Kind of sounds like some of you are mocking her

Hair loss starting at 15 is harsh male or female. Yes women can wear wigs and men can shave it so it's kind of like personal
Aesthetics choice neither great option.

Wigs do NOT look good on everyone and quality hair is expensive and a huge upkeep.
They are a huge pain in the *** and limits the kind of life you choose even your work life.

This male vs female competition even about this stuff gets really tired.

I think sufferings are even in average.

Males look more "normal" balding/shaved but have a stigma in wigs.

Females look disastrous shaved but they're more acceptable to wear wigs.

Women have it harder if they want to walk around with visible hair loss. However when women have hair loss it is considered "medical" and people usually give sympathy . Never seen a woman get mocked for hairloss. Another benefit women have is that they usually just get thinning but they don't go slick bald , which is a major advantage.

I think what it comes down to is that all women who are affected by hairloss are screwed ( have to wear wig if young) , whereas most men are screwed but there are some men who can pull off bald and not worry about it , but there are no women who don't have to worry about it. Just depends more on the guy, whereas for women it's bad for all of them

I don't mean to say it's worse for men , I suppose it's worse for most women then men. But for someone like me I am basically a woman when it comes to my hair lol because without it I don't look the slightest bit normal. I would drop to 2/10 for real

youll get ripped to pieces

impact section is no place for minor balding, no matter how devastating it is to you personally

op maybe you could post this in the womens section? or womens forums? surely get more sympathy

anyway good luck. try to save as much as you can for the new treatments due out in the next few years

if they dont come out, go on holiday and go f*****g nuts

thats what im gonna do. hair or no hair

I think @EvilLocks arrived here on her high horse and was like:

"You guys are pathetic and shallow! Hair doesn't matter that much for guys."

Correct me if I'm wrong Evil, maybe it was another girl who quickly left the place.
No, that was me, I had that account for a while actually. To my defense I was not in a good place back then, well not that my life's so amazing now either.

I'm guessing you're referring to me here considering I was the only one not kissing her ***. This place turns into PCtalk.com whenever a female posts I guess.

I will once again say that @Nano123 is privileged. She's a young hot girl living the life in university.
She recently broke up with her bf then writes "lol" after like it means nothing to her, she'll just sign up on Tinder and find a new one if she doesn't already have one. Considering she hasn't even logged on since she made this post she's robably busy getting schlonged by Chad.
Get's hit on all the time, then she writes blah blah blah after, this also means absolutely nothing to her.
Her hair is barely noticably thinning in harsh lights, but she's getting regrowth on minoxidil!!! She'll be pseudo fullhead in a few months.

Why should I feel sorry for a female living the dream? Privileged female whining about the one problem she has ever faced in life, yet she receives sympathy left and right even from people who would love to be in her privileged position. She doesn't even care to respond her white knights, because this kind of validation is an every day thing for her.

I get your perspective
I think for her age her hair looks bad
Hair loss does not just effect dating life and current situation
She has no clue what next five years will be like. It started at 15 which for a woman is kind of extreme.

It was not just you I think I saw few other jokes.

I feel bad for everyone who is losing hair male female good looking ugly young older
It's life changing and impacts us all psychologically

I think the fact she's is taking dutasteride is a signs she's not okay with hair loss and it's effects her life or beliefs it will effect her life soon.

You are right girl. It clearly impacts her. I even found my answer a bit harsh or not caring enough, but it is because I think it helps to put things in perspective... Some did the same with me and it was helpful.
Anyway, let's not be resentful b****s. Plus, it's not like she was whinning all day long in here.
Does not matter if she is priviledged or not @Patrick_Bateman. She is one of us. I hope her identity issues will not grow and we will have something better soon.

Agreed. When I first came here I was a hot 20-21 year old borderline fullhead as well, and I was freaking out way more than her. Of course I was attacked for this relentlessly, but I wasn't exactly friendly to the males here or understanding of their issues either, so...
All I can say is that, 3.5 years later I'm a Norwood 5 and wearing a hair piece, so I was damn right to freak out and be afraid.
It doesn't seem like OP will be a very extreme case like me, but she has all right to freak out and come here asking for advice or just to talk.
She never said she has it worse than the rest of us, she's just worried because her hair means a lot to her - just like it does to us...
She might be young, hot and borderline fullhead, but she hasn't said anything offensive in my opinion and since this is a hair loss forum and she's experiencing hair loss, she has all right to be here and talk about her situation.

It always amuses me when some naive (this word again!) arrives here and stumbles on a brutally honest WhitePolarBear post about the negative impact of hair loss, it's no surprise that these guys' reaction is often something along these lines:

"HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT! YOU'RE PROBABLY A LONELY BITTER BETA MALE WITH NO CONFIDENCE! WHO CARES ABOUT HAIR!"

Which is a normal reaction, it's never going to be something like: "Hey that makes sense, so my family and friends lied to me :)."

The other day my cousin told me "When I lost my hair (alopecia areata), my girlfriend told me she didn't care about it."

His girlfriend talked to me at the time, and a few months before he started losing his hair, she told me "I will never date a guy who's losing his hair! Never! Your cousin will probably never lose his hair anyway!"

I told my cousin "And you believed her, how naive can you be!" and proceeded to tell me what her girlfriend told me.
So, from memory, I think you said this girl is still sleeping with your cousin... or has she jumped ship?

Damn, you seem to really know a lot about this girl from reading only one post. One post, son!

The assumptions you made about this, lonely, suffering girl were, quite frankly.. beyond ridiculous.

Let's just calm down and consider this girls feelings. She is probably in a terribly dark place at the moment and can't even bring herself to log on.
I hope she's eating and keeping her strength up in this tumultuous time in her life.
The last thing she needs right now is personal abuse from you, or anyone else on this supposed "support forum."

It would be in this girl's best interests if you gave her situation some thought.

Appeal to your better self, for once.
Thanks.
