@bridgeburn how long have you been on oral minoxidil now? I can’t remember if you got the dread shed with it or not. Still got steady regrowth wnd still on CPA? I was going to say that you could always try a progesterone gel to see if it gives your temples a boost but if you’re already on cpa I wouldn’t bother.
It was around Nov11th i started oral minoxidil. I still had some topical left so i used topical and oral on alternate days until i ran out of topical and switched to oral everyday. I dont remember when i switched to only oral but it was awhile ago so probably december. I haven't had any major sheds and still steady. I recently started cypro again. I might try progesterone gel someday if I quit using cypro. im a bit afraid of cypro long term

Ahh I see, ok. You’re not a shedder - Lucky! I am not a fan of CPA. sh*t is so strong, at least for me anyway. I only take 2mg in my birth control at the moment, but before I began taking avodart, I was getting 24/7 bleeding because 2mg to 35mcg eatradiol was so powerful that it made my uterus basically bare of any lining build up. Only 2mg. No wonder being on 50mg was so sh*t for me. I’m hoping to switch to proper progesterone 200mg to 4mg estradiol soon. CPA is gross.

Progesterone, dutasteride, Estradiol. all of those reduce DHT in different ways. together they are a DHT bomb. Also don't smoke or take creatine, those increase dht.

Lol a dht bomb and I’m still losing hair at an alarming rate. Man I don’t even drink. I’m so healthy it’s ridiculous.

Haha. I’m also using darolutamide which is supposedly the worlds strongest anti androgen.
I think I’m just screwed.
maybe you have a different issue, you mentioned something about cortisol?

Yeah my hormonal issues are caused by hypercortisolism. Inhibits the release of gonodotropin releasing hormone which goes on to affect estrogen production and elevate androgens. A particularly sh*t situation if you are predisposed to hairloss. Technically hormone replacement and dht/androgen blockers should help the same as anyone else, but it’s complex in other ways too like how it effects my immune system.

and you said this all started when you took Diane 35? Sorry if I misinterpreting this has been a long thread I've been skimming through last few days.

Also the RU we discussed above, is thekaneshop stuff already in it's usable form or do I have to mix it on my own?

"there are tiny hairs all over my temples but the ones in the center are the most stubborn. and they are not all cosmetically significant. Tiny hairs pop up all the time, but i have to wait for the next hair cycle for them to get a little thicker."

how do we know if it's a hair cycle going through and new hairs will start growing or if this is it and you're taking the next step to baldness-er.

I know at times my hair looks thinnish and finer, then can start looking solid-er sometimes a year or 2 later - I assume this IS the normal hair cycle working through?

Well I had been on Diane35 earlier in the year when my hairloss started. I think coming off it and the subsequent hormonal drop was probably the final kicker for my body. Now I’m just going to be on hormones for life.

You can buy the premixed solution from Kane, but you can also buy the powder on its own to mixed yourself. Comes down to what you would prefer to do, but most people mix their own. It’s all RU at the end of the day anyway.

I've heard of similar things happen to athletes using performance enhancing drugs, which are mostly steroid/testosterone based. Their bodies just stop producing it naturally cause the synthetic stuff is in the body and says it doesn't have to work anymore. This doesn't happen to most, I'm thinking, but then who openly admits to being a user/cheat in sport so hard to say how many get affected that way.

Too bad, hope things normalize back for you at some point.

so this would be the solution and RU in one - and ready to apply to scalp?

Also where do you get minoxidil in oral form?

and onion juice.
your head must smell lovely lol.
I'm considering adding 17 beta-estradiol valerate 60 mg in 80 grams of gel to my regiment. Would you recommend this or something else.
if you don't mind having gyno. but it depends how bad your hairloss is. probably best to start with dutasteride first and add the gel next if it you don't get results.
How much should I start with and should I apply it more or less than once a day. Will this stop me from creating estrogen natrually? What else can I expect hormonally while supplementing estrogen?
if yoy do try, Id say 1.5mg. If you only put it on the temples i think .75mg twice a day is probably better for absorbtion. Estrogen will cause less testicular activity which means less testosterone and estrogen will be produced from the testicles. however, ive never heard of it decreasing aromatase, it might actually increase aromatase cause it can make it easier to gain fat.

would 1-2 times/week be effective, in addition to the foam 2-3 times/week?
You might as well choose one and stick with it. Taking 2-3 a week will confuse your body because the half life isn’t a that long. Just take it every day.
