Have to add my 2 cents. Even if they produce a hyper realistic sex doll that both feels and looks completely real, it will never fulfill the emotional aspect of sex. The feeling of having a breathing, thinking and living human desiring you _cannot_ be replaced.

My problem is different.

I form emotional bonds easily with people. It's something I'm lucky for. I was born with good social skills.

But the only girls that want to go out with me are some combination of fat, ugly, and old, and I have zero physical attraction for them. They might make good friends if I wanted more friends but I don't really. I don't have a lot of friends but I don't need a lot at this stage of my life. Between the few I have and my family that's enough for me.

I want something beautiful I can feel attracted to and that appears to wants me too. It sounds simple and shallow but it is. It's the immutable expression of my hetero male sex drive. The only time I haven't felt it was when I was on cypro but that wasn't sustainable.

If I had one of these dolls i would feel content to date those fat/ugly girls when I want human companionship but just platonically. And at the end of the day I can come home to my perfect doll for sex. It's the best compromise I could imagine.

Again, you should visit Artemis type brothels in Austria/Germany (legal). A lot of the workers, if repulsed by you, won't have sex with you. They make good money, and they discriminate. Also, most of them know that poor acting doesn't work. The better ones just focus on providing good service. If you have good hygiene, are nice to the women, and are not obese/very old, it goes a long way
