Okay, it’s just the pictures in this thread have the air of a Tinder/Instagram heart collector, and yet I’ve seen her write words to the effect “I know I’ll always be single”. She’s an 8/10 with no noticeable hair loss, apparently taking dutasteride despite there being no evidence this benefits women.

I hope you can understand my scepticism.

You got no idea what you're f*****g talking about. Her hairloss is real. I'd agree with you that she underestimates her attractiveness and probably is being over-dramatic about the effect of hairloss on her life, but then again so do 90% of the male posters here. The vast majority of slick bald men end up married and/or in long term relationships, but to listen to the insane baldcells here at HairLossTalk.com male pattern baldness sufferers are castrated for so much as looking at a women who's above a "2 out of 10." IMO the insanity here about hair loss probably exacerbates her fears and anxieties over it, since if bald men are disgusting monsters what does that mean for bald women?

She has not posted any pictures yet that show clear diffusion as she said so its her fault if people doubt her.

Btw she can speak for herself i suppose she doesnt need you to explain things for her.

It’s probably part of the appeal of her being here (assuming it’s not a catfish): lots of cucks to jump to her defence. I asked my question respectfully.

dutasteride can help women, just usually not to the extent it helps men. But now let's talk about how dutasteride is doing jack all for my hair. Me need now help. Still thinning on dutasteride. It's before the year mark so maybe I'll get some cesation soon, but I'm doubting it. Wack. Ordered some RU recently as well as some equol. Has anyone seem an improvemnt with dutasteride after adding RU?

I wore my hair down for a while today, first time in ages. I noticed that that back of my head is actually legit thick hair. I was feeling it thinking “if the rest of my hair was like this, I would look fine!”. Like, I run my fingers through the back and can’t feel scalp. It’s DEFINITELY improved recently. I find also that that my temples are a little better too. The only area that’s super fucked is my hairline and MOST of all, the very top of my head with never grows ever. Does anyone else on duta find that it’s been a little helpful except for your worst areas?

btw, do you also touch your hair in the back for at least temporary relief? It helps me mentally, no joke. Might look weird in public to touch your hair for more than 5ish seconds though. :p

I wear my hair up 99% of the time so not really. Besides it’s now shedding really bad again because of minoxidil. No matter what I do I can’t fight minoxidil and the fucked cycles it puts my hair through.

Welcome to the club, I guess dutasteride which I've been on for 1 month now is my last chance at getting anything positive... not sure I wanna experiment with anything else.

I use a spray made by L’Oréal used to cover grey roots. Comes in a few shades in a light blue spray can. It’s only small. I’m not st home so I can’t take a photo right now. It just darkens my scalp really so it’s not so obvious.
This is my hairline. It’s not very bad. My main issue is that my hair overall is really really thin and I still shed so much hair. Lost 21 in the sink just brushing this morning. I was so sad because yesterday my shed was better.

r u using this 1? can u give links to what concealers u are currently using I would like to make my scalp darker. cuz my hair is thin af..idk

Bro u have no idea, 2 years ago I was the most homophobic/antigay person on the planet. Now that I have started balding I am willing to do a f*****g MtF regimen and cut off my balls. I literally don't even know how you can say balding doesn't affect men. The only bald guys I see getting chicks are white men because girls prefer them. As a dirty subhuman ethnic shitskin I cannot go bald, and next year ill probably be a girl or something, f*** this world and my parents for reproducing.

Hmm, interesting. I've had similar results on a year of finasteride. The back/crown has improved. I used to feel a noticeable "breeze" at times, but that's completely stopped. Unfortunately the top of my head, and my hairline/temples are still bad, and continuing to lose hair. Im a cismale, and on hormones, but yeah, nearly in the same boat.

How's your hair now Georgie? Hopefully you've maintained at least.

I'm certain my sister is thinning on the forelock a bit, but she seems oblivious to hair loss and treatments. The reason I say that is because she commented on my hair when it was at it's worse state from ignorance. She hasn't commented on it since. I'm on the fence on how I should bring it up to her, but personally I don't think it looks that bad with a little thinning and it's definitely not aggressive. I'm fairly clueless about female hair loss and really don't want to recommend minoxidil to her. She'll kill me if it gets worse from it.

For me, the female pattern hair loss, doesn't seem as dramatic as males to the naked eye, due the drastic change receding hairline does to your symmetry. Jeez, now I sound like I'm from lookism. But perhaps we're really our own worse critic as even girls with big forehead if they style it normally, I don't think anything of it. I'm thinking this is similar to what a girl perceives a guy with a thick norwood 2.5 to 3. Or perhaps I'm the exception in thinking this way.

I'm fairly certain my friends girl has female pattern hair loss. Her hair is thin and frizzy with wider part. Yes, it doesn't look as nice as voluptuous hair subconsciously, but I didn't think anything of her hair, until I thought about it due to norwood spotting(I hate this curse). I'm sure there's a point it's noticeable, like when a guy hits norwood 3 with thinning, but nothing that jumped out to me at first glance, where I've said, woah, her hair is bad.

I've also noticed some young(teens to early 20's) hairlines(both male and female) from youtube, etc, and there's lots of natural hairlines where it looks like norwood 2-3(A). It's unfortunate, but your hair had a great starting point Georgie, and only because of that, your hair IMO still looks good to me.

A lot of women experience hair loss at all ages, but 99,9% of the time never go bald. It's rare in the world to keep your youthful and luscious hair throughout your adulthood. However, it's very common for a lot of women in the middle-east and eastern Europe to develop a wide natural part which make their hair look thinner, but that is not necessarily the equivalent of true hair loss in a "hairlosstalk" sense.

Of course, some women develop this "thinness" earlier because of stress and bad sleeping habits. An example of this, which I've noticed myself is if you visit a larger hospital you will notice an above average amount of young women (generally nurses that work long shifts) have below average hair quality.

Yes I agree, women probably recede/thin as much as men percentage wise, but their pattern is not as noticeable and aggressive (norwood 4-7 final pattern). I do see lots of norwood 2-3(A), very common.

Well, I can sympathise with the men because not only do I get rapid temporal recession, but I also have retrograde recession (the entire hairline), and diffuse thinning of the whole scalp with emphasis also in the top, sides and vertex. I also have loss/thinning of body hair. It all seems bizarre but sadly it’s just my genetics and crap hormones. I was hit with literally the most aggressive, fucked pattern you can imagine. No, it’s bit better or stable. Nothing for me seems to work properly. If your sister is thinning, it might be worth bringing it up with her gently. It could save her some extra hassle later on when she’s in a worse position.

I'll definitely bring it up to my sister. Sorry to hear it's not gotten better or stabilized for you. I truly believe hormone balance plays a big part but where that balance lies is different for everyone.

Did your parents bald early? My mum seemed to have thinning hair but norwood 1 before she passed away, but I've no idea when. My dad still had a a thick norwood 2 at 60, which all the boys appear to be taking after, except I've receded more than my brothers.
