With non STEM degrees in particular, what matters is the institution you study at. Courses like medicine, dentistry, engineering, physics, maths, they are relatively standardised. The university reputation is the icing, a real bonus. I don't find masters impressive simply if it's a masters, depends what. Pas is right, anyone can do certain masters. And I am not attacking you Fred but you mentioned that your masters is tough: no way, literally anyone can do it, if they so desire. I know someone who did a masters in international politics and got a good grade, was not smart either. It's a way of ticking the box for some people like going out with any girl so they can say "I have a gf/I'm taken."

I really don't know how it is where you live. But a Masters in Mathematics or Physics? In that case, I am definitely impressed. Same goes for other Master's degrees which are quantitative.

Think you misunderstood what I wrote. I never said a masters in Maths or Physics isn't impressive, I said the opposite to that!

Yup, totally misunderstood that. Basically, you're saying the same thing I was thinking. Almost all STEM master's degrees are really good in the sense that they can impress employees,... or friends.

I've met many STEM majors who were struggling to find a job, because they lacked the requirement that impresses employers the most in my country: the ability to speak both French and Dutch.

Not having it negates all your other skills. You could have f*****g NASA written on your resume, they would still be like: "But what about your Dutch level?!".

But Belgium is really unique in that aspect. It was sort of a hack for me to get a job. If I had done that master of communication in any other country, I would have been fucked.

Except France, I actually got many calls from companies in Paris because I could master (not speak!) both French and English, something very few people are able to do in France.

lol majority of STEMcels do not need to interact with people at all, let alone knowledge of 100000 foreign languages

your friends are just not competitive at all, I know that people too

or their expectations are too high for unexperienced work

any STEMcel who knows how to do his job will find it with easy – if it necessary, company will hire a f*****g translator

first job can be just for experience with very low salary but a year or two after, if you became proficient, good job will find you by itself – that is how market works

Why didn't you move to Paris?

Might be true in Eastern Europe, here STEM workers usually interact with others.

Most with STEM degrees and who are actually doing STEM do need to interact with others, whether in the corporate, financial, or academic sectors.

There are a few exceptions, but they're just that.

Why do you think Exxon, Intel, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, and CalTech own physical buildings?

He's in hid mid 40s, he's 6'3, and he has athleticism, eloquence, status, nominal intelligence, class, and money.

9/10 at least. But I know some people like to act worldly by giving low scores.

People say his looks alone are the reason for his fame and women adoring him, but he was actually on the scene for years before he became a sex symbol. His star actually started to shine after the Canadian election, when he made his cabinet 50% women, was asked why, and answered "because it's 2015." The status and eloquence matter too, otherwise he'd be obscure.

As a prime minister, he's all flash and no substance.

I notice Trudeau to be most popular among upper-middle class white woman, maybe that's not representative but it's what I notice.

There might be some idealization involved.

He claims to be a feminist, so he's perceived as a man who "finally understands". He also contrasts well to Trump lol.

His father, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, was also a sex symbol.

Here's are two pictures of his father, Pierre Trudeau, from when he was a sex symbol:

He dated Barbara Streisand, and married a woman about half his page, Margaret Kemper. Women swooned over him everywhere. The country was gripped in "Trudeaumania".

blackg asked for looks rating

yes he's at least 9/10 if we're considering status/money etc.
