saturn where are your pics so i can see them?

thanks.
page 1 of this topic...

wow and you said in another thread in the hair transplant forum that your hairline is only 3.75 inches above your eyebrows? I have almost no hairline recession and my hairline is 2.50 inches above my eyebrows. Are you sure your hairline isn't more than 3.75 inches higher than your eyebrows?

My 2.50 inch hairline which I consider higher than average for my age:

ya it's between. 3.5" to 4" above the eyebrows. then the hairline was transplanted, the doctors said it should be a higher hairline to be more fitting for my age, & also they save lots of grafts for the top where i need them most..

Quite a transformation for a nw6! My honest advice is it looks thick enough but you need to bring the hairline forward at least half an inch. Then cut it shorter aswell. After that it would be great especialy for your age. But whatever its still alot better than when you were 30.

i would like too but it costs a king's ransom, besides, i don't know how much hair i can still afford to have removed from the donor site as i already had 5 procedures!. if they ever come out with hair cloning, i will then go in for a full head of hair! i guess though it wouldn't happen soon....

Saturn i think you should change your hair style. It would suit better if you let your hair forward like Noel Gallagher (Oasis) style.

no hair fell out & won't ever. i had 5 procedures between 1995 to 2001. the first 3 procedures were 200 graft sessions each. the last 2 procedures they removed a larger section of tissue, & they were 600 graft sessions. i had the older mini/micro grafts as they had back then. now they do the mega sessions of 1 hair grafts each, but my results look natural still.....

Most hair transplant guys comb their hair back as it helps to give the scalp coverage. You need a lot of hair to be able to pull off the 'mop top' oasis look.
Saturn you look like you got the appearance of a lot of hair from just a few thousand grafts. These days someone with your original amount of hairloss would get about 6000grafts from a good surgeon.
Out of interest how long did it take for you to get the full results from your transplants?

Saturn,

You mention you haven't lost any of the transplanted hair, but I've been reading doctors tell their patients to keep taking finasteride and even copper peptides after their transplants to assure better success of keeping the hair. Did your doctor ever mention this?

i would love to have the mop top look just like i did in my younger years, but i don't have enough of hair for that. there's a lot of confusion in the world of hair transplantation. these large mega graft sessions of today are mostly single hair grafts. sure they give a more natural appearance than the grafts i got which were the micro/mini grqadts with 3 to 7 hairs per graft, & then some single grafts along the hairline. my transplants look ok though. they can only move so much hair at a time. then it's diessected up in many grafts. they can make those grafts larger, or smaller, but all in all the procedure will yield the same amount of hair. my transplants i got started in 1995 through 2001. after the procedures,. the hair started to grow within 3 months. ya got to be paitent, but it works. i sometimes use some toppik in conjunction with my transplanted hair for more density at times. this stuff really makes a difference & it's cheap! i don't have to spend another king's ransom! i would love for them to come out with hair cloning so they can re-create a full head of hair for me....

no i never heard of this. i think what they mean is so they keep a lot of their original hair that is still there mixed in with the transplanted hair. if that hair falls out, more surgery will be required to make up for the loss. no i don't have to take any drugs & it would be a waste of my money simply because i lost just about all my top hair & nothing would grow back taking drugs. the transplanted hair never falls out because it's from the back of your head. the hair around the sides & back of your head isn't succeptable to the genes that make your top hair thin & fall out. if ya look at the baldest guy in the workld, he still has his side hair doesn't he?

That would explain things. Are you wearing toppic in your pic? I'm in a similar situation its a pain in the @rse is'nt it?
I wish I could just wake up every morning without having to worry about doing my hair to try and hide it. (just like normal people can).
I'm at 5months now with my grafts in your experience do you think theres much more to come?

i had some on in th pic, but not much has i don't really need much. after about 3 months the grafts usually start to grow, & hair grows about 1/2" per month.....

i come out of the shower, the wave of depression washes over me and my first thought goes to my ex girlfriend.

i go from being mr cool, whose cool, calm, and cocky..making plans with girls, laughing, smiling, i dont need anyone in the world but myself, to remembering what it was like to be with my ex. when i get like this i just wish i could get in my car and go over her house again to watch tv and be next to her. i start to think about what its going to be like if i lose my hair and don't meet a girl before it happens. i cant stand this $#iT man..when im styiling my hair and looking in the mirror with my hair looking good, i couldnt care less about the girl although i think about her everyday...but my attitude is just so much different i go from saying "her loss" to "i wish she loved me still" like a f****ing fagot.
I just saw the thread and it scared the sh*t out of me cause it was like reading my self....The part with the ex-girlfriend...and how you think about her...everyday...with hair loss having a much differenct impact on your break-up...and this: my attitude is just so much different i go from saying "her loss" to "i wish she loved me still" like a f****ing fagot

We've all felt like that, the helpless loser feeling. But its all up to you if you want it to continue. Life is so short. Do what ever you can and by any means necessary to get your life back. AT ANY COST. Your hair is like a job: alot of people will complain about their shitty job till the day they die, but the smart ones take a course , go back to school, ANYTHING to get what they want. And believe me, it will benifit you in the long run. They will swear to it. Down the road you'll be the happiest guy around because all this sh*t wont be on your mind. Youll realize no one cares if your bald, so you're the only one who will make the difference.
I went through all this full circle and believe me, when you get your life and confidence back you will never go back. In any aspect of your life. Dont be the one of the complainers, be one of the conquerers.
