In all honesty the entire medical system needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. there needs to be regulation on what can be charged for certain items. 32$ for a tylenol is insane. I got 3 stitched a few weeks ago and it was 2500$. A single payer system, the ACA or even going back 10 years wont fix this.

It was proposed last year and it was refuted harshly.

Specialty Groups on both sides got involved after something happened (honestly can't remember what it was)

They then voted to remove it

Someone appealed the vote to court

I do not know how the locals feel about it (majority va minority) but they vote people onto councils or vote for people who appoint councils I am assuming

This is our process in USA

Majority of people voted against Trump but he got the electorals so he won.

If there are a group protesting, and you show up with the intention of meeting trouble with trouble, then yes YOU are at fault as well. Morality does not trump common sense and sensibility here.
Also from everything I read they were actually not being violent until the other protesting group arrived.
