Hmm its probably different for everyone---i think ALWAYS use retinol....no matter what age.
I honestly do not think at your age you need prescription strength unless you have acne.

start to add lasers as you skin starts to actually age.. maybe wait until you get into your 30s.

Don't go crazy or obsessive with this stuff so young..you will start to waste money. People will literally take advantage of you for procedures you don't need yet.

I went for regular facials most of my adult life, I had combination skin in 20s and 30s--so i would go for a regular european type of facial..That woman an old Romanian woman who in Romania was actually a chemist in her youth for skin care products--she taught me a lot about my skin and aging over the years.

I did not start to look into really anti aging things until I hit around 40..

I have not even done the anti aging lasers yet but talk to friends who had them done so I know what is good and what is hype..I have not done botox but have a lot of friends who do this...so I know how it works by seeing them talking to them.
Most women I know did not start until they hit 40.

there is something with Botox it is called East coast and West Coast face lol...West coast they want a frozen face---they actually LIKE that look of frozen and those people who like that style DO start early.
East Coast is very subtle its more of an anti aging not about actually trying FREEZE time or face.

Some people you will see them, they have super shiny skin and very plumped and very frozen--that is them over doing the retinol and peels over doing the botox and over doing the filler--and it looks in my opinion BAD. They probably only need 1/2 of much of what they do, half the botox, half the peeling, half the filling.

A little of this stuff goes a long way.

Don't try and stay 'young' try and just age gracefully with some assistance.

I do know what you mean about overusing fillers.

I think the very young look can be pulled off into the 40's without seeming "off". I think for men especially once you hit 50+ it does become a bit weird and obvious that major steps to prevent aging are taking place if it continues on. Tom Cruise for example looked amazing in his 40's, whereas now he still looks good but it is becoming a bit obvious he is doing a bit much to stay young looking. I think for example if he just let a bit of salt and pepper in his hair it would help stave off suspicions

We should get facials together :D

Recently was watching tennis match with Muguruza. The only I could think is what Chaddish offspring will she reproduce. She isn't beautiful but elite genes she consists of.

1. 182cm
2. HUGE wide frame (she mogs 90% of males)
3. almost ideal skin tone
4. proportionate tall angular face
5. jawline
6. good nose
7. HAIR
8. thick neck
9. fWHR is ~1.9
10. genetically mentally/physically strong since she is elite sportsman

One minus is Asian eyes and negative canthal tilt but I would take chances.
As long as she doesn't reproduce with a beta

I have very thin fragile skin under my eyes. I don't have wrinkles yet, but I see some lignes when smiling. I also would like to prevent the eyelid from falling on the eye as much as possible. What would you recommend for me ?

I think botox is the most cost effective and instant gratification option if your skin is very thin and creasing already.

I say this cautiously because this is about finding a GOOD dermatologist or Plastic surgeon because it can be fantastic or awful you have to find someone who is conservative and can 'build' it up with you over time so you do not get over done and also someone very familiar with doing the eye area.

Use the retinol too if you don't mind it, you can get over the counter types you don't need prescription strength...i asked my Dr about Prescription she said I don't need it, that it is over-kill can be very drying/irritating..I think she mostly prescribes prescription strength for people with acne.

Some people get the 'tear through' done with restalyne or Beloetro (a lot of fillers look bad in this area these two are supposedly only two that work well since skin is so thin they sit better)
Again you have to find someone who is very experienced doing the under eye area as it can easily look 'worse' if you dont need filler there.
I DOUBT you need this any time soon.
This is something I am just starting to think about and I am over 15 years older than you. I mentioned it to my Derm and she said 'not yet' but she is going to keep it in mind when she looks at my face next time.

and again a lot of lasers are available to help the under eye--but they are expensive and I am not sure at such a young age they are necessary yet and/or cost effective compared to other options above..there is Titan, and Genesis. Doubt they are going to be as helpful/cost effective as Botox but an alternative you can look into if you are not comfortable doing botox yet.

The upper eye lids i dont know if this would be something you have to worry yet..

that would come from muscles moving downward with gravity and weakening of the structure of face.

i dont think this is happening to you yet at 29

29 it is more about loss of collagen production

I think some women try to 'lift' the brow to avoid the sagging that can happen..some people try this with botox and if its a subtle lift this can work...soem people try with a brow lift surgically--i dont know how well this works, brow lifts (unless they made advancements) scare me..can look very 'Joan Crawford' to me lol.

My friends mother is in her early 60s she always had hooded eyes from when she was young when she hit 60 they really started to bother her both cosmetically and visually--her insurance paid for her to have her upper eye lids done..

So you can basically have just an upper eye job at some point if this realy bothers you.

I am not sure if they can use a laser MAYBE if they do the brow and the brow lifts this will lift the upper eye area..but the lasers to me is minimal benefit with huge pay out over time. So you have to research them.

Thank you nice Lady :D i am not going to do anything drastic yet, but I have to treat this area careful. I have rétinol A cream and some oils for the eyes. I will check with a good derm someday if I have the money just to know what to do and what to expect. Balding made me really aware of aging. Those two make such a lovely couple:rolleyes:

I doubt many of you 20s and early 30s need any of these thing for quite a while.

Why is this? I have a bit of 'puffiness' under the eyes (not bad) and have thought of getting Juvederm to correct it. Probably not going to for a while though. Can you really end up with eye bags from filler to correct eye bags? Sounds fishy.

Balding made me really aware of aging.
Me too. Curiously, I never thought about aging until I went bald. It could have been because I was younger then (<20) of course, but at the same time I used to think women in their 30s were the most desirable. As soon as I started going bald the fear of aging slowly started creeping in, and has only intensified as I've grown older (naturally, perhaps...)
I'm approaching 25 now and it's a milestone because at that age you are not really a 'young' person anymore per se. I have no idea how I would have felt about this had I kept my hair, but I suspect I would have been more relaxed about the whole thing. It's like going bald leaves no room for error, I feel like I need to be 'perfect' in all other aspects to survive in this world. Imperfection kills me, maybe I have a bit of OCD or something. Going bald has been a big burden on me (still is), but I've always had my youth to lean on. Youth in this time and age is a powerful thing. I guess I just have to suck it up, like with all my other problems, do my best to keep looking and feeling my best and move on. I've said this before, but youth is such a fleeting thing. The 19yr olds I envy today will one day be past their prime as well. And in a way that makes it OK.

Don't use juvederm in tear through, its too 'swelling' and spreads out so it's not good you need product that will stay exactly where they inject it...its very different then doing checks or towel area.
(Maybe in some specific situation its good to use juviderm but I dont think so)

Use restalyn or beloreto (think that is what its called).

If you don't really need filler there it can be more problematic.
If you don't need it then you can actually add to the swelled look.

If you go to real self.com they have a ton of pics of people who had it done and the pros/cons of it.

it's probably trickiest area to do.

Who are you and what have you done with EvilLocks?
Lol I'm just reflecting on why I am so age obsessed. Sometimes I feel like my own therapist, and when I see what I've written down it suddenly makes sense. I know I need to work on myself (inside) a lot face my future. It makes me scared that I'm so afraid of aging now, at 24, with a hot bod and no wrinkles or sagging. How will I feel when it actually starts to happen? Because it will. I need to get over this and stop whining, seriously.

Just in case it's not clear, my recommendation to Dante was a joke, it's part of a running gag.

Men get a lot of dumb advice, and in my opinion "get a tan" is among the dumbest.

That's right. It's right up there with "be confident."

It is important to forget about what we look like a little and don't miss out on life. I read less than I used to because I keep looking for a way to face my hair loss, I work out more, I look for products to retard aging. It's all really started after I noticed my hair loss... A friend also told me that I was getting obsessed. I went on vacations to look at paintings and get back to myself a bit.
I need some products to retard aging. What do you recommend?
