To tell the truth, I don't see the point in high doses of oral minoxidil if you're not going to take it for life.
When you reduce the dosage, part of the result will go with it, it turns out that you will get the maximum result, but temporarily. Then what is the point of taking 20mg if you are going to reduce the dosage in the future?
I'm still in the evaluation process, I'll see what happens, maybe I can hold the results in the future with another method, one thing at a time.

Hey did your crown completely thickenned up??
Well you must not have seen my photos.

Did I get my crown back?

Well, I think my capillary volume is now compared to when I was 15 years old.

Too much volume, too much black, too much hair.

We aim to serve on the Bridge and MtF threads and wow, many of us post pics too! We also try to preserve anecdotal data which many of the hacks on here seem to find "too lengthy to read". Baldness is known to impair reading pleasure so go figure; attack the ones desperately trying to find ways forward for XY's since many of the young ones appear to be suicidal and all. Tato might establish maintenance by titrating downward to some sweet spot and he has actually medical training.

Janey? I'm a lawyer so don't rely on anything I say except res ipsa loquitur and post hoc ergo propter hoc and I say that a lot on here and Reddit both....

If minoxidil was responsible for your hair growth, it is unlikely that you will be able to maintain the result in small doses. Reducing the dosage in this case will almost certainly lead to a decrease in the result. The problem of minoxidil is that it is dose-dependent.
The growth of my hair from the part was initiated by minoxidil, but I can no longer take it on a regular basis, it turns me into a wolf)) I started to reduce the frequency of using minoxidil a month ago, at the moment I take 5mg 3 times a week and now I see how my hair is falling off, it's scary, but nothing can be done))

I remember. I post lots for you and others on the Hair is not Life thread. I remember that remark of yours distinctly since so many others ask about frontal hair loss.:) Janey loves your screen handle too as E2 mights us emotionally able to admit, finally:

XY or not, I love and need my Goddess-bless long, lustrous hair.... Goddess hears those who ask but remember that She often throws in a nice pair of tits for free which can be both a bug and a feature but oh so nice and they look and feel just like <tongue in cheek> a real live girl..... I just love it when people attack me for "saying that hair equals life" 'cause Janey never said that. Bridge said that and eh, I heartily agree but I need to be available to all hair loss sufferers and open about the many, many things, XY's can do in life without great hair. Me? I am petite and take up very little space. I want my hair and my MTV. Sting sang that and his frontal hair loss magically halted and his fringe grew nice like a school girl.

So glad to see you around. If you want pics of any different phases with dates and estimates related to testing and/or protocol, Janey has this going back to the summer of 2015 which was not a good year for me as I abruptly lost my supply of Premarin and alas, my wife when she noticed that all of her Premarin went missing....Sigh. Still worth it for the hair and I am not kidding. Love the kids but she made that decision not Will and they was gittin to be all older and stuff. Hope the boys still have their hair at 17. Currently litigating to get both of them on finasteride..... I try to use satire often and self-reference in terms of flattering myself but also in terms of self-deprecation.

Only half of what I write about Janey personally is true; we just don't know which half, Will and I and he's a looker now too but Janey just loves her wig! Goddess giveth and then makes Janey prefer her "wig look" but Her ways are beyond us she says....<winks>

Yes but this is an MtF HRT and perhaps experimental thread so I don't think that applies to people in an estrogenic environment. Like you, I keep decreasing the dose but wow, did it seem to kickstart things for say 10 months and you can see my debate and posts about my reluctance about trying oral min and then my posts about drinking topical since about 10-20-20.

And yes, since my protocol and those of others on here are so hair friendly with twice weekly microneedling for me now and once weekly microneedling for 26 straight months and all, that I only have concerns about beard hair relenting since that's my only gray still but microneedling might fix that too via stem cell induction. Whitish/grayish beard follicles can only be removed by plucking over time or electrolysis which is not fun and takes forever and forever and forever and that 70's sound track with about 22 Elton John and Bee Gees songs was starting to drive me crazy, well, crazier, she says.<winks>

DM me if you like about your protocol and how it has evolved and any pics if you have yet courage to show. Many, like my alter, are too shell-shocked to ever post pics and I get it. It's memorializing pain, increasing pain often to little good purpose unless recovery occurs and for many of us, it does happily and it changes our lives and mood and outlook and makes us younger and nicer looking. Beard removal helps too.

Wow. Welcome, Zoey, love that name and we could use more info on your listed meds.

Janey
Ok I'll come clean, I have actually been following this thread since it started

My History:
Lost my hair in my twenties, had something like a nw5? bald crown, little unicorn island out front, it was like this for a very long time.

Started on finasteride & min (2017/2018) crown regrew. Added oral e, then CPA and over a year recovered to near nw2
(or there abouts)

I've since been trying to recover temples for the past 2 years, I've tried literally everything with no further results.
So I've kinda given up trying to recover them now.

but if it's ok with you all im just going to hang out here and see if there are any developments or perhaps things I haven't tried.

Current meds (usual HRT fare - not for hair recovery: Bica & estrogel, waiting for Lena EEn to arrive)

Time for my 6pm brushing but let me check my temples. I might be able to help you she says....
