Don't Be Delusional, There Won't Be Anything Better For The Next 30 Years. Deal With It.

How long until anything better (treatment, cure...) comes?

I'm hoping next year or, worst case scenario, in 2019 that a paper be released in which Tsuji's team claim they have managed to amplify epithelial stem cells, while preserving inductivity. That would be some painfully good news.
If something like that happens, then, I guess noone will be pessimistic ever again.
Then we'll b**ch about the cost and availability...

But it's already known that the first years it won't be available en masse.
As for the cost, I don't really think that it'll be that expensive.
It's not iPS cell technology, which is rather costly (thus far).
They extract follicles, isolate the epithelial and derma papilla stem cells, culture them, create new baby follicles and inject them.
When en masse, I estimate it'll cost less than 30,000$, which is big, but not unattainable.

I hope your right.

I truly hope so as well. My hair keeps receding while on finasteride and minoxidil, it's about lasting until the cure comes out. But I'm Norwood 4 and I don't think I've got much time.

So this bimmler is indeed a troll. He has posted the same topic on the German board and even bragged that he's trolling this forum. Meanwhile Tsuji is still on track and he looks like the assclown that he is.

Hey @Bimmler thanks for this bullshit post. It really paved the way for karma to bite you in the *** with Tsuji's very recent update of achieving expansion ;)
So because he achieved expansion, the cure is now two years away or what?
We don't know under what circumstances he achieved expansion. It might be more complicated and there might be more obstacles than we know of. Those people are marketeers...

frontier technology is always expensive.
Early adopters have to pay the price.

Actually in my opinion Tsuji doesn't give a sh*t about hair so they probably won't go through the hassle for hair at least. They want to focus on big organs and this whole kyocera deal is just a side quest for him he had to do to get the icon off the mini map.
that would be a shame!

Who knows even if it does just arrest it I don't think I would call it a breakthrough. Keep in mind when I think of a hair loss treatment I think of getting back what you lost.
indeed

Now that gene editing is moving to human studies for treatments other than hair loss I suspect that it will be in human studies to treat hair loss within 3 - 4 years. I think it will be in the regular marketplace to treat hair loss within 6 - 7 years. I think it will be combined with Tsuji's treatment - instead of simply re-injecting the cells back into the recipient areas of your scalp Tsuji will first do something to the cells to negate the androgen receptors in those cells so that the cells will be forever immune to the androgens.

Tsuji's treatment may come to market in 2020 and then go right back into new clinical trials because Tsuji will add gene-editing to the treatment so it will have to go through clinical trials again.
And in 10 years you will be immortal & forever young.

Nameless, please, restrain yourself from characterizing other people.
C'mon, guys, why are we always turning discussions into c*** fights?

PS. I'm not saying your arguments, nameless, are invalid.
Testosterone...

http://www.hairlosscure2020.com/shiseido-and-adenosine/

Its getting late in my part of the world. But as I said before Replicels first trial results were a joke for those that dont remember the hype before they released them. They had animated pictures of a guy growing hair back, and then after the first trial changed there tune and said they were immunizing hair. Have they actually proved thjs theory? And Shiseido who is a massive Japanese company that makes expensive hair and skin creams and shampoos. There product Adenosine which was and probably still is expensive AF, had great figures in trials and yet in reality hasnt even been as good as crappy minoxidil. Just because Shesiedo has licenced it or whatever dont mean sh1t
exactly!

Because pessimists can f*uck themselves. Pessimists like Kevins who are registered since 2009 have lost any hope and they are desperate af which I absolutely understand. What I don't understand is thT exactly these fkcing pessimists try spread their negativity.

You are sad, unmotivated and desparate? Keep it for yourself. If you have some reasonable questions as we all have then ask it but stop with this attitude: Nothing will happen, no new treatment blah blah blah blah blah.

We all have questions and this is good. Even I have many questions concerning Shiseido and Brotzu but do I spread negativity? no I am not. Learn from it or leave you negative bastards xD
pessimists are optimists with experience

Because we are already depressed as is. We dont need more pessimism in our lives
Why are you depressed?
Go get some counseling and some ADs...

I suppose time will tell. And that is a very interesting idea. Freeze cells to preserve their youth and then inject years down the road while they still have a relatively young life in terms of Androgenetic Alopecia. They have already started R&D for freezing and storing cells for future use, so at least we can have some reasonable basis for hope.
that will take some 50 years before being marketed.

But I don't look at it from the perspective of "the Japanese" as most here do: I see it as a company who rose to become a titan in the cosmetic industry making an investment they obviously feel is worth their time and I stagger to think they'd have become such an industry player over a hundred years by making too many stupid decisions.

The argument I made is that they're not in a position where it's in their interest to forge data which I'm also fairly certain is illegal, and that the general public aren't the ones who need to see that data when something is still in clinical trials, anyway.

I'll have all the evidence I need to see when it passes the necessary trials and regulations and is approved. If it gets canned, then obviously I'll know it wasn't very good.

That being said, I do wish these companies were more transparent with the public. Follica is supposed to publicly reveal the findings of their first two clinical trials (they planned to start the pivotal study this quarter) sometime in the near future and I really wish they'd get on with it: I want to know if this thing is going to be a practical solution for me or not and the wait is brutal.

But until then, all I can do is wait for the system to do its thing and scrutinize whatever morsels of info they do give us.

VW *lol*

People who just need maintenance or are just starting to recede don't really have any reason to be pessimistic they'll have something first. For people who need regrowth or new hair ya im starting to think we might be screwed.
What is your opinion on Setipiprant/Fevipiprant?

Being a pessimist does not necessarily equate to being sad, unmotivated and desperate.
Some people have been active in such fora way longer than us and have been met with negation of their hopes thus far. It's completely reasonable that they be pessimistic.
That's what I am saying! Thank you! :);)

I'd better keep up with this dutasteride-rich diet then, up until anti-AR gene therapy becomes available.
that's a good idea! ;)

But don't forget that for many of us our healthy follicles will also thin and shrink even in our donor area. As a matter of fact, it will happen to almost all of us over time. And the cells from those follicles, which are healthy today, will become less and less healthy over time so the new follicles created by the Tsuji process will also miniaturize more and more over time.
hmmm, that's disappointing...

There will be no better treatement coming out for the next 30 years? I find that hard to believe. Hair loss is a big market with people becoming more and more obsessed with their appearance.
people were always obsessed with their appearance...
