I am 16 year old but no hairloss so far i am having all hairs but my grand father mums side is bald as balls i want to know that how i can prevent hairloss forever about 50 years plz help i am really pissed off...

Currently you have a good amount of hair. Early treatment is key to saving your hair, because
unfortunately it does look like it could go the route on your mother's side of the family.

Five percent can definitely grow it all back at twenty. When I was twenty, I could grow all of it
back with only two percent (only option back then).

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

On a side note, there will be an initial shedding period, if you use minoxidil.

If that bothers you, than I recommend only putting it on your temples and crown
for now. In three to four months, there should be progress.

Right I am going to go to a gp in September after my holiday... I will then use Minoxidil.

However, I need help desperately with washing hair. My hair is obviously thin and it gets super greasy every morning and nearing the end of the day. I usually wash my hair in the morning as it is so greasy and makes me look even balder! I need shampoo to stop it feeling and looking greasy but I heard it is bad to shampoo every day!!

So I need some advice from someone please on what shampoos or ways to wash for my hair. It is always GREASY!!

i don't know much about shampoos, in my experience they made little difference to my hair. shampooing every day won't make your hair fall out any faster; they say it is bad for your hair because it dries out each strand etc

Another Update:

I want to post as many pics as possible for people to see if they have similar to me and if I am balding badly or whatever. So here are some side views when just waking up so incredibly greasy and I need a haircut (which is the biggest chore when balding). Got some crown shots too...

Feedback would be appreciated! Stay calm if you are balding!!

Jump on finasteride and tou should be fine for few years.

Washing hair everyday is fine. Doesnt make a blind bit of difference in terms of balding

Get rid of any shampoo that has SLS in it. That sh*t is an industrial strength detergent. Not good for the scalp. Most shampoos that people buy have it in it.
Unfortunately, nizoral has it in it too. But that's something you would only use 1-2 times a week if you decide to do so.

Get a shampoo that is as natural as possible. There are even some good "hairloss" shampoos out there that are gentle on the scalp.

SLS can inflame your scalp. It's not a cure, but taking good care of your scalp is a good thing to do when losing hair.

When you say for a few years do you mean 3 or 4? If so does my hair look that bad that I will be bald by then at age 25???

Cheers for the info man, by the way how do you think my hair looks in the pictures, normally it looks nicer but as it was so greasy it looks worse, so that is an example of what it looks like each morning before washing...

Your hair looks finasteride. I started finasteride around your age and im 30 now with decent head hair still.

You dont look like youve aggresive hairloss so you wont be bald by 25. But if you dont treat it you could be nw3

What I do notice is that on sweaty, or hot days with the heat rays on my hair it makes it very greasy and any products I use (which is wax) seems to fall out and my hair looks sooooo bad, it is very limp and never stays in a set place. Slight gust of wind and I look like the mad professor ffs!!

Right now as I write this I was out sunbathing and it is currently the evening, now my hair looks awful and the crown is red under bright light with visible thinning, and looks worse than other times of the day...

Are you joking or serious? If you are I have just had a heart attack :O
It's just... Your only 20 and you clearly have male pattern baldness.
I'm not being crule, dude.
I really hope your hair stabilises and you lose it slowly.

All the best, mate.

Believe it or not, over washing hair will make it more oily. Personally, I wash my hair the third day.

Hot water can clean it. It depends on the texture of your hair. Some people have more oil than others.

You're right about washing it too much. Although it won't cause permanent damage, it will cause your hair to thin, and look
thinner.

Recommending Minoxidil foam for you. That won't cause dandruff.

Cheers bro, I have to wash my hair everyday or it looks so thin and greasy, but now I am only using shampoo every other day and on the day I do not use shampoo it feels thicker but gets greasy in the evenings faster, so I tend to use shampoo on days I go out or whatever... Maybe it is the type of Shampoo I need but my hair is literally always greasy it seems... Then it irritates my scalp and hairline causing itchiness occasionally around hairline and crown.

Hate to say it, but I would recommend shaving it now and getting used to the look.

IMO, that's pretty aggressive for 20.

we're close to similar and every male in my family is bald.

I shaved my head when I was 23 and that's when I noticed how bad my hairline was. In hindsight, I really wish I just kept it shaved.

I'm stuck hiding it, taking Finasteride and using toppik now.

Some nighshots, seems my crown is the worst culprit annoyingly. Dont mind hairline just crown is the worst... Atleast the rest of the hair is thicker on top.

Minoxidil and finasteride for me... joy.

Last year I said the same thing. That I didnt care too much about the hairline.

When it starts to get worse , you'll change your tone
