. So I can do very well with looksmatched girls, but I could always forget about model-looking girls. Lightning struck in my life once, and I ended up with an 8+ tall girl, boy it didn't last long, and the embarrassment when people inevitably asked (even my friends): "Man, how did you do that? You think you'll ever manage to do that again?"

Yeah I just got incredibly lucky, especially since I was sporting a slick NW5 at the time, so it was even more unlikely. It has never happened again since. And the relationship quickly burst into flames. Lessons learned: know your place. I still have fap-inducing memories of her, it will always be "that time I cheated the system somehow".

I think by the time most couples reach their 80s, both partners no longer desire sex due to physical issues as frequently as in their younger years, if they desire it at all. But by then, it's probably mutual and not an issue like it would be when they were in their prime years. Being married for almost 24 years, I agree with both you and WPB: An endearing bond and still being physically attracted to each other are important. Without both, I feel our marriage wouldn't be complete. Neither of us looks as good as we did when we met, but we both haven't let ourselves go and still want to be desirable to each other.
