Only people living in America know the details... I couldn't see that happening here in Finland. Don't know about the rest of Europe, could be different.

Very true. Maybe in France as it's an "image" type place as well?

But in MAJOR US cities, image is everything.

A big part of the problem is that people without hair loss have no idea how hard it is to get it back. All they think you have to do is take this pill or get a hair transplant and wala. So when they see a bald man they think that he has no one to blame but himself for not doing something about it. They figure we have no self respect and don't care about our image, but if they realized how complicated this often loosing battle really is then perhaps they would have a little more sympathy and not BLAME us for our condition.

How do you know? Have many people told you this? Have they told you that you're lazy because you're bald? I have no idea where do you guys come up with these crazy theories... :shakehead:
Yes, GHG I have had people say to me, " Why don't you get on rogaine, don't you care about how you look?" or "Why don't you just get a hair transplant?" It is no theory, it is a reality.

Man, I think if you posted video of this happening, people would doubt it too claiming you staged it. Some people live in a fantasy world I think lol.

I just saw the biggest f****ing spider crawling on my ceiling. I crushed that b**ch with my shoe so everyone can just relax. I won't be going to sleep tonight though... :freaked2:

Nice work! I gotta check my room every night for those little pricks! Sometimes they even find there way into my bed! I squash one of those little f-uckers at least every week. I hate spiders :(
This was no little spider. The body was the size of a quarter and with it's legs it was like 2 inches long. Upon closer inspection of the crumpled body, I realized it was a f*****g baby tarantula! SH1T, I hope mama doesn't come after me! :freaked2: :freaked2: :freaked2:

Why can't some of you guys accept the fact that a LOT of women find men with shaved heads sexy??

It is not BS! Ever heard of BBC (bald by choice) dudes with a full head of hair who shave every day because they know plenty of HOT ladies dig the bald look!

Oh yeah bald by choice guys are everywhere! They're all so jealous of us.
99% of guys look much worse without hair and for every Jason Statham type there are 100 Jason Alexanders.

Nice stats, what's your source?

Well until someone comes up with the bald guys national census I'll have to go by what I see, which is a few bald guys everyday and maybe once a month (if that) I'll see one who looks good with it. The fact that this forum and many others like it and all the hairloss treatments available exist tends to support what I'm saying.

You mean those stats don't exist lol? The funny thing is people tend not to be objective about this stuff. I mean I saw maybe a total of 20 bald people today out. 60 percent of them were old men. Out of the rest, only 2 were white guys around my age, others were black guys and I couldn't tell if they are bald or just do it on purpose.

And out of those 2, one looked ok and one looked HORRIBLE. He stood out like a sore thumb.

I think what does'nt help is that many people believe that most aspects of your appearance are somehow influenced by you, abit like getting fat or out of shape. So when they see your hair going they think that you've just not bothered to do anything about it, and many non sufferers hear about things like hair transplant's and rogaine and believe that they are fullproof cures.

lol...Thats a ridiculous number, I'd guess it's closer to 70-30.

Like Hatprisoner said most bald guys are pretty old so I think 1/100 is closer maybe if the only bald guys you notice are at the gym then it would be 70/30

In answer to the host of this post: You have thousands of donor hair just waiting to be trasnplanted. Go to Dr Feller get as much donor hair as possible together and make him implant it evenly around your scalp, this will still make you a diffuse thinner but a thicker difuse thinner. Then use courve, followed by toppik and wait for HM, whats the big deal? You have money don't you?

Whats wrong with spiders you pussies? Live and let live. :mrgreen:Oh nothing, until you slip your foot in your shoe and feel a slight prick then a half an hour later your foot goes numb so you go to the emergency room and they tell you that a brown recluse spider has bitten you and its venom is too far into your system and they will have to amputate your foot just above the ankle but other than that, spiders are great.

Ahhh yet another one of those posters. Do you know how much hair transplant's cost to get all those grafts? Do you honestly think all of those grafts take and stay with you, while none fail? Uneducated responses sometimes ugh!!!

Maybe he's decided to follow the trend and update his avatar and he is just looking for the perfect one.

I don't think SAF has ever changed his avatar, he would look WEIRD with a new display pic. Its like his board identity now.

I didn't mean that you couldn't get comments about it even here... but someone to come up and say that I'm somehow lazy because I'm going bald and practically claiming that I'm somehow responsible for it and to get on Rogaine or something, I just can't see that happening. I'll report here immediately if I'm proven wrong  .

Well, people don't stop me on the street for an impromptu session of advice (that sh*t only happens in commercials). It is usually casual acquaintances who know me well enough to feel comfortable talking to me about it, or maybe someone I have just met that I am in a conversation with. People just love to point out other peoples flaws, even if they do it politely (like they think their doing you a favor). I think they do it to feel more comfortable about it, which is why some people will make the occasional light hearted joke. They think their breaking the ice, but their really only breaking my heart :sobbing: ...lol.

I would say the people that don't know you do stare sometimes. When you meet someone and they look right up at your head, is another thing that I'm sure happens.
