well Shookwun, you're right. I just looked it up and it does seem that I might be skinny fat. At least when I compare the photo of me that I posted up above. I do feel like I'm built like that first baldie. Odd. I don't know how that happened. I'm hoping to get fit before next summer. My dad had a receding hairline and a beer gut by thirty. That's only five years away for me, I'm already losing my hair, I don't want to get a gut too, I'd hate that.

Skinny fat is better than most of america tbh so dont feel too bad... but yea definitely start working out soon if only to build some muscle mass. Your chest and shoulders look disproportionately small compared to your gut because of your low muscle mass + fat distribution (which seems to be pretty much only around your mid section?).

Yup, it's only around my mid section. Genetics. My dad has the same thing. Good advice. I'm going to start working out to build muscle, and to keep the lean build I have. Right now, I've only put on about five pounds, so I have this small belly, I'm still really skinny and you can't notice it when I have a shirt on, put I've never been able to put weight on before. I don't want to get a beer gut.

I'm a 24yo gay guy and my hair is ridiculously thin at the minute. It's really affected my confidence and I just don't want to go on any dates or hook up, I feel like I look ridiculous. Who wants to go or be with a 24yo lad losing his hair.

That is why bisexuality gained popularity. You can play for both teams and double your chances. So going bi might be your best option swing(swing lol). think it also depends on whether your giving or getting lol. The better looking ones can prob get away with being complete tops where the meh looking guys have to bottom it up a bit HA!

But is the OP representative of a normal young guy? He describes him as pale, skinny, shy, virgin, bald and probably average looking at best.

Hair itself will not be a determining factor for gay men getting laid at all. If you could get laid with hair, it won't be different without it. You might just be restricted by certain guys who are looking for a "queen" type of guy.

It is REALLY easy to get laid as a gay guy. A bar in my town turns gay after a certain hour on a certain day and me and a few friends didn't realise this the first time. If you want to experience being a girl in a straight club, just go to a gay bar.

It depends on the guy how many points you lose. I was more talking about gay guys, not straight guys. I understand how it can stop guys getting girls full stop but not convinced AT ALL that gay guys will have an issue getting laid. It will lower a gay guys value but not be a determining factor overall. Don't forget bros get each other on hair loss and generally are more open and horny.

This is the problem, you can't quantify it. A very handsome guy who has some hair loss where it doesn't impact too much, is still going to beat a ugly/average looking guy with hair, although he won't beat very handsome with hair. I think it's the pretty boy types with feminine features, pale skinny etc that don't look good with less hair. I went on a date sat night and she invited me to her house on Sunday, she even joked about my hair on the date and I joked about it back, she's coming to mine this week and have another date this week. Despite this I am taking meds because hair is always going to add some points.

why couldn't you quantify it?

you could just get everyone who doesnt know the people to rate before and after pics of hair loss. then average the numbers
