I would rather read Fred's posts then the boring, old, naive statement like "It was only a movie."

THAT was cring worthy.

Boo-Hoo, it was only a movie : )
You lack societal awareness, son. But you will learn in a few years.

I guess I'll agree I'd rather read Fred's post than that post, but preferably neither.

It just looks like nutty conspiracy stuff when it's implied they do it on purpose. I mean, what are we talking about here? Full-headed NW1 George Lucas uses his producing power and pushes the director of this film to be anti-bald so he can laugh at all the baldies and degrade them further? For what possible reason?

If you just mean this is more reactionary, as in, baldness is seen as negative, so subconsciously film-makers/creators use them as evil or un-trustworthy characters, I can see the sense in that more. But let's face up the the truth here, hairless heads aren't as appealing, which is why we're all here worrying about it, so it's pretty natural that it would end up like this.

If you're saying that more people in society should have some balance towards bald guys and sensitivity, maybe some representation in the same way that gender or racial stereotypes are broken intently, then I guess that's something too. It's just like, there's a million different insecurities people have, should we also be pushing the "people with adult acne are people too" agenda? There's a lot of different groups to think about if we start factoring in baldness.

It's not as widespread as baldness. And baldness has been lumped with shortness, ugliness

What's wrong with that? I was with you for a second there, I understood, but how is baldness different to other permanent things?

That's not true, guys stop growing among their friends, cute children grow into ugliness. And this isn't even rare, it's how it normally happens, especially with the shortness.

You just grasp at straws to why baldness is unique, sorry but other people have problems too.

You're born short or ugly. You don't suddenly become ugly at 18, you don't start getting shorter at 21.

I started getting acne at 15, but before that, I had experienced what having clear skin was like.

That's the crucial difference. You're used to having hair and looking a certain way, and at 19 (age at which my hair loss became obvious), boom, your whole identity changes (for the worse).

Acne is also different due to the fact that it's reversible. It gives you a lot more hope. Without new treatments, I know I'll sport thin hair for the rest of my life.

Better to have thin hair than no hair.

Baldness is the biggest individual astheatic "red flag" there is.
That's why your here. Would you really sign up to an "acne support" forum?

You don't think short guys get constant jokes made about them? Unless they're in a position of un-relenting authority, they definitely do, it is a constant, much more than baldness. It's actually way more socially acceptable to joke about short guys than baldness.

As for ugliness, that's beyond baldness, OR shortness, that's not even mentionable in a joking social situation, it's just beyond terrible. But everyone thinks it, and secretly talk about it, not even in a joking way, but when it comes up "(ugly guy X) just tried to ask Mary out on a date! Can you even believe that!"

And where's the solution there? Your problem is not unique, you are not a special snowflake who has been put on earth to whine about it.

- - - Updated - - -

You know what else is unique? Death and there is no solution

This is an odd comment in context but yeah, why not. It's something I think about a lot, and maybe this realisation of it could make some others on here be aware of how their constant pointless bitching about their "unique" condition could make them wake up a bit and realise they aren't the only ones working through problems.

If it was insistent, yes, I sometimes get spots, if it spread and was constant, I definitely would, do you really think that these kinds of forums don't exist? Please do a quick google search next time before making such a stupid comment.

Short guys may be made fun of, but there's nothing weird about a guy being short. People know they exist and it's considered normal.

My problem is unique. You'll not make me believe otherwise. I'm one in million, losing my hair so aggressively from the age of 16.

Men going bald in their late 30's, well, it's expected, just like short men at every ages are expected.

I'm not whining about it, just stating facts about what happened to me. If I say a guy mocked me in public, how is it whining?

It's the impact of hair loss section. What kind of post do you expect? It's again a problem of lower Norwood's versus higher Norwood's.

Be careful when you accuse me of whining, because it's going to be hard to stare at your ignorance and your hypocrisy in the eyes when you become bald yourself.

See? Easy thing to say on your high horse (under your low Norwood).

People with little hair loss are always the wise ones, the noble ones, and people who have experienced true baldness are the whiny little b****s.

This is a prime example of changing the subject when you're wrong.

You said that short and ugly guys don't face the same discrimination as bald guys, and then you went off on this tangent.

Baldness is also considered normal, in comparison with female baldness, so think about what you're actually saying. Nobody freaks out at a bald guy (or at least, not as much as your little mind hopes they do), but a bald female, or a bald child, and that's a different story.

Ha...I never said these sites never existed.
Calm down. I used quotation marks to generalise. A common practice.

You look foolish when you go off half cocked.

Nobody cares or knows what age you are when you walk out in public. Nobody freaks out at the sight of a bald adult male.

Nor do they freak out at a short guy or an ugly guy, but those are still problems.

Baldness almost always has a solution in the form of transplants though. It's not ideal, but it is almost always an option. There's no way out with shortness. And they're both equally demeaning and unattractive qualities for a man imo. Even you yourself, with your extremely aggressive balding, had the option to rectify your situation with surgery. And if your hair thins more - you can get another transplant. Hair transplants are available to everyone who has the money. What can you do about being really short? Nothing. Ever.

Being very short is also a massive problem, don't trivialize it Fred. It doesn't help you can't do absolutely nothing about it and people saying you're angry because of it like Napoleon complex or some other ****.

The guy looks terrible bald.
I don't know what else to say, it's his choice.

That's all I take away from this video.

Whining about a bald bad guy in star wars and an old lady who looked at you funny is pathetic. Get a hobby despite wallowing in self pity

Good video and speech. However, I disagree with head shaving, especially for guys in their 20s. Going sly bald is a way to guarantee you will never again get a girl who is under 25. You're better off just letting your hair decay, and then maybe shaving it once your reach NW6/7. But even a short cut NW7 can look better than sly bald. Prince William, for example, wouldn't look good sly bald.

clean shaving is just a way of hiding how bad your hairline is. The socially acceptable version of the comb over because it has to do with fake confidence. But I still think clean shaving is better than pulling a Dr. Phil.

It really isnt not for me anyway, you still bald when you shave you are not "hiding" anything, and unless you are blonde the "shadow" will always be there. I shave cause i dislike the look NOT to hide it.

Id say high and tighr fade regardless of norwood is the way to go.

Clean rare looks good. Even having slight stubble on the head goes a long way.
