Apple Cider Vinegar... part II

wow.. calm down guys. Do you actually understand the uses of apple cider vinegar in the digestive system?

I don't fully understand the purpose(s) of topical application of ACV, but as far as I can tell, it makes perfect sense that it can have an effect on male pattern baldness when taken on it's own internally.

I know you probably will BOTH disagree with me on all this, but I doubt acvfan came here and went through all this just to lie. Believe that if you want but I think it's very unlikely.

ACV cleanses the liver and kills candida and parasites in the gut. It is also an effective prebiotic meaning that the flora in the gut will end up in better balance. By removing these sources of toxins and cleansing the liver, the body's hormones will start to achieve better balance, resulting in hair growth through more optimal androgen levels.

But... yeah, take it or leave it :)

I drink (diluted) ACV regularly too - I find it tastes quite nice now lol, and I hear nothing but FANTASTIC things about it.

Peace! ^_^

Hoppi, thanks for backing me up! This makes me laugh! If everyone knew how low-tech I am- that I would spend time doctoring photos (which I only posted to try and help others) (between taking kids to softball and basketball games and working 2 jobs) is a joke. I don't even know how to upload the photos to this site- that's why the photos aren't under my posts! I'll take photos again in June; everyone can take from them what they will.

Hoppi!

I'm sorry, but is anyone really this stupid? Please tell me you're a 1st year resident at The School for Evidence Based Naturopathy, or something. Perusing your post history, I wouldn't be surprised.

The problem isn't so much as you finessing photo's, but it's more about the apparent photographed lack of regrowth overall. :dunno:

Any on-the-fence observer who hasn't emotionally bought into it - can see it.

Ok Rogazzle :)

Prove me wrong that cleansing the liver and decreasing the number of toxins it is exposed to (thus reducing it's own toxicity) does not have a positive effect on hormone regulation in the blood!

Also when I say "cleansing" I mainly mean of fat, as ACV contains malic acid which mops up cholesterol quite effectively.

But yup, deny deny deny, but it's all true :)

Hoppi!

And acvfan - no worries! The more I read the more I believe you, and hell as I say I believe it makes perfect sense! So great to read some testimonials for things like this. I truly believe that if people just simply were able to fathom this concept that changes in hormonal levels can result in male pattern baldness and reverse it (in genetically susceptible individuals), a lot of stuff would make sense that has previously been simply condemned. Something can have roots in both your genes AND your hormones.

But anyway, I really hope that soon acvfan I'll be joining you with a natural success story! My digestive system seems to be improving... and the more positive signs I see the more that gives me strength to keep it all up!

*crosses fingers!*

You know the rules ... you prove it. "If you make a positive claim, then the burden of proof lies on the claimant...." And the rest of that jazz.

But this won't be necessary .... Hoppi thumbs up on the trolling

It's actually pretty good material. I admit I took some of the bait, but I'm new here, and just realized it.

Rock onward.

My posts in this thread have nothing to do with the benefits of ACV, it's entirely possible that it might be a beneficial product.

My point about the photographs is that they are obviously not weeks apart as can be seen by anyone looking at them, especially when you look at the two side by side.

Therefore, it would appear that the strongest evidence that has been found that ACV is a cure for hairloss is actually nothing more than shenanigans.

I have no doubt that despite this, anyone desperate enough to find a cure with a "natural" regimen will disregard the clear and obvious evidence and ignore it, continuing to delude themselves that at last a cure has been found.

Shenanigans, delusions or an expertly crafted troll by somebody and their sock puppets? :dunno:

If people are dumb enough to swallow the bait without closer inspection, then who do they have to blame except themselves...

It's unfortunate, but these types of forums attract many prime examples of how being ignorant can predispose someone to having a shorter life expectancy.

generalizations Rogazzle -
so going an unproven all natural regime leads you to an earlier death than going chemical.
One may have a greater chance of failing to re-grow hair than the other... but as far as life expectancy is concerned, ignorance here can't hurt you... nor will it cost you much besides your hair (which face up to it now, you're going to lose anyway)

No, the point was ignorant people tend to make uninformed and dubious choices, succumb easily to persuasion and are often victims a various health frauds. Just look at the thriving weight loss industry for example.

Open-mindedness is a good thing though. God knows how far back I would be stuck with regards to my male pattern baldness if I didn't have an open mind. I probably WOULD still be sitting here claiming it was all genes despite my body SCREAMING the contrary at me.

But, we all approach things in our own ways.

This is not about being open minded Hoppi, this is about blind faith and someone deliberately posting misleading photographs.

I am all for being open minded, that does not mean being delusional and cherry picking only the facts which suit what you already believe.

Is it really blind though if I feel that I can explain it?

Depends what you're referring to Hoppi.

If you want to explain the fake photos and the hairstyle which has not moved in two weeks then please do.

If you want to explain your belief in quackery and natural remedies, then tread carefully. You've had a new guaranteed miracle cure for hair-loss pretty much every week and you don't have a lot of credibility.

Personally I believe that if you had even a fraction of faith in your own posts that you preach to others then you would commit far more time to testing them thoroughly instead of hopping from one thing to the next before giving even a single one of them a chance.

Either that or he doesn't seriously believe the sh*t he bleats. He's just having fun antagonizing people.

Ugh, man ._.

Rogazzle, first of all you just attack without even holding back to think. It's like your default approach is offensive, god knows what it would take to make you just take a deep breath for a second and think things through.

Gemini.. I know I've chopped and changed a lot but actually I've believed male pattern baldness has it's strongest health tie to the liver for a long time now (since... well, at least since last October and I've only been battling this since just over a year ago). Also, I've been using the same vague group of treatments for it since October, but have just been altering things as I've learned more. I'm not perfect, I'm learning, and it takes hard work, effort, time, and - yes - a lot of open mindedness.

I dunno, I mean if you both don't agree that acv may have helped acvfan like he claims, then there really is no need to come in here and make your very best efforts to tear what he's saying to shreds. Please concentrate on constructive arguments elsewhere as opposed to destructive arguments here.
