haha, you think he'll retire? you've got to be kidding me. No way he'll end his career on such a pathetic super bowl loss. You can argue till your blue in the face but i guarantee he'll be back for the '09 season.

What a disaster this season was for the Cowboys...

Romo's back is so wrecked I knew the game was over in the first 10 minutes. His arms, legs and head was moving but it was like there was a steel rod going up his spine....

Heart breaking season....

Cassin, it's not over yet, is it? I think the Cowboys can still get in with a little help. I was rooting for them hard on Saturday night since they would help out the Pats by beating Baltimore, so I was disappointed in their performance. I hate that the Pats likely won't make it. They've been such a gritty and tough team this year. Also, the Pats are on at 1, and the Jets/Dolphins are on at 4. That means that if the Pats beat Buffalo, then we have to sit around and watch Eric Mangini and the Jets, who hate the Pats and will have nothing to play for, try to beat the Dolphins. What a bummer. I wish they'd move that game to 1...I really think this Pats team could make noise in the playoffs...especially in bad weather games where their secondary may not get exposed too badly. As for the Cowboys, this season was definitely a let down. It's pretty safe to say that if Romo never went down with the hand injury, they'd be in the playoffs. Cassin, don't you think your Cowboys should go after a better backup QB?? I definitely learned the value of a good backup this year...you never really know when the franchise QB could go down...it can happen so easily. So what do the Cowboys need to happen to get in??

well, at least you aren't a Brown's fan...like this guy :thumbdown2:

Our shot at what looked like a great season...leads to 4-12, getting shutout by Cincy Bungles...what a cursed city I am from!

Yes, definitely a tough season for the Browns...I thought they'd make some noise this year. Something tells me Romeo's days as coach are over real soon. At least you have Lebron for basketball..............

Yes this is true, the Cavs are looking great this year...as are the Celts. Looking forward to seeing those 2 teams battle it out for the top spot in the east this year.

Tribe should be better in 09 too...they seem to always be good during odd numbered years.

Its not over and they can get in with a simple win but I am so disappointed that it took other teams to lose Sunday for it to happen. Yeah we have been massively pummeled by injuries this year (even Roy Williams got hurt with a massive foot injury in game 1)

I was way more upset when I wrote that post than I am now. :)

More than anything I am disappointed that Brad Johnson sucks so bad...we gave that dude so much money.

And I am fiercely disappointed in the O-Line. Romo is so mobile but he is getting killed inside/outside the pocket and he is a wreck. The fact he is walking is a miracle.

yeah, he is one thing i am happy about. honestly, a few things fall our way earlier in the season, this could have been a completely different season. we had a lot of close, tough losses, and then our guys just got injured or gave up. we need a new coach in there who knows how to discipline these whiny millionaires (b. edwards!) and actually knows how to manage a clock. though it is another lost season for the browns, I am more hopeful for next year than after some of those lost seasons a few years ago.

Cassin, I think the Cowboys are the "Team nobody wants to face in the first round"...or any round, for that matter. The O-line is a cause for concern, but I don't think the Cowboys can go too far if Barber isn't healthy. Choice has been good, but on the 3rd and short plays, Barber is as good as they come...he doesn't look like the guy that bowls over linebackers that I'm used to seeing. With the talent that they have, though, they can't be counted out of any game.

Yeah I agree with all of it but I am just so deflated right now...

The Cowboys have a decent shot if our defense wouldn't fricking GIVE UP and quit in the fourth quarter.

How frustrating...a gritty 11 win Patriot team didn't get in. I really thought they would've made noise in the playoffs...actually, I had it all planned out...the Pats would beat the Dolphins or the Chargers in round 1...then win in Tennessee, and then win in Pittsburgh...and then get revenge on the Giants in the Superbowl. Oh well...always next year. Now I get to hear all of the "Should we trade Brady?" talks all offseason.

And to the few Cowboy fans on here...sorry for the letdown season...that's a bummer. Wade Phillips needs to get the boot.

My prediction: A Manning vs. Manning Super Bowl that will be hyped like nobody's business. I like the Colts going all the way...........

Well the Lions had another great season.

Cassin, do you now agree with me that the Lion's management and owner are the worst in professional sports history? I say it ain't even close any longer.

The question isn't directed at me, but I agree wholeheartedly. That franchise is screwed.

In the last game of the year, the camera panned the crowd and the owner, William C. Ford, was seen smiling and appeared jovial.

The guy is the worst owner of a professional sports franchise in history. Matt Millen was the worst GM in professional sports history.

Yeah I agree...you have taken the crown from the Texas Rangers. Congrats!

I'll post some thoughts on the Cowboys later....needless to say I am deeply disappointing.

Not doing this to rub it in, Cassin, but wow. I don't know that I have ever seen any set of circumstances line up so well for any team as it did for the Eagles last sunday. First of all, to have Tampa lose to Oakland, then Chicago lose to Houston was almost unimaginable. Next, to have both those teams lose before the start of the Eagles/Boys game so that we knew whoever won was in. Then the game itself. I won't go into because its still a senstive subject. I think we can take Minnesota and I know we can beat the Giants at the Meadowlands. Should be an interesting playoff season.
