Romo wasn't right yesterday... he looked horrible. I know he was getting banged up a lot, but with his weapons there is no way he shouldn't have been able to go "West Coast" and work on the option and short pass game, and get the ball released faster. My boy Witten only had 55 yards receiving? No way... in a game like that where you're getting pressured, I would have had Witten running short routes across the middle (instead of the longer fly routes downfield), Romo and Barber doing all sorts of option patterns, really opening up quick options and causing confusion to divert some of the pressure.

I only watched the second half, and it was frustrating to say the least. I'm frightened that Romo might be questionable due to the injury, but in a way I'm somewhat relieved that there was some sort of physical reason why he looked so bad. And I don't necessarily mean he looked bad from a stats perspective, but rather, he was just carrying himself in the last quarter like he was a defeated man... slumped shoulders, glum expression, not a lot of energy.

Matt McBriar who is a badass punter, top 3 in the league is out for 6-8 weeks
Romo out 1 to 4 weeks
Felix Jones out 2 weeks

All in 1 game.

Kill me...just kill me... I'm gutted.

If they can go 2-2 over the next 4 I will feel better.

I'm pretty sure they'll beat St Louis, but Tampa will be tough, as wil the Giants, and then there's a bye week...then Romo should be back for a showdown in Washington. I think Romo will only miss 3 games at the most given the bye week, and Jones probably 1 or 2. McBriar, however, they'll miss for a while. The toughest part of course is the fact that the entire NFC east is good, so they really can't afford to lose 2 of the next 3.

And is that really what happened to Winslow?

We got Roy Williams
Looks like Romo may play this weekend

Hope!

I have Williams on my fantasy team...is he playing this weekend already? What will his impact be? Will he replace Crayton as the #2, or replace Hurd/Austin as the #3?

And is this the first time in history that 2 players have played together with the same exact name???

Brady has second knee procedure, report says

Oct 17, 2:18 pm EDT

BOSTON (AP)—Tom Brady has undergone a second procedure in 10 days on his injured left knee, according to a published report.

The Boston Globe reported Friday that the New England Patriots quarterback had the procedure Wednesday for an infection in his left knee that was operated on Oct. 6.

Brady’s agent, Donald Yee, did not respond to a phone call or an e-mail. Calls to the Patriots and the doctor who performed the first surgery in Los Angeles, Neal ElAttrache, were not returned.

Brady suffered the season-ending injury in the opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Yeah, this Brady thing is looking bad. Anyway, can anyone beat the Titans? They flat out play D better than anyone else in the league does anything. I don't think anyone can hang with them at this point...either in the AFC or NFC. It's certainly way too early to tell, but they look awesome.

Cassin, I love the avatar. Costanza is my favorite sitcom character ever.

haha...thanks

Well...I hate it when people blame the coach for a teams troubles but I point 90% of everything with the Cowboys on Wade.

He won't be here next year. Hello Cower....Better start looking for a home in Dallas because Jerry is going to make you a very rich man.

Go Broncos! lol wut

That was the worst I've ever seen my team play. I don't know what I expected though, since everyone that's any good on the team was injured coming into the game, or got injured in the 1st half. Hopefully the bye week does them some good and breathes a new fire into the team.

For such a gun-slinging start, they sure have fizzled out quickly.

They sure have. And injuries aside, their inability to stop the run is killing them.

Not looking good...not looking good at all. As I'm sure you know, there's an infection...now, at least one more procedure will be necessary, and there's a chance that the ACL may have to be reconstructed, so there's a chance of more than one procedure being necessary. This would be a major setback. I've heard that he'll miss all of 2009 regardless. Word around here is that contrary to popular belief, the Patriots are NOT mad at him for choosing the doctor he chose in California. They are, however, extremely concerned with his future. There was a doctor yesterday on WEEI, the local sports station, that said without any shadow of a doubt that he will NEVER be the same guy.

My personal thoughts on this situation as a whole: I think he'll be back, and will start for the Patriots again eventually, but it's pretty sad knowing that he'll go out as a mediocre QB. I expected 2008 and even 2009 to have been monster years for Brady and years that would have made him the greatest QB ever...now, that likely won't happen, and his legacy is probably tarnished.

Thats about what I was thinking. I'm almost wondering if he will just retire. He has plenty of money and a family. Whats the point of risking never walking again.

Sunday's match at Wembley might not have been an all-time great, but it sure was a step up from last year's water-logged affair. Still, it's going to take more than one U.K. game a year for American football to broaden its fanbase.

He's a pretty competitive dude, so I think he'll at least give it a shot to come back. I doubt he'll ever be the same, though. It would be a great story for him to come back and be really good and lead the Pats to another SB, though. On a sidenote, I have no doubt in my mind he uses plugs. (Not that there's anything wrong with that):
